Abstract: An apparatus to separate a fillet attached to a backbone of a beheaded, slaughtered fish having an open abdominal cavity previously cut by an abdominal knife and a dorsal knife, by cutting through a web left round the backbone of the fish by the abdominal and dorsal knives. The apparatus includes a transport saddle to transport the previously cut fish in a direction of fish travel wherein the saddle includes an upper bone guide and a lower bone guide. The apparatus also includes a separating unit movable back and forth from a standby position into a working position. The separating unit has a separating device to detach the fillet from the backbone of the fish and a counter support associated with the separating device and arranged on the separating unit with the separating device.
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment, the present invention sets forth a method for correlating at least one weapon firing event to at least one scoring event. The method comprising: receiving information relating to a first scoring event; receiving information relating to a first weapon firing event; calculating an angle between a reference line, extending from location of the first weapon event to the location of the first scoring event, and the reference direction at the first computing device; comparing the time of the first scoring event to the time of the weapon firing event at the first computing device; comparing the angle of incidence for the projectile to the calculated angle at the first computing device; and identifying whether the weapon firing event and the scoring event are an unambiguous, one-to-one pairings at the first computing device.
Abstract: A fabrication method of a surface-emitting laser element includes a step of preparing a conductive GaN multiple-region substrate including a high dislocation density high conductance region, a low dislocation density high conductance region and a low dislocation density low conductance region, as a conductive GaN substrate; a semiconductor layer stack formation step of forming a group III-V compound semiconductor layer stack including an emission layer on the substrate; and an electrode formation step of forming a semiconductor layer side electrode and a substrate side electrode. The semiconductor layer and electrodes are formed such that an emission region into which carriers flow in the emission layer is located above and within the span of the low dislocation density high conductance region. Thus, a surface-emitting laser element having uniform light emission at the emission region can be obtained with favorable yield.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device, the method including, providing a first monocrystalline layer including semiconductor regions, overlaying the first monocrystalline layer with an isolation layer, transferring a second monocrystalline layer comprising semiconductor regions to overlay the isolation layer, wherein the first monocrystalline layer and the second monocrystalline layer are formed from substantially different crystal materials; and subsequently etching the second monocrystalline layer as part of forming at least one transistor in the second monocrystalline layer.

Abstract: An elevator for gripping and lifting a riser joint or several interconnected riser joints of a completion and work over riser. A body includes a through bore for receiving a production pipe of a riser joint. The through bore is accessible via a longitudinal opening in the body. The body includes at least one locking device including a hydraulic cylinder. A piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder is moveable to and fro between an unlocking position, in which the piston rod allows a production pipe of a riser joint to pass into or out of the through bore via the longitudinal opening, and a locking position, in which the piston rod prevents a production pipe received in the through bore from passing out of the through bore via the longitudinal opening.

Abstract: An arrangement for heat transport used for thermally insulating, or cooling, one or several elements. A casing is arranged to enclose a medium having heat-storing or cooling capacity. The casing has an internal space for receiving the element or elements and the medium with the medium surrounding the element or elements. The arrangement includes guides arranged in the internal space of the casing so as to guide the medium in the internal space such that a circulation and mixing of the fluid will be generated essentially throughout the internal space under the action of occurring temperature differences in the medium, whereby the natural tendency for temperature stratification of the medium is counteracted or eliminated. A corresponding method, the use of an arrangement for protecting a subsea installation or a part thereof from cooling, and use of an arrangement for efficient cooling an electrical appliance.
