  • Patent number: 6552991
Abstract: In a micro mirror apparatus pivoting on a hinge part as its axis, a movable part connected to a stationary part through the hinge part enhances exclusively the flexural rigidity of the hinge part without causing any significant change in the torsional rigidity of the hinge part and thus widens servo band. To this end, on at least a part of the hinge part 14, a protrusion 14b protruding in the direction of its thickness is formed. This greatly increases the flexural rigidity of the hinge part 14 and widens the servo band.

  • Patent number: 6551764
Abstract: When selectively exposing a resist layer with vacuum ultraviolet rays for patterning into a predetermined shape, the present invention utilizes a polymer material constituting the resist layer and having at least one alicycle which is a saturated n-member ring (n is a number of carbon atoms constituting the ring and is an even number) and a fluorine substitution group in at least two carbon atoms constituting the alicycle and arranged alternately. Thus, by improving the light transmission ratio of the resist layer in the vacuum ultraviolet ray wavelength region, it becomes possible to perform a super-fine processing which cannot be obtained in the conventional method.

  • Patent number: 6543209
Abstract: A pharmaceutical product package employs a clear plastic member that includes at least one cavity within which one or more pharmaceutical products may be located. The cavity is preferably centrally located within the boundaries of the overall package in a lower portion thereof. The clear plastic member preferably includes one or more additional elongated structural protrusions that extend outward in the same direction as the cavity for housing the pharmaceutical products. These elongated structural protrusions are formed lengthwise parallel to and near the edges of the package. The pharmaceutical package of the present invention also desirably includes a central void or opening in the clear plastic material which is preferably located above the cavity for the solid pharmaceutical. The void provides location for receiving a hook or other protruding member for hanging the product package on the hook or other protruding member.

  • Patent number: 6318423
Abstract: A plug neck for a filler neck of a motor vehicle has exchanging means for refueling-venting adaptation to different refueling devices. In the case of a refueling device which removes gases from a refueling channel by suction, a compensation chamber is connected permanently to the refueling channel via a connecting channel. For adaptation to a refueling device without suction removal, the connecting channel is closed and the vent valve is provided with a cap which has a connection neck for a line leading to an activated carbon filter. This allows tool costs for producing the plug neck to be kept particularly low.
