Abstract: The screw, of the type provided with a coaxial recess adapted to mate with the tip of a screwing tool has in plan view a configuration in the overall form of a star with six chamfered points, with the lateral walls of the recess flared outwards and inclined to the screw axis by an angle of between 7 and 15 degrees. The sides of the chamfered points of the star consist of flat surfaces, pairs of which form on the lateral wall of the recess six corresponding ribs of isosceles triangle cross-section, the angle at the vertex of the isosceles triangle being substantially 90 degrees and the height of the triangle being substantially equal to one half the base length of said isosceles triangle. The screwing tool has a tip which mates with the lateral walls of the screw recess.
Abstract: Novel cytarabine derivatives of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, which can be identical or different, are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, aliphatic C.sub.2 -C.sub.5 -acyl, benzoyl or carboxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkylcarbonyl are described. The compounds are suitable for use directly or in the form of immunoliposomes for controlling diseases. Methods of preparing the novel cytarabine derivatives are also disclosed.
Abstract: A handle for a cooking utensil (1) with a lid (2), of the type including a fixed part (6) rigidly fixed to the lateral wall (17) of the utensil. To the fixed part (6) there is connected a part (8) movable between at least a closed position (C) in which a first portion (8D) of said movable part (8) is in contact with the lid (2) and a second portion (8B) of said movable part (8) is in contact with a first portion (6B) of the fixed part (6) such that on gripping the handle the lid remains fixed to the utensil, and an open position (A) in which the first portion does not interfere with the lid. The lid comprises a plurality of holes in at least one (P) of its parts.
Abstract: A stable solid controlled release formulation having a coating derived from an aqueous dispersion of a hydrophobic acrylic polymer includes a substrate including an active agent selected from the group consisting of a systemically active therapeutic agent, a locally active therapeutic agent, a disinfecting and sanitizing agent, a cleansing agent, a fragrance agent and a fertilizing agent, overcoated with an aqueous dispersion of the plasticized water-insoluble acrylic polymer. The formulation provides a stable dissolution of the active agent which is unchanged after exposure to accelerated storage conditions.

Abstract: A floating boat washing apparatus including a plurality of floats, at least two pair of rotating scrubbing brushes bearably carried and supported on support frames, a rotating bogie frame on which the support frames of the scrubbing brushes are bearably carried and a frame structure or comparable fixed construction on which the rotating bogie frame is mounted. Abstract: A press section of a paper machine, in particular for printing paper qualities whose grammage is in the range of about 40 g/m.sup.2 to about 80 g/m.sup.2 is disclosed. The press section comprises a pick-up roll having a suction zone on which a paper web is detached at a pick-up point from a forming wire and is passed on the pick-up felt into a first press nip in the press section. In the first press nip, the pick-up felt acts as a press fabric. The press section further includes an extended nip placed after the first press nip. Into this extended nip, the web is passed as a closed draw on support of a fabric face or roll face. The first nip in the press section is a roll nip with relatively low load and acts as a front nip. In the area of the first press nip, almost or approximately one half of the total amount of the water contained in the web entering into the front nip is removed from the web.
Abstract: The invention concerns an equipment and a method in vehicle alignment work. Between the alignment table (11) and the base frame (10), there are vertical guides (14;14a.sub.1 . . . 14a.sub.3), which are connected with the alignment table (11), on one hand, and with the base frame (10), on the other hand. The function of the guides is to guide the movements of raising and lowering of the alignment table (11). It is a further function of the vertical guides to support the alignment table (11) and to keep it at the desired locked working level. The solution of equipment comprises a base frame (10) in which there are detachable drive plates (C.sub.1 . . . C.sub.6), which can be lifted aside for the time of the alignment work.
Abstract: An arrangement for regulating fluid conditioning stations including a plurality of pumping devices, at least one fluid storage reservoir, at least one pressure transducer and regulating mechanism, the conditioning station providing a fluid at a certain pressure and flow for consumption. The pumping devices start and stop such that the pressure in the fluid storage reservoir or reservoirs is maintained between two limit values of pressure (the start pressure and the stop pressure). Only one pumping device is started when the pressure in the storage reservoir(s) reaches or exceeds the value of the start pressure or when the flow provided by the pumping devices in operation is less than the consumption flow. Only one pumping device is stopped when the pressure in the storage reservoir(s) reaches the value of the stop pressure or when the flow provided by the pumping devices in operation is greater than the consumption flow.
Abstract: A method for removing air from a suction roll/suction cylinder and a suction roll/suction cylinder including a roll mantle, end flanges connected to the roll mantle and axle journals for revolvingly supported the roll mantle. The mantle has numerous perforations, holes or equivalent openings passing therethrough. The suction roll/suction cylinder is connected to a suction duct that passes onto the interior of the roll/cylinder and transfers a vacuum force therein. Air is drawn or sucked through the perforations into the interior of the roll mantle so as to press a paper web toward an outer face of the roll mantle. The suction roll/suction cylinder has a system of suction pipes connected with the suction duct and including at least one suction pipe into which air is guided and/or sucked from the vicinity of the inner face of the roll mantle of the roll/cylinder.
