Abstract: A pouch having a bottom wall secured to an adhesive layer that can be cut to fit around a wound or surgical opening, gusseted side walls, and a top wall provided with one or more access openings. An irrigation port and a catheter access port can be secured to these top wall openings. The bottom wall extends beyond the adhesive layer and is provided with a large exit port oriented so that gravity will drain wound exudate from the pouch. This exit port is also large enough to accommodate a hand to aid in locating the pouch on the body and permit access to the wound site without removing the pouch from the body.
Abstract: Medical grade pressure sensitive adhesive compositions comprising a homogeneous mixture of one or more polyisobutylenes or blends of one or more polyisobutylenes and butyl rubber, one or more styrene radial or block type copolymers, mineral oil, one or more water soluble hydrocolloid gums, and a tackifier. One or more water swellable cohesive strengthening agents, an antioxidant, and various other optional ingredients may be included within the adhesive composition.
Abstract: This invention is directed to an occlusive dressing useful for treating skin lesions and a granular material capable of interacting with wound exudate. Wounds emitting a large amount of fluid can be treated by first packing with the granular material and then covering the wound with the occlusive dressing.
Abstract: Compounds of the formula ##STR1## are disclosed. They possess angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity and diuretic activity and are therefore useful as antihypertensive agents.

Abstract: Intermediates of the formula ##STR1## are disclosed. These compounds are useful in preparing substituted peptide compounds which possess hypotensive and analgesic activity.
Abstract: Acyloxyketone substituted imino and amino acids of the formula ##STR1## are disclosed. These compounds are useful hypotensive agents due to their angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity.
Abstract: Hydroxy substituted peptide compounds of the formula ##STR1## are disclosed. These compounds are useful as hypotensive agents due to their angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity and depending upon the definition of X may also be useful as analgesics due to their enkephalinase inhibition activity.

Abstract: A drainage bag having one wall of substantially rigid liquid-impermeable material and a second wall of flexible liquid-impermeable material secured thereto to define a container. The rigid sheet has at least two apertures with an inlet fitting fixed to one and an outlet fitting fixed to the other. The bottom portion of the rigid sheet extends below the lower edge of the flexible wall to provide a drip tray.
