Abstract: A triple axle suspension for use in a vehicle having a front axle, a medium axle and a rear axle mounted in triple axle relationship. It makes use of rigid beams to support the axles. It also makes use of equalizers to interconnect the beams, and it is devised in such a manner that one end of each beam is free to slide within the adjacent supporting structure. This suspension is very simple in structure and very efficient to equalize the load of any axle over all the axles of the triple axle suspension. When the axles are motorized, the suspension is also efficient to balance the pulls exerted by the wheels supported by the axles.
Abstract: A machine for cutting pavement, street curbs, bridge components, or sidewalks. The cutting apparatus is mounted on a truck body for transport and can be extended from the truck and supported directly on the ground for cutting. The cutting apparatus includes a rotary saw mounted on rails for mobility in all directions at different angles. The rails are supported on the ground by extendable supports, and the supports can be adjusted to allow the saw to b used on uneven ground.
Abstract: A device for moving forward in an easy and efficient manner, articles such as canned goods, that are placed on a store shelf in order to facilitate their frontal display. The device makes use of positioning rods that are installed on the shelf so as to extend in parallel relationship with respect to the edge of the shelf. Two parallel side rails act as a support for the articles. These side rails extend on both sides of a central rail supporting a puller member and a backstop assembly. The side rails and the central rail are perpendicular to the edge of the shelf and are detachably fastened to the positioning rods, preferably by snapping. As a result, one may easily adjust their spacing as a function of the size of the articles. The backstop assembly is located at the back end of the puller member. It extends vertically and moves the articles closer to the front of the shelf when the puller member is pulled forward.
Abstract: A sleigh-shaped device, having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, for use in a mining raise. The sleigh-shaped device has a base frame for sliding along the mining raise in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis, the base frame having a bottom surface with sliding runners extending parallel to the longitudinal axis, and a top surface having front and rear opposite ends. The device also has a tiltable platform pivotally mounted to the top surface of the base frame between the front and rear ends about a first axis parallel to the transverse axis, and platform adjusters cooperating with the base frame and the tiltable platform for adjusting the tiltable platform with respect to the base frame. The device further has connecters for anchoring the base frame to a pulley system to provide movement of the sleigh-shaped device along the mining raise, the front and of the base frame extending below the rear end of the same during movement of the sleigh-shaped device along the mining raise.
Abstract: Disclosed is a fluid vehicle having one or more vertical wings in contact with the fluid for generating a forward motion. This fluid vehicle also has a stabilizing torque system for generating jets transverse to the forward motion for the purpose of counterbalancing any capsizing effect. Preferably, the system is devised to generate up and down jets to the opposite ends of at least one horizontal wing.
Abstract: A stackable insulating foam panel which has a top side and a bottom side. Each of the panels has a median row of alternating projections and recesses with a similar complementary shape. The median row is disposed between two coplanar edge surfaces. Each projection of the top side is opposed to a recess of the bottom side whereby the top side and/or the bottom side of the panel can be interconnected with either the top side or the bottom side of a like panel. The present invention also concerns a wall form assembly which comprises opposed foam panels disposed in parallel relationship to make a wall form for receiving a flowable material such as concrete and a plurality of connectors for tying the opposed foam panels together.
Abstract: A sealing sheet for use to close in a reversible manner a plurality of individual pill containers formed in a plastic sheet. The sealing sheet has a top layer, an adhesive layer and a peelable backing. The top layer and the adhesive layer are made of paper. The adhesive layer has a plurality of spaced apart holes punched therein, which are surrounded by adhesive layer bands having an upper surface that is covered with an upper layer of pressure sensitive adhesive glue and is attached by this glue to the top layer, and a lower surface covered with a lower layer of removable re-positionable pressure sensitive adhesive glue. The peelable backing also has a plurality of spaced apart holes that are positioned, shaped and sized to be in exact superimposition below the holes of the pressure sensitive adhesive glue layer.
