  • Patent number: 7823388
Abstract: In a gas turbine engine control system having a first valve for regulating the flow rate of fuel in premixed combustion and a second valve for regulating that in diffusion combustion, when the combustion mode is switched from one mode to the other mode, whichever of the first and second valves is associated with the other combustion mew is opened to supply the amount of fuel required for conducting the other combustion mode and, the opening of the valve associated with the one combustion mode is gradually decreased, while that of the other combustion mode is gradually increased, thereby maintaining the total amount of fuel supplied to the engine constant, after elapse of a predetermined period. At the time of switching the combustion mode, therefore, the total amount of fuel supplied to the engine can be accurately controlled to a desired value to minimize engine speed fluctuation.

  • Patent number: 7821493
Abstract: Method and apparatus for providing tactile sensations. For one embodiment a first frequency at which to output a tactile sensation is received. A second frequency higher than the first frequency is determined. The second frequency is based on a frequency at which an inertial actuator outputs a second tactile sensation. A waveform having the first frequency and a waveform having the second frequency is combined to produce a signal configured to cause a composite tactile sensation at the second frequency, the composite tactile sensation conveying the first frequency.

  • Patent number: 7822838
Abstract: The invention provides a system, method, network elements, and computer program products, for providing a supplementary service such as an advice of charge, AoC, service requested by a user equipment at a session set-up or during a session of a communication service. For setting up a session of the communication service, a signalling message may be transmitted or received which signalling message comprises a request for a supplementary service and an indication on whether the session setup is to be suspended until said supplementary service has been provided. When detecting that said setting up the session of the communication service is to be suspended until said supplementary service has been provided, the session setup is suspended until after the requested supplementary service has been provided. The setting up of the session is resumed after determining that said supplementary service has been provided.

  • Patent number: 7820812
Abstract: A process for preparing a crystalline rapamycin analog includes: combining the rapamycin analog with an organic medium to form a mixture; incubating the mixture until the rapamycin analog crystallizes; and recovering the crystalline rapamycin analog. The organic medium can be a solvent, and the process can include causing the rapamycin analog to dissolve into the solvent, and incubating the solvent until the rapamycin analog crystallizes. The following can also be performed: forming a slurry of crystalline rapamycin analog; stirring the rapamycin analog mixture until the rapamycin analog crystallizes; saturating the rapamycin analog solution; forming a supersaturated rapamycin analog solution; combining an antisolvent with the rapamycin analog and the solvent to form a biphasic mixture, and incubating the biphasic mixture to cause a liquid-liquid phase split.

  • Patent number: 7823139
Abstract: A system that provides programming language translation includes a first compiler that compiles a source file in a first programming language into a parsed representation of the first programming language, and a transformation component that receives the parsed representation and generates a token stream from the parsed representation. The token stream comprises second language tokens of a second programming language and at least one compilation phase of the first compiler is skipped. The system further includes a second compiler that compiles the token stream into an object code and skips at least one compilation phase of the second compiler.
