Abstract: A mass flow meter device utilizing a housing having a wall portion forming a chamber with an entrance and exit for passing fluid through the same. A body is located within the chamber and is composed of a first conical portion, a second conical portion, and a cylindrical portion positioned intermediate the first and second conical portions. The body is held within the chamber in a standard or reverse direction. A first pressure probe or sensor measures the fluid pressure at the apex of the first conical portion while a second pressure probe or sensor obtains a second pressure measurement at the cylindrical portion of the body. The comparison of the first and second pressure measurements serves as an indication for the mass flow of fluid through the housing. The flow meter device may be adapted to existing fluid sources such as aerosol generators.
Abstract: A reflectometer device for determining the quality characteristics of an electronic chip mask blank utilizing a source of electromagnetic radiation in the extreme ultraviolet region. The source is passed to a monochrometer which includes a mirror, a rotatable grating, and an exit slit. The radiation travels to the mirror and is reflected to the grating which, in turn, provides a source of electromagnetic radiation which is essentially continuous and of a particular bandwidth. The grating is rotated to tune such source of electromagnetic radiation which is passed to the subject blank mask. Upon reflection from the mask, a detector determines the intensity of the reflected beam from the mask and translates such measurement into a determination of reflectivity.

A flexible shield encloses the envelope and is permeable in a controlled manner to the volatile scented material once the envelope has been shattered.
Abstract: A dental impression dam system utilizing an open tray forming a basin for dental impression material. The basin of the tray includes a gap at an extremity of the same. A flexible band of material bridges the gap of the tray basin and interacts with the dental material to form unit. The band adheres to the external wall portions of the tray when in place.
Abstract: A medicinal delivery system utilizing a gaseous propellant source. The system includes a nozzle having an entrance and exit for passing medicinal powder material threrethrough. A conduit is also utilized to direct gaseous propellant to a place adjacent the nozzle exit. A flow shaper produces a vortex stream of the gaseous propellant which mixes with the medicinal powder material exiting the nozzle. The medicinal powder, gaseous propellant, and air are mixed in a vessel chamber and forced from the vessel chamber through an exit for use as a homogeneous aerosol.
Abstract: A tackifier utilizing a synthetic polymer of polyacrylamide, polyacrylate, or a co-polymer of acrylamide or acrylate, combined with a natural organic material. A cross-linking agent is also employed to cross-link the synthetic polymer to the natural organic material.
Abstract: A fluid transfer apparatus having a lid portion, and outer bucket and an insert container, forming a double wall container for the receipt of transferred fluid, the apparatus utilizes a compressed air to operate a venturi pump to remove fluids, such as oils and greases, from sources, such as engines and transmissions, for delivery to the double wall container. Activation of the venturi pump seals the lid to the inner and outer containers during liquid transfer operations. Safety checks are provided to ensure leak resistance should the unit inadvertently tip over.
Abstract: A dental retractor system used to manipulate positioning of the cheeks and to control saliva flow. The system includes a handle connected to first and second legs that are extended from the handle in a fork or horseshoe configuration. A pair of flaps distend from the legs and are angularly arranged to lie adjacent inner cheeks of the patient with or without interaction with a dry angle.
Abstract: A system for inspecting lithography masks utilizing a laser source to produce a coherent electromagnetic radiation pulse. The pulse is passed to a target which creates a plasma resulting in an extreme ultraviolet (EUV) beam. The beam is condensed and passed through an aperture to define a cross-sectional area of the condensed EUV beam on a lithography mask. A transmission zone plate resolves the image reflected from the lithography mask and passes the image to a detector for analysis.

Abstract: A marker support for use on a ground surface utilizing a base member having a flexible body. The base member includes a first surface with a plurality of flaps which extend outwardly from the same. The second surface is intended to contact the ground. An upright member is positioned to extend outwardly from the first surface and includes an area for accommodating the plurality of flaps. The plurality of flaps are linked to the base member by an element located within the recess.
Abstract: A damper utilizing a frame having a base and a wall portion extending outwardly from the same. The wall portion supports a stepped edge which is positioned to at least partially circumvent and aperture formed by the frame. A plurality of flanges are positioned in overlying relationship and slidably move relative to one another by a mechanical mechanism. A plurality of flanges ride on a stepped edge portion to cause fanning of the flanges across the aperture to selectively occlude the aperture or a portion thereof.
Abstract: A grounding system for a fiberscope utilizing an electrically conductive braid surrounding at least a portion of a flexible hollow tube containing fiber optic bundles. The fiberscope also includes an electrically conductive member surrounding the bundle end. The system further possesses connections between the electrically conductive braid and the end member. An electrically conductive ferrule underlies and links the fiberscope housing and the electrically conductive braid. A conductor connects to the ferrule, extending to the exterior portion of the housing for accessibility to the user.
Abstract: A support device for an elongated weapon which is connectable to a belt. The support includes a housing having a bottom and a wall portion extending from the bottom along the dimension of elongation of the weapon. The wall portion forms an open chamber for accommodating the weapon and positioning the elongated weapon in an upright manner with the weapon resting on the bottom of the housing. A clamp releasably secures a portion of the elongated weapon in the upright manner, but is removed with a force applied outwardly from the housing. A slot is formed in the wall portion and extends along the majority of the dimension of elongation of the weapon.
Abstract: A vaginal muscle exercising device utilizing a garment having a base layer and an overlying second layer of material. An aperture through the second material is capable of supporting a projecting member such that the base of the member lies below the overlying layer and a protuberance extends upwardly. The projecting member is fastened to the garment to remain in such position. The garment is worn by a user and the protuberance is inserted into the vagina of a female subject for exercise.

Abstract: A compact stretcher usable to transport a body having a sheet with a first surface and a second opposite surface. The first surface of the sheet possesses sufficient area to underlie and support a body being transported. The peripheral edge between the first and second surfaces which serves as a place for location of handles. A flange having a pocket is connected to the sheet and is of sufficient size to accommodate the sheet in a rolled configuration.
