Abstract: An apparatus and method for assigning subchannels of a transmitter in a communication system. The method includes dividing an entire frequency band into m subcarrier groups; mapping each of the m subcarrier groups to a subcarrier group index, wherein a subchannel includes n subcarriers selected from each of the m subcarrier groups corresponding to a subcarrier group index sequence; determining that a first data is needed to transmit in a first timing point; and assigning a first subchannel in the first timing point using a first subcarrier group index sequence. The first subcarrier group index sequence is different from a second subcarrier group index sequence used for assigning a second subchannel in a second timing point.

Abstract: Disclosed is a way to solve a problem of an operation error, which may occur in transmitting a Binding Update (BU) or Registration ReQuest (RRQ) message for a mobile node to a home agent due to the fact that a PDSN supports a Proxy Mobile Internet Protocol (PMIP) for the mobile terminal and the corresponding mobile node supports a client mobile IP when there is the mobile node using the client mobile IP in a 3GPP2 mobile communication system supporting the PMIP, thereby enabling efficient communication.

Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting a downlink shared control channel including a control signal necessary for restoring a transmission data signal in a mobile communication system that transmits a data signal using multiple antennas. It is determined whether the transmission data signal is coded with two or more codewords before being transmitted. One of a first element index of a sub-codebook configured only with a one codeword-dedicated precoding in a precoding codebook and a second element index of a sub-codebook configured only with a more-than-two codeword-dedicated precoding is selected, according to the determination result. A control channel is generated by including the selected element index in the precoding information. The generated control channel is mapped to a particular resource block and the mapped control channel is transmitted to a particular reception apparatus.

A virtual keypad in a wheel shape is displayed on a display unit adjacent to the wheel input unit having a wheel, a selection, and navigation keys. The virtual wheel keypad includes a plurality of virtual keys disposed in the wheel rotation direction. A screen highlight and a cursor are displayed on the display unit. The screen highlight is located at a specific position on the virtual wheel keypad to select a virtual key, and the cursor indicates a character input position. If the wheel key rotates, the virtual wheel keypad rotates correspondingly and the screen highlight is located at a specific virtual key. A character allocated to the virtual key in the screen highlight is input by pressing the selection key or a navigation key, or by rotating the wheel key.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) signaling in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. A communication method of a Base Station (BS) includes transmitting a Fixed Allocation (FA) message containing bitmap index information for all Mobile Stations (MSs) allocated with fixed resources; and transmitting bitmap information indicating whether packets to be transmitted to the MSs are Retransmission (Rtx) packets or new packets. Accordingly, when HARQ is carried out using a fixed resource allocation scheme, a bitmap is used to indicate whether HARQ packets transmitted in a current frame are new packets or Rtx packets. Therefore, a receiving end can be prevented from incorrectly decoding the packets.

Abstract: An image stabilizer is provided, which compensates for an external turbulence caused by hand-shake by moving an imaging unit. The image stabilizer includes a first yoke, a second yoke, and a driving frame interposed between the first yoke and the second yoke and movable in a vertical direction, a horizontal direction, and a rotation direction with respect to an optical axis. The imaging unit is mounted in a center of the driving frame. The image stabilizer also includes a coil plate connected to a surface of the driving frame facing the first yoke and having a plurality of pattern coils arranged at locations corresponding to a plurality of magnets of the second yoke. Abstract: An apparatus and method for circuit mode resource allocation in a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) system is disclosed. The method includes generating a first resource allocation message which comprises currently used slot bitmap information with respect to a circuit mode region in a frame; allocating resources to one or more terminals with respect to currently unused slots in the circuit mode region according to the currently used slot bitmap information; and generating a second resource allocation message which comprises information relating to the resource allocation. Thus, the effective circuit mode resource allocation can be achieved without holes in the circuit mode, while maintaining backward compatibility with the existing standards.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for supporting a relay service in a multihop relay wireless communication system are provided. The method includes setting Tx/Rx mode switch region information of a Relay Station (RS). A signal is sent to a Mobile Station (MS) traveling in a service coverage during a first interval of a DownLink (DL) subframe according to resource allocation information. The mode switch region information and a signal are sent over a second interval of the DL subframe. Accordingly, the RS can communicate with a Base Station (BS) with accurate synchronization.
