Patent number: 7139307Abstract: A despreader 106 (107) provides despread processing to baseband signals based on timing from a searcher 105 to obtain a baseband signal of path 1 (path 2). A complex correlation section 115 (116) provides complex correlation processing to the baseband signals from the despreader 106(107) (baseband signals, which are not yet multiplied by an inverse characteristic of a channel estimation value from a channel estimating section 108). A path combining section 117 combines the signals subjected to complex correlation processing by the complex correlation sections 115 and 116. A phase estimating section 118 estimates a phase rotation amount caused by a frequency offset using the signal combined by the path combining section 117.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2001Date of Patent: November 21, 2006Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial, Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hideyuki Takahashi

Patent number: 7139645Abstract: A device and process for aiding the driving of an aircraft running over the ground in an acceleration phase with a view to takeoff may include determining a current speed v0 of the aircraft and a value acc corresponding to a deceleration of the aircraft during emergency braking. A distance df to be traveled on the ground by the aircraft while stopping is calculated using the expression df=(v0)2/2 acc, and a stopping position of the aircraft is calculated from the distance df and a current position of the aircraft. Thereafter, the distance df and the stopping position are presented to a driver of the aircraft with the aid of an appropriate device.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2003Date of Patent: November 21, 2006Assignee: Airbus FranceInventors: Fabrice Villaume, Eric Godard, David Chabe

Patent number: 7133528Abstract: An electronic animal lure for generating an animal call pattern by combining actual stored analog animal sounds with a micro controller. The animal sounds are stored in an analog storage device. A micro controller selects and addresses one of the pre-stored sounds then generates the signals to cause the storage device to play back the sound. The micro controller then selects a period of time delay before selecting and addressing the next sound to be played. Both time delays and sound selections are accomplished by use of an algorithm stored in the micro controller. The algorithm uses an onboard timer counter to generate a random number that is placed in a software counter causing the software counter to cycle for a period of time, creating a constantly varying time period between animal calling sounds. The algorithm also uses the onboard timer counter to select one of the stored sounds.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2003Date of Patent: November 7, 2006Inventor: Dennis D. Stilwell

Patent number: 7133698Abstract: The fading correlation monitor 103 detects an angle spread of the communication terminal apparatus 200-1 and decides whether the angle spread has a larger or smaller relationship with a preset threshold value. When the estimated angle spread is smaller than the threshold value, the interference wave is suppressed by carrying out directive reception which is carried out by an AAA receiver 106 as well as performing directive transmission which is carried out in a transmitting circuit 122.While, when the estimated angle spread is larger than the predetermined value, the distortion of the signals due to the fading is compensated by carrying out diversity receiving which is carried out in a diversity receiver 107 as well as performing diversity transmission which is carried out in a diversity transmitter 123.On account of this, even when the fading correlation is small, it is possible to carry out a radio communication with a satisfactory communication quality.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2001Date of Patent: November 7, 2006Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kenichi Miyoshi, Mitsuru Uesugi

Patent number: 7133467Abstract: The number of spreading codes multiplexed in a received signal is detected, and switches 4 and 5 are switched to the RAKE demodulation section 2 side if the detected number of spreading codes is less than a predetermined threshold value, and to the JD demodulation section 3 side if greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold value. As a result, joint detection demodulation is used only when the number of multiplexed spreading codes is large—that is, when the number of users is large—and consequently power can be saved during demodulation.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2001Date of Patent: November 7, 2006Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Akihiko Nishio, Hideo Fujii, Masaki Hayashi