Abstract: A hose capable of exhibiting increased flexibility and lubricity. The hose is made of soft synthetic resin containing a slidability providing silicone resin material. In particular, the slidability providing silicone resin material contained in a surface layer of the hose or ribs formed on a surface of the hose. In production of the hose, re-dispersion of the resin material and forcing of layers of the hose against each other are carried out. Alternatively, a layer containing the resin material and a layer free of the resin material are co-extruded.
Abstract: A device for alignment of a vehicle body and a method in the work of alignment of a vehicle body. The device includes an alignment table to which the vehicle is attached by skirt clamps, the vehicle being fixed from skirt plates to the skirt clamps and through the skirt clamps to the alignment table during alignment work. Each skirt clamp has a support arm which is positionable in relation to, and separated from, the skirt clamp and which support arm can be coupled with the skirt clamp by a fastening member. The support arm is also connected with the constructions of the vehicle directly or through intermediate parts such that damage to the skirt beam is prevented by the support arm during the alignment work as the support force of the support arm is received by the skirt clamps.
Abstract: A method in a paper machine or in a finishing device of a paper machine for collecting and removing dust and other particulate material separated from or in the vicinity of a web. Air that contains the dust is transferred by air blowings, specifically, a first air flow is directed from a first blow nozzle to flow in the cross direction of the machine from the tending side of the machine to the driving side. This first air flow carries the dust separated from the web or equivalent along with it. The dust-laden air flow is turned downwards by a second air flow being directed from a second blow nozzle to be drawn into a suction box.
Abstract: A spindle for gas bearing of a rapidly rotating tool, in particular for aerostatic bearing arrangement of an open-end spinning rotor, including a spindle housing, a rotatable elongate shaft supported in the spindle housing in a radial direction of the shaft by a radial gas bearing element and an elongate extension rod. The rotor is coupled to the extension rod at a first end thereof. An extension rod bearing element is arranged at a region proximate the first end of the extension rod at which the rotor is attached. A first bearing clearance is defined between the radial bearing element and the shaft and a second bearing clearance is defined between the extension rod and the extension rod bearing element which is at least twice the first bearing clearance.
Abstract: A method and device in the operation of a doctor blade in a paper machine/board machine in which different quantities of lubricating medium are supplied into different areas in the longitudinal direction, i.e., along the width, of the doctor blade, independent of one another. A larger amount of lubricating medium is supplied into the area having the maximum extent of wear of the doctor blade.
Abstract: A method and device for drying a paper web in a dryer section having a number of successive dryer groups with a single-wire draw, and being situated after a press section of the paper machine. Each dryer group includes contact-drying cylinders arranged in a first row and reversing suction cylinders or equivalent suction rolls arranged in a second row, the rows being horizontal, diagonal or vertical rows. The paper web is dried by contact-drying cylinders from the side of its lower face across the entire length of the dryer section. The paper web is passed as a closed draw from one dryer group to the next group, and the paper web is guided, while it runs on the drying wire at the side of the outside curve, by the reversing suction cylinders having a curve radius selected in a range from about 250 mm to about 1000 mm.
Abstract: A device for the attachment to a rod (1) of a member (24) such as a screw, a hook or the like, in particular for spinal instrumentation. The device interacts with a smooth rod (1) and comprises an intermediate socket in the shape of a split ring (22) engageable on said rod. A tightening means (23) is arranged on the ring (22) at the split therein so that when it is tightened, the rod (1) protrudes from the ring while engaging the bottom of a U-shaped body to which the member is secured, whereas the free ends of the ring flanges (221, 222) engage both the rod (1) and the body (21). The device is useful in the field of orthopaedic equipment fitted during spinal surgery.
Abstract: A modular plug and multi-pair cable assembly provides reduced near-end crosstalk between two signal pairs of the cable. A modular plug has a plurality of wire-receiving passages disposed in first and second planar arrays spaced one above the other, with the passages of one planar array being staggered in position with respect to the passages of the other planar array. An end of a first wire of each of two signal pairs is received in respective wire-receiving passages of the first planar array and an end of a second wire of the two signal pairs is received in respective wire-receiving passages of the second planar array. A first pair plane in which the wire ends of the first signal pair are situated intersects a second pair plane in which the wire ends of the second signal pair are situated. In this manner crosstalk between the two signal pairs resulting from magnetic and electric field coupling is reduced.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fluidized-bed reactor for polymerization of olefins, said reactor comprising an upper section of the reactor acting as a polymerization space in which olefin monomers are polymerized in a fluidized bed formed by polymerizing particles and a lower section of the reactor acting as a mixing space through which circulating gas removed from the top of the polymerization space is passed to the fluidized bed contained in the lower part of the polymerization space through a horizontal gas distributor plate in order to maintain the fluidized state of the bed, in which arrangement the circulating gas is passed to the lower section of the reactor via one or more inlet nozzles and the bottom section of the reactor is additionally provided with means for directing the circulating gas.
