Abstract: A hybrid alfalfa variety designated HybriForce®-420/Wet and deposited as ATCC Accession Number PTA-5858. Also disclosed is a hybrid alfalfa plant or part thereof derived from the seed deposited as ATCC Accession Number PTA-5858. This variety also has an increased level of tolerance to saline soils within dormant alfalfa.
Abstract: MRAM noise stabilizing and reducing apparatus and methods for MRAM sensing operations injects noise generated by activation of a word line (80, 82, 84, 86) into a sense line (128) and a reference line (130). Sense strings (20, 22, 24, 26) addressed by the word line (80, 82, 84, 86) are alternately coupled to the sense line (128) and the reference line (130). Cross coupling reduces the noise injected on the sense lines (128, 130). Cross coupling also balances the noise created by activation of the word line (80, 82, 84, 86) between the sense line (128) and reference line (130). A sense string (20, 22, 24, 26) not addressed by the word line (80, 82, 84, 86) provides a reference signal. A differential amplifier (132) includes circuitry to compare and store a difference between the sense line (128) and the reference line (130). The stored value can be further compared to a second value obtained by reversing the current on the word line (80, 82, 84, 86).
Abstract: A lighter includes a casing with liquid gas received therein and an igniting member is located in the casing for igniting the gas released from a light hole in a top of the casing. An activation piece is pivotably connected between two walls of the casing and a cap is connected to the activation piece and engaged between the two walls of the top of the casing. A stop is located at an edge of the cap and contacts an edge of the casing to prevent the cap from being pushed before it is slid to skip the stop from the edge of the casing.
Abstract: A wrench comprises a handle and a head extended from the handle. A web is defined between the handle and the head. The head includes a compartment in which a drive member is rotatably received. The web includes a transverse through-hole having an intermediate portion communicated with the compartment. A cavity is defined in the web and communicated with the transverse through-hole. A switch member is mounted in the cavity and rotatable relative to the handle between two positions corresponding to two opposite ratcheting directions of the handle. A pawl is slidably mounted in the transverse through-hole for engaging with the drive member. The pawl remains in the transverse through-hole during operation.
Abstract: A surface dresser for removing contaminants includes a body assembly with a stationary seat and an adjustable assembly with a dressing wheel. The adjustable assembly is rotatably mounted on an outer periphery of the stationary seat. Two pairs of pin holes are defined in the stationary seat, and a flexible pin with two short ends is movably mounted in each pair of pin holes. A latch is slidably attached on the outer periphery of the stationary seat and has two clamping holes and two detents corresponding to two adjacent pin holes. When the adjustable assembly is rotated relative to the body assembly by a specific angle, the flexible pins selectively engage the clamping holes and the detents in the latch to lock the adjustable assembly. Consequently, the angle of the dressing wheel is adjustable to accommodate various requirements.
Abstract: A locking device has a base, a positioning element, a positioning frame, a cable and a lock assembly. The base has a positioning tab and a squeezing device. The positioning element is attached to the bottom of the base configured for the base being attached to an object. The positioning frame is pivotally attached to the base and has a telescopic body. The cable is moveably received in the base and has one end extending out from the base and provided by a hook to connect to the positioning frame. The lock assembly is mounted in the base and detachably locks the cable. Accordingly, a PDA and a charging base can be securely held on the base with the positioning frame and the cable. This can keep the PDA and the charging base from being unauthorizedly moved.
Abstract: A ratchet wrench and lighting circuit arrangement includes a ratchet wrench, the ratchet wrench having a hollow ratchet driving member mounted in a box at one end thereof, a holder shell fitted into the ratchet driving member and detachably secured thereto by a screw joint, and a lighting circuit assembly installed in the holder shell and controlled to emit light through a lens at a bottom side of the ratchet driving member.
Abstract: Apparatus (10) for recovering fumes from a roofing kettle (12) includes a fan (72) for drawing air from the hollow interior of a housing (20). A conduit (34) extends through the housing front wall (22) and terminates in the hollow interior. A burner assembly (44) is disposed within the conduit (34) for providing a flame within the conduit (34). The housing side wall (30) includes a fresh air intake (78). A flexible metal hose (80) extends between the outer free end of the conduit (34) and the roofing kettle (12). Rotation of the fan (72) causes air to be drawn from the interior of the housing (20) and in turn through the fresh air intake (78), through the conduit (34) and the hose (80) from the interior of the kettle (12), and through the duct (46) and tube (58) of the burner assembly (44).
