Abstract: When securing eyelashes to a user's eyelid the procedure is greatly simplified and facilitated if the beautician applying the eyelash has both hands free when applying adhesive glue to an eyelash and then placing the eyelash on the user's eyelid. Rather than having an eyelash holder platform of eyelashes standing free on a work table the task is greatly simplified and made much easier if the eyelash holder platform is kept handy and easily accessible to the beautician by temporarily attaching the eyelash holder platform to the back of the beauticians hand. Accordingly an apparatus for securing an eyelash holder platform to a back of a beautician's hand which has a finger ring, which is removably attachable to an eyelash holder platform, and is to be worn on a beautician's finger so as to maintain the location of the platform in the proximity of the back of the beautician's hand.

Abstract: A high security mail box which comprises an elongated housing having a front wall, a rear opening and a chamber therein to receive and store incoming mail items. A facility in the elongated housing, is for depositing the incoming mail items within the chamber by a mail person. An access door is hinged to the rear opening of the elongated housing, wherein the access door will move between an open position and a closed position. A mechanism operatively associated with the access door, is for locking the access door in the closed position. An authorized person can disengage the locking mechanism to move the access door from the closed position to the open position, so that the authorized person can remove the incoming mail items from the chamber of the elongated housing.

Abstract: A holster for attaching to an leg of a user and holding a hammer in a position which provides complete freedom of movement of hands and feet of the user and which permits the user to remove the hammer with the same hand employed to use the hammer. The holster is made from a rod-like, slender, and elongated material, and includes an attaching portion attaching to the leg of a user and a holding portion extending from the attaching portion and cradling the head of the hammer therein, with the handle of the hammer extending upwardly therefrom, with the claw of the hammer extending replaceably through one side of the holding portion, and with the bell/poll of the hammer extending replaceably through the other side of the holding portion.

Abstract: A hydrofoil unit for attaching to the stern of the hull of a boat. The unit includes a mount that mounts to the stern of the hull of the boat, a hydrofoil that is pivotally attached to the mount, a pivot assembly that pivotally attaches the hydrofoil to the mount, and apparatus for pivoting the hydrofoil relative to the mount. In one embodiment, the apparatus is automatic and includes an hydraulic cylinder that is pivotally attached to the transom of the boat and a strut that is pivotally attached to the hydraulic cylinder and the hydrofoil. In another embodiment, the apparatus is manual and includes an upper threaded rod that is pivotally attaching to the transom of the boat, a turnbuckle that is attached to the upper threaded rod, and a lower threaded rod that is attached to the turnbuckle and the hydrofoil.

Abstract: A shade for preventing rain from entering an open double hung window of any width. A pair of side panels extend rearwardly from opposite ends of a front panel so as to form an assembly for attaching to the double hung window by an apparatus. Each side panel is right triangular-shaped. The front panel is length adjustable by being a pair of telescoping panels. The apparatus includes hook and loop fasteners, a magnetic tape, or a channel affixed to the double hung window receiving a depending lip of the front panel.

Abstract: A device for preventing unintentional removal of a guitar strap from a guitar strap peg. The device includes a body for positioning on the guitar strap peg, outboard of the guitar strap. The body is disk-shaped and has a periphery, a throughbore extending centrally therethrough, and a throughslot communicating with the throughbore therein and the periphery thereof, and is for allowing the neck of the guitar strap peg to slide therein, and into the throughbore, and when therein, one surface of the body is wedged against the head of the guitar strap peg, and an opposing surface of the body wedges the guitar strap against the guitar, and when doing so, prevents the slot in the guitar strap from escaping past the head of the guitar strap peg, and in doing so, prevents the guitar strap from being unintentionally removed from the guitar strap peg.

Abstract: A hand ratchet quick release brake pad spreader tool that is a hand tool for spreading a disc brake pad connected to a piston in a caliper housing, thereby compressing the piston into the caliper housing. The hand tool consists of a shaft having a ram affixed onto a front end that slidably extends through a central aperture in a frame member and a central through bore in a backing plate that is mounted to a forward end of the frame member. A trigger handle is pivotally affixed to the frame member adjacent to a depending fixed handle on the frame member. A mechanism is for moving the shaft forwards when the trigger handle is squeezed towards the fixed handle by a hand of a person. A mechanism is for holding the shaft stationary thereby preventing the shaft from moving backwards when the trigger handle is released.

Abstract: An improved laryngoscope of the type having a stationary handle, a stationary blade affixed to the stationary handle, a tip pivotally attached to the stationary blade, a movable handle pivotally attached to the stationary blade, and an arm pivoting the tip downwardly when the movable handle is moved towards the stationary handle depressing the epiglottis. The improvement includes a movable blade pivotally attached to the stationary blade and affixed to the movable handle so as to allow the movable blade to pivot away from the stationary blade when the movable handle is moved towards the stationary handle and spread the posterior tissue defining the superior opening of the larynx away from the epiglottis simultaneously as the tip depresses the epiglottis and both thereby opening up the trachea exposing the larynx, and a lock locking the movable blade in a desired positioned by locking the movable handle affixed thereto.

Abstract: A bib for catching waste, food and/or liquids which comprises a panel sized to cover and protect the chest of a person. A structure on an upper portion of the panel is for suspending the panel from a neck of a person. A bowl is integrally formed onto a lower portion of the panel, wherein the bowl will catch the food and liquids that spill onto the panel.

Abstract: Joints for constructing a shear wall. The joints include a least an intermediate base joint, and a combination ceiling and floor joint. Each joint includes a bracket, a track wall, an optional base late, a stud, and at least two diagonal braces. The bracket is integrally formed with the shear wall, attached the shear wall to a substrate and prevents uplift of the shear wall. The bracket includes a base from which a pair of side walls upwardly extend. The track wall includes a base from which a pair of side walls upwardly extend, functions as sole and top plates, and sits attachingly in the bracket. The stud extends attachingly from the bracket. The optional base plate, when present, sits attachingly in the bracket and distributes load of the stud. The at least two diagonal braces extend attachingly diagonally outwardly from the pair of side walls of the bracket, respectively.

A follower wheel traverses a cam as the cam rotates with the crankshaft, and in doing so, causes a combustion chamber valve to open and close access of an intake port in the block and an exhaust port in the block to a combustion chamber in the block so as to allow the engine to achieve each of a power stroke thereof, a exhaust stroke thereof, a intake stroke thereof, and a compression stroke thereof.
