Abstract: The present invention relates to a management and link structure of a flash memory. The flash memory is divided into several different types of data access blocks, such as general data blocks, spare blocks, link-table block, and new blocks. A simple data link structure is provided, and a management and calculating method for spare blocks saves time to search and write data effectively and prolongs the service life of the flash memory.

Abstract: A thermal-chemical polishing device and method for polishing a diamond film of a workpiece, the device includes a horizontally displaced first rotatable high rpm shaft and a vertically displaced second rotatable high rpm shaft that are perpendicular. The first shaft is made of a material from transition metals or rare-earth elements which undergo a chemical reaction with the diamond film at high temperature. The circumferential surface of the first shaft has a predefined heating region. The second shaft moves axially towards the first shaft to allow the diamond film to make contact with the heating region of the first shaft. A heating unit is provided to heat up the heating region to create a chemical reaction for thermal-chemical polishing to perform while the diamond film is in contact with the heating region. The device of the present invention increases the rate of polishing and also decreases cost.

Abstract: A mechanical type disc brake for bicycle mainly includes a housing, a mounting bracket for connecting the housing to a fork of the bicycle, a pull bar pivotally connected to an outer side of the housing, an actuating rod extended into the housing via the pull bar, and a toggle mechanism, two sliders, two brake linings, and a restoring element separately mounted in a locating space in the house at predetermined positions. When the pull bar is pulled, the actuating rod is caused to vertically act on the toggle mechanism for two actuating blocks thereof to move outward and push the sliders and the brake linings to create a brake effect. Contact surfaces between the actuating blocks of the toggle mechanism and the sliders are cambered surfaces to avoid an overly large frictional force between the brake linings and brake discs that would result in a brake dragging.

Abstract: A duplexer has four surface-acoustic-wave resonators, forming two filters, integrated on a piezoelectric substrate. The surface-acoustic-wave resonators are laid out so that the two resonators with intermediate resonance frequencies are separated from each other by one or both of the resonators with the highest and lowest resonance frequencies, thereby improving isolation between the two filters. In one configuration the two filters are ladder filters, and the resonators are laid out in a row in which the series-arm resonator of the receiving filter is followed by the shunt-arm resonator of the receiving filter, then the series-arm resonator of the transmitting filter, then the shunt-arm resonator of the transmitting filter. The two filters may also be separated by a groove in the substrate.
Abstract: A probe used for testing on a semiconductor package is provided which is capable of reducing scratching of a solder ball, sticking of solder to a contact terminal, and damage to the contact terminal. A diameter of an end portion of the contact terminal of a probe is set to be almost the same as that of a solder ball. The end portion is provided with a semispherical concave portion to be contacted with the solder ball and a plurality of guiding grooves formed from a center of the concave portion in a direction of a diameter and used to guide solder separated from the solder ball and stuck to the concave portion.
Abstract: The decoder for separation of Y (luminance) signals and C (color) signals from composite signals includes a correlation judging section. It is adapted to judge whether there is line correlation among neighboring signal lines including a signal line to be separated during each of the horizontal scanning intervals. A stripe component judging section is adapted to judge whether an image having vertical stripes is contained in the composite signal. A filter section having first and second filters is used selectively depending on correlation results, and a selecting section is adapted to output a signal to select one of filters in accordance with judgment results from both judging sections. The decoder is capable of preventing decreases in resolution in images having vertical stripes.

Abstract: A system for controlling the rotational speed of a fan, according to a reference clock having a reference frequency, is disclosed. The rotational speed corresponds to a fan rotational speed signal. The fan rotational speed controlling unit compares the reference clock with the fan rotational speed signal, to output a speed controlling signal. The Voltage generating circuit generates a level signal corresponding to the speed controlling signal. The driving unit generates a driving signal to control the rotational speed of the fan according to the level signal. When the fan is assembled with the controlling system, only coils with the same number of turns need to be use to obtain various rated rotational speeds of fans of different specifications by altering the reference frequency of the controlling system. Because coils with different number of turns are not required in stock at the same time, the time cost and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.

Abstract: In a COC type semiconductor device, a bump electrode of a second semiconductor chip is joined to a first semiconductor chip having a bump electrode formed thereon. The bump electrodes and of the respective first and second semiconductor chips and are both made of first metal such as Au having a relatively high melting point, while a joining portion of these bump electrodes and is formed of an alloy layer of the first metal and second metal, which second metal is made of such a material that can melt at a lower temperature than the melting point of the first metal to be alloyed with it. As a result, in the COC type semiconductor device, when interconnecting a plurality of semiconductor chips, their electrode terminals can be joined to each other without deteriorating the properties of these chips owing to the high temperature applied thereon.
Abstract: An air vent plug for clean container is disclosed, which includes a mounting ring, a plug body, and a plug cap, the plug cap having an inner ring fitted into the plug body, retaining notches forced into engagement with respective hooks of the plug body, an outer ring fitted over the outer surface of the mounting ring, and top hooks extended from the outer ring and hooked on respective pegs at the outer surface of the mounting ring. An O-ring is mounted outside the plug body and stopped between a collar of the plug body and a bottom edge of the mounting ring for sealing. A filter is mounted inside the plug body to prevent contamination from air passing through the plug body and the air vent of the clean container.

Abstract: A parallelepiped lifting device mounted under a computer desk in a storage position is disclosed. Prior to using a computer, the device is activated by starting a motor in a clockwise rotation to lift an LCD of the computer from under the desk by means of a mechanism comprising chain wheels, bars, and adjusting screws. A lowering of the device into the desk is performed by starting the motor in a counterclockwise rotation by means of the same mechanism. The invention can save desk space for other purposes in the storage position.
Abstract: A scanning apparatus capable of automatically powering on is disclosed. The scanning apparatus includes a main body, a lid, a carriage inside the main body, and a scanner board. The lid is hinged to the main body. The scanner board includes a scanner frame and a glass plate mounted in the scanner frame and extending under the scanner frame. The scanner board further includes an opening on the scanner frame. The opening exposes the glass plate thereunder and the opening is substantially above the start point of the carriage. Therefore, the auto power on scanning apparatus has the advantage of preventing dust from dropping into the interior of the main body. Also, extra care and cost paid to the fragile projected pattern can be eliminated.
Abstract: An ink-jet printing module, positioned in an ink-jet printing mechanism, includes a first side, a second side opposite to the first side, a guiding bar between the first side and the second side, a print-head movable along the guiding bar, a cleaning device, a covering device, and a printing platform. The cleaning device for cleaning the print-head is adjacent to an interior of the first side. The covering device for covering the print-head is adjacent to an interior of the second side. The printing platform is located at the bottom of the ink-jet printing module and between the cleaning device and the covering device.

The ceiling fan outer casing is fixed on the support of the motor through mounting members, the mounting members comprising a pair of convex fixing members and a pair of concave fixing members corresponding to and matched in use with said convex fixing members, on each of said convex fixing members is provided a pair of protruding elements transversely spaced and arranged in parallel, the upper end of said two protruding elements is each provided at one outward side with a hook respectively, on each of said concave fixing members is provided a receiving groove which has one end opening and is inverted “Y” in shape receiving said convex fixing members, the two opposite sides of one end of said receiving groove are provided respectively with recessed portions matched with said hooks.
