  • Patent number: 5031351
Abstract: A two piece slip-sinker for use on fishing lines comprises a two sectional sinker adapted to separate at a linear disposed, axial central opening to receive a fishing line. The two piece slip-sinker is maintained as a unitary sinker by means of an elastomeric O-ring engaging a circumferential periphery channel disposed in the outer surface of the assembled slip-sinker and orientated transverse to the axial through opening. The two piece slip-sinker contains internal engaging means for interlocking the interface surfaces of the two sections and prevent interface movement between the two sections while locked in place by the elastomeric O-ring.

  • Patent number: 5025063
Abstract: Heat cured, thermoset protective surface coating films applied to a substrate are produced preferably by a dual cure of a polymeric ionomeric binder comprising zinc modified carboxyl functional epoxy-ester polymers. The epoxy-ester polymer contains both carboxy and hydroxyl functionality and coreacts with a zinc salt selected from a zinc carbonate or an organic zinc salt having a pKa above about 3.0. Upon heat curing, the carboxyl and hydroxyl groups crosslink while the zinc forms a zinc cluster to produce a thermoset film.

  • Patent number: 5015687
Abstract: The pigmented paint coating composition is based on a cationic free polymeric binder comprising a cationic free, functional emulsion polymer and glycoluril where the emulsion polymer are adapted to coreact to form a thermoset paint film, and said polymeric binder is combined with a low-cation opacifying pigment. The process comprises copolymerizing ethylenically unsaturated monomers, including functional monomers but excluding amine monomers, in an aqueous polymerization medium, to produce the reactive emulsion polymer. The emulsion polymer and the glycoluril derivative are treated with ion-exchange step to produce the cation-free polymeric binder.

  • Patent number: 4993184
Abstract: A heart-shaped, free standing, living plant comprises at least two living plants, a left plant and a right plant, formed into opposed lobes forming the heart configuration. Each plant comprises a root end, an intermediate trunk section and a foliage end. The root ends are secured together and the intermediate trunk sections form the left lobe and right lobe respectively. The foliage ends extend laterally outwardly from the downwardly depending intermediate trunk sections to form a foliage midsection of the heart-shaped plant. A support means is provided during the initial growing period wherein the heart-shaped plant is permanently formed. Thereafter, the support means can be removed to form a free-standing, unsupported living plant.
