Abstract: A rotary switch containing fuse capabilities. An electrical contact disc is rotatively mounted in a housing. A handle assembly is mounted to the electrical contact disc and rotates therewith, and is replaceably mounted in the housing so as to allow the handle assembly to be removed from the housing and prevent inadvertent operation of the rotary switch. A pin extends in the handle assembly and a fuse retainer and engages a horse shoe clip, and in doing so, axially movably attaches the fuse retainer to a fuse-holding disc. The pin then extends in a bushing. A pair of blind slots in the pin engage a hair pin clip, and in so doing, the handle assembly can rotate relative to, but cannot be removed from, the housing, unless the pin is rotated 90 degrees, which would orientate the pair of through slots out of engagement with the hair pin clip.

Abstract: A device for attaching at least one flower pot to a tree trunk. At least one flower pot holder holds the at least one flower pot, respectively. A strap engages the at least one flower pot holder and attaches the at least one flower pot holder to the tree trunk. A skirt is an elongated sheet of material that engages the at least one flower pot holder and wraps around the tree trunk. Each flower pot holder is a continuous rod bent into a vertical portion and a horizontal portion. The vertical portion is U-shaped and abuts against the tree trunk. The horizontal portion has a neck that extends perpendicularly outwardly and continuously from the vertical portion and a head that is ring-shaped and extends coplanarly outwardly and continuously from, and is wider than, the neck and holds one flower pot.

Abstract: A radiation detector that utilizes an unregulated power supply as opposed to a regulated power supply, since quantitative results are not required, only an audible signal, and an unregulated power supply is less expensive than that of a regulated power supply. The radiation detector includes a Geiger-muller tube, a nine volt DC power supply, a solid state oscillator with an output of 2 kilohertz, a high voltage power supply, and an audio amplifier.

Abstract: A system component, method of using, manufacturing and installing such, which facilities both the aerating of compost and the draining of liquid formed therein, utilizing a Especially formed component having an extruded longitudinal projection with a surface in which holes may be formed therein after embedding, in a concrete floor, with the surface and holes substantially level in the concrete floor so that fluids may readily either enter or exit through the holes in the component. When connected to an appropriate collection of peripheral supporting equipment, accordingly a set of such components can be utilized to create an efficient composting facility which permits fluids, typically air, to be easily forced into or out from compost residing thereon and excess effluent, typically liquid, which may be contained within the composting material to easily drain therefrom.

Abstract: A practice device for enhancing strike ability of a boxer that includes a support, a tethered ball suspended from the support, and a deflector operatively connected to the support. The support includes a rigid sheet of material and four flexible lengths of cord nonrestrainingly suspending the sheet of material horizontally from an overhead. The tethered ball is suspended from the sheet of material. The deflector is disposed on one edge of the sheet of material and is wedge-shaped so as to allow the ball to deflect thereoff in a random pattern when stroked by the boxer. The deflector is a equilaterally-triangular-shaped sheet bent acutely, along its altitude, into a pair of panels. Each panel has a slot slid onto one edge of the sheet of material, with the apex of the sheet facing the center of the sheet of material.

Abstract: A device that trains a martial artist to kick. The device includes a stand and a target. The target extends adjustably outwardly from the stand and is kicked by the martial artist to train the martial artist to kick. The stand includes a base and a post with a lower end having a mortise therein. The base is T-shaped and includes a pair of separate members. Each member has a tongue. The tongues are abutted against each other and received in the mortise in the post, and in so doing, the pair of separate members are held together in the post and the post extends upwardly from the base. The target includes a collar that replaceably encircles the post and has at least one coil spring extending radially outwardly from respective sides thereof that engages a cushion to be kicked by the martial artist.

The adapter portion is initially in an extended position where its rearwardmost end closes a fluid-entering throughslot in a leading portion of the shaft to prevent air intake therethrough and eddy currents produced thereby that effect flight of the arrow, but upon, and by, impact in the game, the adapter portion is moved to a retracted position where its rearwardmost end is moved rearwardly allowing the fluid-entering throughslot to communicate with a pin-riding/fluid entering throughslot in the adapter portion and provide an entrance for fluid from game to enter, then run through a fluid-carrying conduit in the adapter portion, and then out of a fluid-exiting throughbore in the leading portion of the shaft so as to make a quicker and ethical kill of the game and provide a trail to follow to locate the game.

Abstract: A coaxial speaker system that includes an acoustic bass resonator, a lower speaker case that extends from the acoustic bass resonator, an upper speaker case that extends from the lower speaker case, and a coaxial speaker that interfaces with both the lower and upper speakers cases. The acoustic bass resonator and the lower and upper speaker cases are each tubular. The acoustic bass resonator has a pair of ports that extend therethrough. The lower speaker case has a pair of bass ports that extend through diametrically opposite sides thereof, a first diffuser panel that extends coaxially therein, and a second diffuser panel that extends coaxially therein, perpendicular to the first diffuser panel. The upper speaker case has a port that extends therethrough and is generally parabolic-shaped, and a high frequency deflector panel that is generally parabolic-shaped, extends skewly rearwardly therein, and cooperates with the port therein.

