Abstract: In a color separating optical system, a first filter adapted to eliminate from light emitted from a red light exit face a light component in a wavelength range longer than a longer-wavelength-side boundary wavelength of a red visible light wavelength region is disposed at a prism surface in an optical path for guiding red region light, whereas a second filter adapted to reflect a light component in a wavelength range longer than a reference wavelength which is longer than the longer-wavelength-side boundary wavelength by a predetermined wavelength but transmit therethrough a light component in a wavelength region shorter than the reference wavelength is placed at the red light exit face.
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a holographic notch filter which can favorably reject and remove a narrow, desired range of wavelengths of the incident light and a method of easily manufacturing the holographic notch filter. For achievement of the above object of the present invention, a multi-structure holographic notch filter 2 having a holographic recording material 4 arranged on which modulations of the refractive index are recorded by two-beam interference is provided as characterized in that a thin-film filter element 6 is fabricated from a thin form of the holographic recording material 4 in which modulations of the refractive index are recorded by the two-beam interference and a plurality of the thin-film filter elements 6 are joined together to develop a layer arrangement.
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a film composition which is solidified in water of which a painted film is rapidly solidified and also has proper usabilities for use as a manicure. To accomplish the object a film composition of the present invention comprises water insoluble film materials, and a solvent which dissolves the water insoluble film materials and soluble with water, wherein the solvent contains specified alkylene glycol ethers and ketones, and characterized by that the film materials are precipitated from the mixture of the remaining solvent and penetrating water in a painted film of the composition when the painted film is dipped in water.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a plasminogen activator inhibitor, an external preparation for skin comprising the same, a method for improving rough skin and in particular, for improvement of an effective inorganic component. A plasminogen activator inhibitor contains a specific zinc oxide which adsorbs a plasminogen activator and effectively inhibits its activity. When it is used as an external preparation for skin, excellent improvement of rough skin is obtainable. Further, when silica-coated zinc oxide is applied as an external preparation for skin, excellent improvement effect and prevention effect for rough skin are obtainable without an intolerance sensitivity reaction in the case of morbid dermatitis such as atopic dermatitis or pimpled skin.
Abstract: A projection type image display apparatus comprises a variable stop mechanism adapted to regulate the size of effective luminous flux diameter at a predetermined position in the optical path from an illumination optical system to a projection lens system, and image mode switching means for controlling operations of the variable stop mechanism. Respective image modes suitable for viewing in bright and dark surrounding environments are selected by switching between greater and smaller effective luminous flux diameters.
Abstract: Clamping mechanism of spectacle lens is provided, which does not involve any complications in assembly, but allows the spectacle lens to be held in place with facility and renders the spectacles smart and shapely in design. A pair of glasses or a lens is stably and accurately supported in front of the eyes by poking the projections provided to either the front bar or the rim frame to support the same through at least two points of the same for clamping. The facility of clamping the lens or lenses allows the labor for the assembly of the spectacles to be lightened as well as the production cost thereof to be reduced, which facility also renders the spectacles as assembled smart and shapely in design, so that its industrial applicability is very high.

The first lens L1 is a biconcave lens having a surface with a stronger curvature directed onto the object side. Each of the second lens L2 and third lens L3 is a biconvex lens having a surface with a stronger curvature directed onto the imaging surface side, while the second lens L2 and third lens L3 have the same form. As the second lens L2 and third lens L3 have the same form, the cost of manufacturing the imaging lens can be reduced, though being constituted by three sheets of lenses.

The three-dimensional form information of the object is captured by a measurement head 12 having a function as a grating projection type moire device.
Abstract: In an apparatus using an AC lighting lamp including a reflector and a condensing lens as a condensing unit and using a CCD to pick up an image of a subject irradiated with a light from the lamp, an entrance facet of a light guide is arranged between two condensing points G1 and G2 and at a position that is not close to either of the condensing points, particularly at an intermediate position therebetween so that lights from a bright spot g1 or g2 at a tip of a first or second electrode, respectively, of the lamp are condensed at the corresponding condensing point by the condensing unit. Thereby, although an amount of emission slightly decreases compared to the case where the entrance facet is arranged on the basis of the bright spot, emission with a reduced variation in luminance is obtained to enable photographing with a substantially uniform amount of exposure, while preventing possible flickers.

The wedge portion (12) is between the rim edge and the tire bead (TB) and the tire bead fold-back portion (11), and is arranged above the turntable such that it moves up and down. A thrusting rod (4) having a claw (41) provided at its tip end portion is operated when the said wedge portion (12) is shoved between the tire bead (TB) and the rim edge (WR) of the wheel. The claw (41) is shoved between the tire bead and the rim edge. A part of the tire bead is squeezed out of the wheel by the claw onto the bead fold back portion (11). The turntable is revolved so as to smoothly detach the whole circumference of the tire bead (TB) from the rim edge of the tire (W).
