  • Patent number: 4505522
Abstract: There is disclosed an infinite circuit using rolling bearings for providing the rectilinear motion. This circuit comprises: rolling elements consisting of rollers or balls; rolling bearings, constituted by the rolling elements, for providing the infinite rectilinear motion by endlessly circulating the rolling elements in an infinite circuit while keeping the direct contact relation with each other; rectilinear track and return passages; two direction reversing passages which connect both ends thereof. The direction reversing passage consists of two quarter-circular passages and an intermediate rectilinear passage provided therebetween. The cross section of each rolling element has the same diameter. In this invention, the traveling amount of each rolling element at each position in the infinite circuit can be made uniform, thereby minimizing the stick slip of the rolling elements while they are rolling in the circuit, so that it is possible to obtain the infinite circuit with less sliding resistance.

  • Patent number: 4505611
Abstract: An upholstery fixing device consists of a bracket having a holdfast suspended therefrom with bendable or flexible straps. In use the bracket is riveted to the back of a trim board, and the holdfast is pushed into an associated aperture of an inside panel of a car door. Then, the bendable straps can be yieldingly bent to automatically reduce any misalignment between a fixed bracket (and hence its holdfast) and an associated aperture of the inside panel of the car door, thus facilitating the fixing of the upholstery to the inside panel of the car door in exact registration.

  • Patent number: 4502088
Abstract: A line protector for a communications circuit provides overvoltage and overcurrent protection. The overvoltage protection is attained through an arrester that provides an arc gap from the line to ground. For overcurrent protection, a fusible element is melted by a heat coil causing the line to be directly grounded. A test terminal is in conductive connection with the line circuit and extends to a region in the housing wall wherein there is an aperture for receiving a test probe. The test terminal is in firm resilient engagement with a conductive component of the line circuit and the wall adjacent to the apertures whereby the test terminal is maintained in its desired position within the housing to avoid short circuits therein.

  • Patent number: 4495894
Abstract: Disclosed is a conveyor system for delivering feed to poultry cages which are organized in an oppositely facing, multi-level array. The system comprises a first endless conduit extending along an upper conduit run past an upper level of cages facing in a first direction, and extending along a lower conduit run past a lower level of cages facing in a second or opposite direction. A second endless conduit extends along an upper conduit run past an upper level of cages facing in that opposite direction, and extends along a lower conduit run past the lower level of cages facing in the first direction. Displaceable driver elements disposed in these endless conduits carry feed in trough runs past the adjacent cages. An overhead delivery conveyor delivers feed to these first and second conduits. First and second drop tubes permit the level of feed in the conduits to be adjusted. This adjustment discourages the poultry from playing with or raking the feed.

  • Patent number: RE31851
Abstract: An improved system for processing an electrical velocity information signal in a velocity detecting system in which a detector is utilized for developing an electrical information signal, such as a Doppler signal, having a characteristic (e.g. frequency) that varies systematically with the object's velocity. A converter develops an oscillatory signal having a frequency which varies in accordance with the velocity information signal characteristic. A tracking filter having a center frequency that varies with the oscillatory signal filters all frequencies other than the center frequency. A signal generator is responsive to the frequency of the signal passed by the tracking filter for generating an output signal having a frequency which is a preset ratio relative to the center frequency, whereby the output signal of the system is relatively noise-free and has a frequency which represents the velocity of the object being detected.
