Abstract: A drum is provided for building of a tire. The drum includes a central sh supporting two plates mounted axially and sliding thereon and a plurality of rods are articulably mounted on each plate. The rods of each plate are covered by a sleeve and a membrane is connected to each of the sleeves. A mantle covers the assembly to provide a surface on which the tire is progressively constructed. A process for assembling a tire with the drum is also disclosed.

Abstract: A hair appliance providing a naturally, secure, comfortable hair supplement for enhancing the cosmetic appearance of an individual having a head net with a fitted band, surrounding tracks and vertical spacers. Hair, natural or artificial, is carried by at least the surrounding tracks and blends with the natural hair of the wearer. The head net construction allows the personal hair of the wearer to be pulled through the hair opening defined by the fitted band and tracks so the personal hair of the wearer and the appliance hair is blended together to provide a naturally appearing, secure, comfortable appearance. The hair appliance can also provide bangs when a front bang section is included. Additionally, the appliance hair can terminate at a variable length or at generally the same length.
Abstract: The run-flat tire has a tread for contacting a ground surface and a belt package with belt plies interior to the tread for support of the tread. A plurality of radially reinforced carcass layers are positioned interior to the belt plies and include at least one carcass layer that extends between spaced apart annular beads. The tire has a pair of sidewalls each extending radially inward from shoulders at lateral edges of the belt package to the annular beads. The sidewalls have a plurality of sidewall stiffening members to support the tire during a loss of inflation pressure. The carcass layers are disposed with the sidewall stiffening members to help support the run-flat tire with a loss of inflation pressure.

Abstract: The boring machine is disclosed which includes a power and control unit having a power source which uses a large electrical motor, a large hydraulic pump and a torque convertor connected to a speed reducer which controls the speed and torque provided to the auger and cutting head. A second small electrical motor and small hydraulic pump are used to power two hydraulic cylinders for pushing the string of pipe casings into the bored hole using a master pusher. A structural protector frame provides safety protection for an operator seated within the power and control unit. A control console is used by the operator for operating and controlling the boring machine and the direction of the string of pipe casings in the bored hole. Steering and pipe control cables extend into the bored hole from a wire spool mounted on the front of the power and control unit. A generator power by a diesel engine located outside the pit area provides electrical power for the electrical motors.
