  • Patent number: 8290502
Abstract: Provided is a sequence allocation method capable of reducing inter-cell interference of a reference signal when a ZC sequence is used as the reference signal in a mobile communication system. In the sequence allocation method divides R×M sequences specified by a ZC sequence number r (r=1 to R) and a cyclic shift sequence number m (m=1 to M) into a plurality of sequence groups X (X=1 to R) in accordance with the transmission band width of the reference signal, so that the ZC sequence is allocated to each cell in each sequence group unit. When it is assumed that R=9 and M=6, the number of sequence is 54. Each of the sequence groups is formed by two sequences. Accordingly, the number of sequence groups is 27. The 27 types of sequence groups are allocated to each cell.

  • Patent number: 8290070
Abstract: A method for loading bits over a set of subcarriers of a multiple-carrier communications system comprises the operation of associating with the subcarriers respective numbers of bits chosen from among a plurality of available constellations. The method envisages definition of a performance target for the system and execution of bit loading, guaranteeing the aforesaid target on a plurality of subcarriers. The performance target can be a target error rate, such as a bit-error rate (BER), or else be transferred into a constraint, such as, for example, a threshold, in a metric of log-likelihood ratios (LLRs). In this case, there is preferably envisaged application to the signals received within the multiple-carrier system a function that estimates a signal to noise ratio on each sub-carrier. The aforesaid metric of log-likelihood ratios (LLRs) is hence defined as a function of said signal to noise ratios.

  • Patent number: 8289066
Abstract: An analog switch configuration includes a gate control circuit coupled between an input of a switch and a gate of the switch. The gate control circuit passes voltage changes on the input of the switch to the gate of the switch to decrease the influence the inherent gate to input capacitance has on the bandwidth of the switch. By reducing the change in voltage across the inherent capacitance, the current through the capacitance in decreased as well as its influence on the bandwidth of the configuration.
