Abstract: A channel quality signaling method and a telecommunication system are provided. The system comprises a base station and one or more user equipment, the base station and the user equipment being configured to communicate with each other using a set of given resources. The system comprises a network element for determining connection information comprising the resources to which the channel quality signaling relates, the user equipment capability, and reference information regarding transmission power used by the base station, a network element for determining connection quality criteria. User equipment is configured to measure a parameter relating to the quality of the received signal from a signal received from a base station, determine an identification of physical connection parameters with which the connection quality criteria may be fulfilled given the determined connection information, and transmit the determined identification to the base station.

Abstract: An apparatus is capable of charging a battery mounted aboard a robot while avoiding an unstable posture of the robot caused by a power feeding connector coming into contact to a power receiving connector of the robot. A battery charger of the present invention performs control to move the power feeding connecter to connect with the power receiving connector of the robot in a standing posture, so that a moment generated about a target zero moment point (ZMP) of the robot falls within a range of the moment of floor reaction force generatable about the target ZMP.
Abstract: A tool for removing islands from a stent is disclosed. The tool includes a tube with at least one exit hole in communication with the center of the tube, and the tube being connected to a pressurized fluid source. A stent island is located over the exit hole and is removed by the force of the exiting fluid from the exit hole.
Abstract: In a gas turbine engine control system having a first valve for regulating the flow rate of fuel in premixed combustion and a second valve for regulating that in diffusion combustion, when the combustion mode is switched from one mode to the other mode, whichever of the first and second valves is associated with the other combustion mew is opened to supply the amount of fuel required for conducting the other combustion mode and, the opening of the valve associated with the one combustion mode is gradually decreased, while that of the other combustion mode is gradually increased, thereby maintaining the total amount of fuel supplied to the engine constant, after elapse of a predetermined period. At the time of switching the combustion mode, therefore, the total amount of fuel supplied to the engine can be accurately controlled to a desired value to minimize engine speed fluctuation.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for providing tactile sensations. For one embodiment a first frequency at which to output a tactile sensation is received. A second frequency higher than the first frequency is determined. The second frequency is based on a frequency at which an inertial actuator outputs a second tactile sensation. A waveform having the first frequency and a waveform having the second frequency is combined to produce a signal configured to cause a composite tactile sensation at the second frequency, the composite tactile sensation conveying the first frequency.

Abstract: The invention provides a system, method, network elements, and computer program products, for providing a supplementary service such as an advice of charge, AoC, service requested by a user equipment at a session set-up or during a session of a communication service. For setting up a session of the communication service, a signalling message may be transmitted or received which signalling message comprises a request for a supplementary service and an indication on whether the session setup is to be suspended until said supplementary service has been provided. When detecting that said setting up the session of the communication service is to be suspended until said supplementary service has been provided, the session setup is suspended until after the requested supplementary service has been provided. The setting up of the session is resumed after determining that said supplementary service has been provided.
Abstract: A process for preparing a crystalline rapamycin analog includes: combining the rapamycin analog with an organic medium to form a mixture; incubating the mixture until the rapamycin analog crystallizes; and recovering the crystalline rapamycin analog. The organic medium can be a solvent, and the process can include causing the rapamycin analog to dissolve into the solvent, and incubating the solvent until the rapamycin analog crystallizes. The following can also be performed: forming a slurry of crystalline rapamycin analog; stirring the rapamycin analog mixture until the rapamycin analog crystallizes; saturating the rapamycin analog solution; forming a supersaturated rapamycin analog solution; combining an antisolvent with the rapamycin analog and the solvent to form a biphasic mixture, and incubating the biphasic mixture to cause a liquid-liquid phase split.

Abstract: A system that provides programming language translation includes a first compiler that compiles a source file in a first programming language into a parsed representation of the first programming language, and a transformation component that receives the parsed representation and generates a token stream from the parsed representation. The token stream comprises second language tokens of a second programming language and at least one compilation phase of the first compiler is skipped. The system further includes a second compiler that compiles the token stream into an object code and skips at least one compilation phase of the second compiler. The transformation component provides the token stream to the second compiler in memory.
Abstract: An oscillating internally meshing planetary gear system is provided in order to improve basic performance and reduce cost at the same time. The oscillating internally meshing planetary gear system has an internal gear and external gears internally meshing with the internal gear and is configured such that one of the external gears and the internal gear is oscillatingly rotated by means of eccentric bodies formed in an input shaft (eccentric body shaft). The system includes: a sliding motion-facilitating member intervening between an outer periphery of the eccentric body and the oscillating gear; and an eccentric body shaft bearing supporting the eccentric body shaft. In addition to this, the eccentric body shaft bearing and the sliding motion-facilitating member have the same configuration.
Abstract: In a telecommunication system communication to and/or from a user equipment is carried on a user plane and messages supporting the communication are carried on a control plane. Information supporting provision of information about the location of the user equipment is also arranged to be carried on the user plane to and/or from the user equipment.
Abstract: An interface to radio-frequency identification (RFID) data provides RFID data in response to an event cycle specification received from an application. The interface is configured to receive the event cycle specification that identifies one or more RFID sources. The event cycle specification also includes a boundary specification that defines a boundary for an event cycle and a report specification that defines a requested output of a non-redundant RFID data. The interface to RFID data, in response to receiving the event cycle specification, provides an output of non-redundant RFID data conforming to the event cycle specification.
Abstract: In a gearbox including three or more shaft holes, a vibration suppressor is formed with the gearbox and extends from at least one of shaft hole in a radial direction of the shaft hole. The vibration suppressor ensures a width which is greater than or equal to one fourth of the shaft hole diameter of the shaft hole, and a height that is greater than or equal to one sixth of the shaft hole diameter at a highest portion of the bivration suppressor.
