  • Patent number: 7100363
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, with a first operating range as the lean operating range, to discharge the nitrogen oxide storage catalyst by means of an engine control device switching from the lean operating range to the rich operating range taking place. As claimed in the invention, the engine control device blocks switching into the lean operating range if the additional amount of fuel consumption for discharges in a certain, definable evaluation interval which extends over several lean operating phases is greater than or equal to the reduced amount of fuel consumption by lean operation in this monitoring interval.

  • Patent number: 7099197
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device may include: (1) a word line drive circuit, having a drive transistor disposed between a positive power supply and a word line, (2) a circuit for turning the drive transistor OFF after an output of the word line drive circuit reaches a high level, and (3) a word-line-voltage increasing circuit for increasing a voltage of the word line after the drive transistor turns OFF. The word-line-voltage increasing circuit includes a coupling capacitor, one end of which is connected to the word line, and a capacitor drive circuit, an output end of which is connected to the other end of the coupling capacitor. The capacitor drive circuit switches its output from a low level to a high level at a timing when the drive transistor is OFF.

  • Patent number: 7099694
Abstract: When a communication network is newly set up, the NET-ID assignment method investigates NET-IDs of adjacent base stations and then decides an appropriate NET-ID based on the investigation result. At this time, the decided NET-ID is updated in a NET-ID table stored in the base station.

  • Patent number: 7099256
Abstract: A bi-phase mark reproduction apparatus which reduces an error rate of demodulated data by half and improves demodulation ability of ATIP and an optical disk drive device are provided. The bi-phase mark reproduction apparatus includes a data conversion unit which takes out a synchronous code portion, a data portion and an error detection code portion from a bi-phase mark input signal by means of a data separating signal and demodulates data of the data portion and the error detection code portion. The data conversion unit includes a pattern retrieval unit which detects a predetermined error pattern contained in the data portion and a conversion table which decodes the error pattern in accordance with a replacement rule based on bi-phase mark modulation.

  • Patent number: 7090172
Abstract: A system and process for countering the vibrations induced in an aircraft by the windmilling of an engine fan may produce a first electric flight control command for a servocontrol to use in actuating a control surface of the aircraft. The servocontrol is slaved to the first electric flight control command, and the servocontrol's operation is limited to a reduced frequency band. Vibrations induced by the windmilling of the engine fan are monitored, and, when the monitored vibrations exceed a threshold, a second electric flight control command for application to the servocontrol is computed to oppose the induced vibrations. Also, the first and second electric flight control commands are summed to produce an overall control command for the control surface, and the servocontrol is temporarily slaved to the overall control command for operation in a widened frequency band.
