Abstract: An anti-skid brake control system is designed to periodically generate short commands ordering an APPLICATION mode operation to increase braking pressure while the system operates in a RELEASE mode. An anti-skid control signal is then monitored to make a judgement that failure occurs in the anti-skid brake control system when the control signal is not periodically switched from RELEASE mode to APPLICATION mode.
Abstract: The invention relates to new compounds corresponding to formula I: ##STR1## in which: W represents C=O, CH.sub.2 or CHOH,Z represents ##STR2## R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represent especially Cl or F, R, R' and R" represent especially H,X represents especially CH.sub.2,Y represents especially COOH,u and v are two integers ranging from 0 to 10,p and q take the value 0 or 1,n and m are two integers ranging 0 to 10 andt is 0 or 1the total number of carbon atoms in the chain ##STR3## ranging from 2 to 20, and to their physiologically acceptable salts obtained with organic or inorganic acids. These compounds are useful for preparing medicinal products which have, especially, anti-inflammatory properties.

Abstract: A process is described for separating barium from barium-containing, water-soluble strontium salts by means of an alkali metal sulfate. The process can be carried out either batch-wise or continuously and enables readily controlled production of strontium salts which are especially low in barium content.
Abstract: Herein disclosed is a weather strip constructed of a rubber composition. The rubber composition comprises a mixture of 70 to 50 parts by weight of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and 30 to 50 parts by weight of polyvinylchloride, the acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber including not greater than 28 percent by weight of acrylonitrile; 10 to 40 parts by weight of dioctyl adipate relative to 100 parts by weight of the mixture; and not less than 0.1 part by weight of glycerin fatty acid ester, the glycerin fatty acid ester having a melting point not less than 45.degree. C.
Abstract: An image processor of this invention includes a designating unit for designating a prescribed region of a manuscript, a setting unit for setting an image formation magnification/reduction rate (or image modification rate) for the prescribed region designated by the designating unit, a first image forming unit for forming a manuscript image at a portion corresponding to the prescribed region designated by the designating unit on an image forming media in accordance with the image formation magnification/reduction rate (modification rate) set by the setting unit, and a second image forming unit for forming a manuscript image in a one-to-one correspondence with a manuscript image at a portion corresponding to a region other than the prescribed region designated by the designating unit on the image forming media.
Abstract: The use of valepotriate hydrins in the prevention and treatment of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract is described, together with pharmaceutical compositions containing valepotriate hydrins and certain novel valepotriate hydrins per se.

Abstract: A powdered composition for dental impressions, comprising a water-soluble alginate, a gelling agent, a gelling regulator and fillers coated with a hydrolyzed gelatin.
Abstract: An automatic original feeding apparatus comprises a feeding unit for feeding an original to an original table, and a main unit for setting the original in a predetermined position on the original table and discharging the original from the table. The main unit includes first and second conveyor belts disposed along the direction of sheet transportation and capable of transporting the sheet independently and reversely. A turning mechanism for turning over the sheet is disposed between the first and second conveyor belts.
Abstract: To prevent a rear seat back from being removed from a rear parcel shelf from the passenger compartment side but allow it to be removed therefrom only when the trunk room is opened (the above function is effective to prevent baggages placed in the trunk room from being stolen from the passenger compartment side), a rear seat back monitoring structure comprises a U-shaped wire attached to the upper reverse surface of the rear seat back and inserted into a trunk room through a hole formed in the rear parcel shelf; and a wire engage member engageable with an end of the U-shaped wire from the trunk room side and formed with a portion whose dimension is larger than a diameter of the hole.
Abstract: To maximize the areas of a vanity mirror and an illumination lid and to allow the illumination lid to be adjustably pivoted to obtain a desirable illumination angle, a vanity mirror is attached to a bottom surface of a square recess formed in the sun visor body, and an illumination lid provided with a lamp is slidably fitted to and moved away from the square recess to expose the vanity mirror.
Abstract: An electrostatic air filtration system of the charged media type wherein contact between the filter media and the electrostatic charging media of the filter is minimized or eliminated to increase the efficiency of the filter. The fibrous filter media is either corrugated to minimize its contact with the charging media or separated from the charging media by nonconductive spacers. This dramatically increases the efficiency of the filter by reducing the voltage drop on the charged media caused by conduction across a filter medium in close contact with both a charged and a grounded medium.
