  • Patent number: 7185069
Abstract: A computer network server using HTTP (Web) server software combined with foreground view composer software, background view composer software, a view tile cache, view tile cache garbage collector software, and image files provides image view data to client workstations using graphical Web browsers to display the view of an image from the server. Problems with specialized client workstation image view software are eliminated by using the Internet and industry standards-based graphical Web browsers for the client software. Network and system performance problems that previously existed when accessing large image files from a network file server are eliminated by tiling the image view so that computation and transmission of the view data can be done in an incremental fashion. The view tiles are cached on the client workstation to further reduce network traffic. View tiles are cached on the server to reduce the amount of view tile computation and to increase responsiveness of the image view server.

  • Patent number: 7176264
Abstract: A process for manufacture of a dendritic polyether comprising a core, derived from a compound having two or more hydroxyl groups, and at least one branching generation being built up from at least one hydroxyoxetane having one oxetane group and at least one hydroxyl group is disclosed. The process comprises ring opening addition to said core and ring opening polymerization of said hydroxyoxetane. A mixture of the core compound and at least one cationic initiator is prepared and said hydroxyoxetane is fed to said mixture at a rate resulting in and/or maintaining a reaction temperature below onset at thermal degradation and in an amount resulting in at least one branching generation. The initiator is present in an amount of 0.1–0.5% by weight calculated on said core and said oxetane, preferably in an amount giving a ratio hydroxyl groups to initiator of between 1:0.01 and 1:0.05. Yielded dendritic polyether is sebsequently neutralised by addition of at least one alkaline compound and optionally purified.

  • Patent number: 7150134
Abstract: A thin decorative thermosetting laminate of postforming quality is glued to a longitudinal carrier to form a floor strip. The laminate has a thermosetting resin as well as hard particles impregnated therein to increase the abrasion resistance of the laminate. The carrier generally has a cross section of a dilatation, transition or a finishing profile, depending on the intended use of the floor strip. The floor strip has a tab portion on a surface that engages a channel on a floor tile or a reducer. The tab portion locks the floor strip into place and prevents movement of the floor tile or the reducer with respect to the floor strip.
