Abstract: A steering control section has a first steering angle correction amount calculating section, a second steering angle correction amount calculating section, and a motor rotational angle calculating section. The first correction amount calculating section calculates a first correction amount based on a vehicle speed and an actual steering wheel angle. The second correction amount calculating section calculates a second correction amount through multiplying a control gain corresponding to the vehicle speed with a value calculated by low-pass filtering a differential value of steering wheel angle. The motor rotational angle calculating section calculates a motor rotational angle corresponding to the value adding the first and second steering angle correction amount, and outputs it to a motor driving section so as to drive an electric motor for correcting the steering angle. Thereby, an unstable vehicle behavior due to a resonance of a yaw motion caused in the steering operation can be suppressed.

A processing system 2, which takes out a process object W from a storage box 6 for process object, and thermally process the process object, includes: a vertical processing unit 24; a process-object transport area 10 disposed below the processing unit; a plurality of process-object boats 20 configured to hold the process objects; a boat elevating means 68 configured to vertically move the process-object boat 20; a boat table for transport 52, on which the process-object boat can be placed; and a transport arm mechanism configured to transport the process objects between the storage box 6 and the process-object boat 20 placed on the boat table for transport 52. Abstract: A pressure-resistant container has a peripheral part of an inner shell opening attached to a mouth ring end surface inside of the container to cover the mouth ring. The pressure-resistant container has a cylindrical pressing member screwed into an inner peripheral surface of the mouth ring, an inner peripheral surface of the mouth ring extends between the inner shell and the pressing member, a first seal peripherally contacts the inner shell and the pressing member, a valve having a screw part screws into the mouth ring more outside of the container than the pressing member and an inner end part which is inserted in the hole part of the pressing member and a second seal to seal between an outer peripheral surface of the inner end part and an inner peripheral surface of the pressing member. Abstract: An object detecting system includes stereo-image taking means for outputting a reference image and a comparative image, stereo matching means for performing stereo matching, object detecting means for detecting an object in the reference image, estimated-region setting means for setting estimated regions of the object in the current frame in the reference image and the comparative image, on the basis of a distance of the object in the reference image in the previous frame, and determination means for correlating information about the object detected in the estimated region of the reference image or information that the object is not detected with information that noise is included, when an absolute value of a difference between average luminances of the estimated regions is more than or equal to a predetermined threshold value.
Abstract: Modern exhaust-gas purification systems in motor vehicles with a lean-burn engine include a starting catalyst fitted close to the engine and a main catalyst arranged in the underbody region, with both the starting catalyst and the main catalyst being formed by nitrogen oxide storage catalysts. The nitrogen oxide storage catalysts are in each case regenerated by the engine being briefly switched from lean-burn mode to rich-burn mode when the nitrogen oxide concentration in the exhaust gas downstream of the storage catalysts rises above a predetermined value. The starting catalyst is exposed to particularly high temperatures and is therefore prone to faster ageing of its nitrogen oxide storage capacity than the main catalyst.

Abstract: A catalytically active diesel particulate filter with ammonia trap action is presented, which, in addition to an oxidation-active coating (2), comprises a coating (1) which is catalytically active in the SCR reaction. By means of this inventive diesel particulate filter, it is possible to make exhaust gas aftertreatment systems for removing nitrogen oxides and particulates from the exhaust gas of lean engines considerably simpler and less expensive.

Abstract: A multilayered circuit board of the present invention has a single-side laminated structure and does not include a core substrate having via-holes formed therethrough and vias for providing electrical connection through the via-holes. The multilayered circuit board includes a plurality of pairs of layers, each pair including a conductor circuit layer and an insulator layer, wherein a glass transition temperature of each insulator layer is 170° C. or higher, a coefficient of thermal expansion at the glass transition temperature or lower of each insulator layer is 35 ppm or less, and a modulus of elasticity of each insulator layer is 5 GPa or more.
Abstract: There is decribed an apparatus for generating a number from data originating from an analogue source, the apparatus comprising means for performing a set of the data and then processing, in accordance with stored processing instructions predetermined by a training process, the data to generate the number. During the training process, the sensitivity of the value of the generated number to variation in each of the measurement values is analyzed, and the process instructions are generated so that the processing of individual measurement values is modified to reduce this sensitivity. In this way, the repeatability of the generated number is improved.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to avoid unnecessary accumulation of a correction value during feedback control, even when a secondary pressure control valve enters a state of failure. A continuously variable transmission comprises a primary pulley supplied with a primary pressure that has been adjusted via a primary pressure control valve, a secondary pulley supplied with a secondary pressure that has been adjusted via the secondary pressure control valve, and a drive belt wound around the two pulleys. When a failure such as a disconnection occurs in the secondary pressure control valve, a lower limit value Imin of a target gear ratio is raised to a low side by a CVT control unit, and a setting region of the target gear ratio is set in a low region in which control is possible even during a failure. In so doing, divergence between the target gear ratio and an actual gear ratio can be avoided, and therefore unnecessary accumulation of the correction value during feedback control can be avoided.

Abstract: A method to form a an LD with the buried mesa type is disclosed, in which the n-type current blocking layer is stably kept with a distance to the active layer in the buried mesa. The method of the invention includes a step to form the mesa by iterating the RIE and the ashing to obtain in a mesa side a steep edge with the (110) surface. A wet-etching process subsequent to the iterative etching and ashing removes residuals left on the mesa side. Then, the growth of the current blocking layer shows two modes of the horizontal growth of the (110) surface and the vertical growth of the (001) surface comparably.
Abstract: The disclosure provides methods of treating cognitive disorders by administering a HMG CoA reductase inhibitor.