Abstract: A vented toilet plunger that includes a cup and a handle. The cup has a vent valve assembly that extends through a high point of the cup. The vent valve assembly is a check valve that contains a ball that normally allows communication through the check valve. The ball of the check valve is of a weight that is not overcome by air, but is overcome by water, so as to allow communication through the check valve when the cup is first put into the water so as to allow the air trapped in the cup to be vented out, but once the air is vented out, the water fills the cup and moves the ball of the check valve to block communication through the check valve so as not to allow the water to pass therethrough.

Abstract: An improved shuck for drying a paintbrush of the type having a back panel, a bottom panel, a front panel, a pair of side panels, and a pair of front flaps together defining a chamber having an open top, and a fastener. The improvement includes each of the back panel, the front panel, the pair of side panels, and the pair of front flaps having an air-permeable screen mesh portion for facilitating the drying of the paintbrush. The improvement further includes a top flap having a top portion selectively closing the open top of the chamber and a front portion. The improvement further includes the fastener being a snap having a male portion extending from the front portion of the top flap and a female portion extending from the front panel and selectively engaging the male portion of the snap.

Abstract: A lift assisting device and a stabilizing device for a bather and a showerer, respectively. The device includes a rope and a plurality of rungs. The rope is suspended from a ceiling. The plurality of rungs are operatively connected to the rope for grasping by the bather to assist in lifting and the showerer for stabilizing. The plurality of rungs are molded around the rope so as to form an integral unit therewith. The rope is one-piece for integrity and passes through the plurality of rungs to define a path that is double-helix-like that prevents the bather and the showerer from falling if one of the plurality of rungs fails since double lengths of the rope pass through each of the plurality of rungs.

Abstract: A kneeless kicking tool for stretching a carpet. A base rests on the carpet. A head is attached to the base and engages and stretches the carpet when an apparatus for propelling the head is activated. The apparatus includes a pair of rods that extend across the base and a ram. The ram has a body that slides on the pair of rods. When the ram is slid forwardly on the pair of rods and impacts upon the base, the head is caused to move forward and stretch the carpet. The ram further has a handle that extends from the body thereof and is grabbed by the hand of a user and used to slide the ram forwardly, and a weight that extends upwardly from the body thereof and which increases the impact of the ram on the base when the ram is slid forwardly on the pair of rods.

Abstract: A book shelf support for standing on a floor and unattachably abutting against a wall. The book shelf support includes a pair of uprights and a pair of criss-cross braces. The pair of uprights stand on the floor and unattachably abut against the wall. The pair of criss-cross braces attach the pair of uprights to each other. Each upright of the pair of uprights has a lowermost end that extends inwardly away from the wall and downwardly onto the floor, and as a result thereof, allows the support to stand on the floor and unattachably abut against the wall. Each brace of the pair of criss-cross braces includes two pieces that telescope relative to each other so as to allow for length adjustment and relative orientation of the pair of criss-cross braces.

Abstract: A self-contained device using a single telephone line to receive telephone calls and facsimilies while being simultaneously connectable to the Internet, which provides an all-in-one solution for multiple devices present and operating on a single standard telephone line. The benefits include the ability to receive calls and faxes, whether online or not online and to remain online if already on line. Additionally, the present invention switches between voice and fax calls, automatically and without any intervention from the user. To achieve the combined functions, the present invention integrates a micro-processor which coordinates general functionality. Tone detection circuitry, which provides extremely narrow and selective detection range and detects the appropriate tones. Care is taken to assure a narrow enough detector design which will not false alarm or detect such sound as modem noise, which includes a fax tone and a call waiting tone.

Abstract: An improved trap for a mouse of the type having a baseboard, a U-shaped jaw member that is pivotally mounted on the baseboard for pivotal movement from a cocked position to a sprung position, a bait pedal that is attached to the baseboard, and a trigger mechanism that has a longitudinal axis and which is operatively attached to the bait pedal and when the U-shaped jaw member is in the cocked position thereof the trigger mechanism is operatively connected to the U-shaped jaw member. The improvement includes the trigger mechanism allowing the U-shaped jaw member to achieve the sprung position thereof only when the trigger mechanism is rotated about the longitudinal axis thereof.

Abstract: A decorative light strip that self-attaches to a rain gutter or a roof overhang and which includes a body that is self-attached to the rain gutter or the roof overhang, at least one incandescent lamp socket operatively connected to the body, and an electrical line cord electrically communicating the at least one incandescent lamp socket with a power source. The body is a foam tube that is flexible, compressible, slender, and elongated, and has a split extending longitudinally along the length thereof and which receivingly engages, so as to self-attach the foam tube of the body to, the rain gutter or the roof overhang. The at least one incandescent lamp socket extends laterally in the foam tube of the body. The electrical line cord extends longitudinally in the foam tube of the body. The foam tube of the body is either continuous or discontinuous.

The housing has a plurality of drawers for storing different pills. The dial includes an axle that is rotatably mounted along the top of the housing, a pair of end caps that are disposed over the pair of ends of the axle, respectively, quantity indica disposed in line along the axle and aligned with the drawers, respectively, and time indica that are disposed on the longitudinal side wall of each end cap and aligned with the quantity indica associated with that time so as the dial is rotated to the specific time indica, the quantity india in line therewith indicates quantity of the pills to be taken from the drawers aligned therewith.

Abstract: A self-closing cap for a bottle that includes a fixed portion that engages the neck of the bottle, a movable portion that is movably attached to the fixed portion, and apparatus that movably attaches the movable portion to the fixed portion.
