  • Patent number: 6387045
Abstract: An endoscope in which the advantage of a pinch valve is used, and the flow rate of fluid can be regulated variably. In an electromagnetic valve unit for carrying out the opening/closing control of pipes in the endoscope, a pinch valve is disposed in a water feed pipe, and a diaphragm valve is disposed in an air feed pipe. Also, for ease of draining work, an air feed pipe is connected to the water feed pipe, an auxiliary valve consisting of a diaphragm valve is disposed, and a check valve is installed. Further, for example, three control pipes with different diameters and three electromagnetic valves for opening/closing these control pipes are provided in each pipe. By carrying out the opening/closing control of these electromagnetic valves by using an operation switch, the flow rate in each pipe in the endoscope is regulated variably.

  • Patent number: 6386808
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a structure of an internal thread portion for preventing looseness which structure allows a reduction in the torque required for the threaded engagement with an external-thread member and prevents a seizure. An exit end portion of a self-locking nut is taperingly contracted over the entire circumference thereof so as to form a contracted internal thread portion having a conical section. In addition, ridges of the contracted internal thread portion are provided with corrugation continuing circumferentially. The diameter of an inscribed circle which links the extremities of projections in the corrugation is smaller than the minor diameter of the external-thread member which is to be engaged threadedly with the internal thread portion.

  • Patent number: 6387046
Abstract: When a variable powers witch of an electroscope is operated, a motor is driven to move a movable lens, and an optically enlarged image can be obtained. Furthermore, the optical image is electrically enlarged by an electronically variable power circuit. When the optically variable power is switched into the electronically variable power and vice versa, the operation of the variable power switch can be temporarily nullified to stop the variable power operation, and the switch is operated again to resume the operation. Thus, an operator can recognize the switch between the optically variable power and the electronically variable power. Furthermore, a time lag for a predetermined time can be set to switch between the optically variable power and the electronically variable power.

  • Patent number: 6384976
Abstract: In an image stabilizing apparatus in which an actuator for a pivoting gimbal suspension is controlled by a feedback loop, the gain of feedback loop based on the angular position is enhanced when the angular velocity is at a first set value or higher until the angular velocity becomes a second set value or lower, whereby a panning mode is automatically attained when a pan/tilt operation is carried out. Also the gain of feedback loop based on the angular position is enhanced when the angular velocity is enhanced until a lapse of a predetermined time after starting the pivoting control of the gimbal suspension, whereby the behavior of gimbal suspension is stabilized.

  • Patent number: 6383073
Abstract: A gaming machine displays a plurality of rows of symbols in moving and stopped states at an image display section formed in a front panel. If big winning symbols to be displayed in a stopped state are not attained as the result of determination (S4), then random number sampling for deciding whether or not to execute an image action is carried out (S6). According to the result of this sampling, whether or not to execute the image action is determined (S7). If it is determined to execute the image action, then an operation for randomly blinking tricolor-emitting LEDs is carried out at step 8 (S8). The LED display when executing the image action may be at a low luminance, as long as a player can guess, by seeing the blinking of tricolor-emitting LEDs, that a certain phenomenon relating to big winning might be occurring. The blinking pattern of the tricolor-emitting LEDs is constituted by randomly repeating their color changes.

  • Patent number: 6383131
Abstract: In an objective optical system of a stereoscopic endoscope, a pair of positive lenses are disposed downstream a pair of negative lenses for the right and left eyes at the leading end of the scope so as to respectively correspond thereto, whereby aberrations generated by the pair of negative lenses are corrected favorably. Successively from the object side, a negative lens pair 1, a positive lens pair 2, and a positive lens group 3 are disposed, whereby an incident luminous flux from the object side is caused to form an image on an imaging surface 6 of a CCD. The image-surface-side planar surfaces of the lenses L2 in the second lens pair 2 are respectively formed with stops 5 which are attached thereto or deposited thereon.

  • Patent number: 6377626
Abstract: The motion data preparation system provides a motion data preparation system which can acquire stable motion data by detecting color markers without being affected by the surrounding brightness, and which is enabled to execute high-speed, accurate processing by reducing the amount of information on color image data. Color representations of about 16770 thousands of colors for a 24-bit input image are integrated and divided for each color camera, and outputted as 256 kinds of color group signals by look-up table memory circuits 125, 126. Thus, the amount of information is consolidated to about 1/60000, allowing a simple, fast calculation to be realized. Further, the color representation is, separated into luminance (Y) and chroma, for example, red color difference (R-Y) and blue color difference (B-Y), and the chromatic component is corrected by luminance. As a result, errors due to effects of variations in illumination conditions and the like can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6369946
Abstract: In an image stabilizing apparatus in which inner and outer gimbals are pivoted about two pivotal axes so as to fix an erect prism with respect to an inertial system, a torsion coil spring 240 is disposed to provide one-side stressing between the inner and outer gimbals 7, 107, so as to pivotally stress the inner gimbal 7 with respect to the outer gimbal 107 in one direction. When image stabilizing control is started, the elastic force of the torsion coil spring 240 instantly changes the angular position of the inner gimbal 7, so that a capacitor is charged earlier, thereby enhancing the response in PWM control.
