Abstract: A snow vehicle has a hull with a plurality of longitudinally extending bottom sliding surfaces adapted to independently contact the ground and each incorporating a control element to cause the vehicle to be steered as it is rotated about a longitudinal axis. The snow vehicle has an operator platform hull which will accommodate an operator seated on the snow vehicle when the snow vehicle is utilized as a sled and which will accommodate the feet of a rider when the snow vehicle is operated as a snow board.
Abstract: A novel filter assembly for a drainage system stormwater curb and gutter-type catch basin is provided with spaced-apart frame elements that are joined to and carry a singular mesh fabric filter element, the mesh fabric filter element advantageously additionally functioning to hingedly interconnect the filter assembly frame elements into a unitary structure.
Abstract: A V-type internal combustion engine having a pair of opposed piston cylinders positioned in the same transverse plane is provided with a pair of co-operating pistons that are connected to a singular crankshaft crankpin through a pair of co-operating connecting rods and combined sleeve-type bearings that each lie outside the piston cylinder transverse plane.
Abstract: A universal joint 10 for the extension of billiard cues. The joint comprises a joint element 12 generally tubular and adapted to hold at one end the front end of an extension and to receive at the other end the butt end of a billiard cue, and a generally tubular tightening element 14 adapted to lock the cue inside the joint element 12. The joint 10' is operative irrespective of the outer diameter of the butt terminal part of the cue received therein, by the combined action of slits 42, tapered portions 28, 38, 40 and resilience of the material of which the joint element 12 is made.
Abstract: A tanning cot assembly is provided with a portable and foldable rigid support frame, a human-body support surface carried by the support frame, a face-opening frame carried by the support surface and having an interior face-opening, and an adjustably positioned head support only partially filling but spanning the face-opening frame interior face-opening.
Abstract: A pilferproof or tamper resistant cover or lid for a container comprising a skirt having on its inner surface a circumferential nose for engaging a flange at an upper end of the container and a tear-off safety band having an inwardly inclined generally half tear-shaped cross-sectional form adapted to be snugly received in a groove of the container below the flange thereof.
Abstract: A gap-cutter tool assembly for machining a longitudinal gap in an installed boiler tube is provided with clamp elements that engage the interior surface of the installed boiler tube, a cutter head track that provides a straight line cutting path within the tube interior and in the presence of different tube interior diameters, and a cutter head that co-operates with the cutter head track and that has different elevational positions during the cutter head cutting and return strokes, and at the end of the cutter head return stroke.
Abstract: An improved reinforced friction material is comprised of a cured friction material mixture of friction particles, filler particles, and binder particles, and has a embedded honeycomb core reinforcement whose individual cells are filled with and bonded at the cell walls to the cured friction material mixture by a novel manufacturing method.

Abstract: Foodplant seed for planting in a foodplant field is comprised of a mixture of 97 to 99 parts by volume of a first seed for a foodplant that has been genetically modified to have a resistance to herbicide applied during emergent growth, and 1 to 3 parts by volume of a seed having an included phenotypical difference.
Abstract: A railroad trackwork intersection assembly such as a crossing intersection or a turnout intersection is provided with at least one flange-bearing frog subassembly which has railcar wheel flangeways of uniform depth throughout the frog planform that co-operate with trackwork traffic rails, with easer subassemblies that are positioned exterior to but abut the frog subassembly, that have sloping flange support surfaces, and that may be removed from or adjusted in the assembly without moving or adjusting either the frog subassembly or the co-operating trackwork traffic rails.
