Abstract: The present invention provides a canvass accessory device or “PC Saddlebag” that fits over the top of the computer tower and drapes down both sides of the tower. Both sides of the saddlebag have an inner and an outer side panels with pocket assemblies forming storage compartments for retaining a number of CDs in each assembly. The inner panels are integral with a top panel placed over the computer tower. The outer panels are integral with the bottom edge of the inner panels and fold upward to fasten at the top panel with fasteners in a closed configuration or vertical storage position. In the vertical storage position the outer panels can have exterior satchels and pouches accessible for document and disk storage.
Abstract: The present invention includes a floor mounted toilet with a mechanical lift device comprising an adjustable linkage assembly connected between a foot pedal and a torque arm of a torque rod. The torque rod is affixed to the toilet seat to rotate the toilet seat. Applying a pedal force raises the toilet seat to a raised seat angle. A floor mounted base member rotationally supports the foot pedal and rigidly supports a vertical member carrying a pivot plate of the linkage assembly to rotate about a pivotal axis. The initial force to raise the toilet seat is adjusted by changing the first length of an upper rod of the linkage assembly. The raised seat angle is adjusted by the second length of a lower rod of the linkage assembly. The first and second lengths are adjusted by providing length adjusting devices, such as a turnbuckle.
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring the depth of tread on a tire being buffed includes a sensing device, for example, a magnetic sensor, mounted to a reciprocating motion carrier. The carrier is driven by a drive wheel that is in contact with the tire being buffed. The carrier is movably mounted to float over the surface of the tire, that is, accommodate variations in the tire surface, with a guide wheel following the tire surface to maintain the sensor at a constant distance from the tire surface. The sensor on the carrier reciprocally traverses the crown of the tire as the tire rotates to obtain actual values for the thickness of the rubber above the belts over the whole surface of the crown.

Abstract: The run-flat tire (10) of this invention includes spaced apart bead areas (30) having a unique design to include first (34) and second (36) bead fillers adjacent a bead core (32). The second bead filler (36) is bounded by the first bead filler (34) and bead core (32). The method for manufacturing the tire to eliminate voids at the bead core (32) of the cured tire is also provided. The bead fillers are made to be resilient so that the tire can be easily mounted on a rim, particularly improving the ability to mount a run-flat tire (10) on a rim (80). The bead core (32) and fillers (34, 36) are designed for helping to sustain the run-flat tire (10) on the rim (80) with a loss of inflation pressure and to improve the running performance of the tire.

Abstract: A mold for a tire includes a device for easily releasing a pocket plate from a recess in a side wall ring. The device includes a rod movably disposed in a hole in the mold part that extends from an outer surface to adjacent the recess. The distal end of the rod includes a cam surface wherein movement of the rod causes the cam to press on the pocket plate to urge it from the recess.
