Abstract: A method and a device for producing and/or conditioning powdered material. The aim of the invention is to provide a method and an associated device which are used for producing and/or conditioning powdered material in a spouted bed comprising inert particles and in which a dry, fine powder having a very small particle diameter is produced at a low cost and at adequately large quantities in a continuous operation. This aim is achieved by a method in which the material is treated in several stages in a spouted bed comprising inert particles. In the method, the powdered material that is preprocessed in a first spouted bed and is separated from the larger material particles in an integrated dust collector is fed to a superimposed second spouted bed as a material-gas flow along with the gas flow discharged from the first spouted bed in order to be further reduced in size and be conditioned.

Abstract: A protocol for optimizing the use of coded transmissions such as over wireless links. In this technique, interframes are split into segments selected to be an optimum size according to transmission characteristics of the radio channel. The inverse process is applied at the receiver. Using this scheme, segments containing erroneous data may be present.
Abstract: A construction element for heat insulation between two construction parts, in particular between a building part and a protruding exterior part, is provided, and includes an insulating body (2) to be arranged between the two construction parts with reinforcement elements (4, 5, 6) that can cross it and that can be connected to the two construction parts, with at least shear force rods (6) being provided as reinforcement elements. The construction element is here adjusted for the installation in passively energy conserving houses such that the insulating body is provided with a protrusion (3), which includes open recesses (7) for the upper exit sections (6f) of the shear force rods (6) that extend out of the insulating body, and extend in the direction of the supporting building part to the area of the horizontally protruding shear force rod sections (6a) so that it laterally overlaps the bent shear force rod sections (6d) in their entirety.
Abstract: A wireless communication system includes a plurality of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) and an access point (AP). The AP communicates with the WTRUs via an antenna. In one embodiment, the AP configures the antenna to a wide beam configuration that covers a desired service area and transmits a Request-To-Send (RTS) control message. When the AP receives a Clear-To-Send (CTS) control message from one of the WTRUs, the AP determines optimal antenna settings for communication with the one WTRU. The AP configures the antenna to a narrow beam configuration and transmits at least one data packet to the one WTRU. When the AP receives an acknowledgement message indicating that the data packet was successfully received by the WTRU, the AP configures the antenna to the wide beam configuration. In another embodiment, the AP is configured to transmit and receive data packet fragments from the WTRUs and configure the antenna accordingly.
Abstract: Method and device that by acoustic signal energy—generated by a flowing medium, detects characteristic properties, amounts and the individual distribution between several components/phases, i.e. liquids, gases, particles or any distribution individual and between these. The flowing medium is decided to pass through at least one in a pipe system installed flow conditioner that has at least one restriction and by said passing is decided to release acoustic signal energy. The flow conditioner is installed in such a way that it in an acoustic and/or thermal way is totally or partly isolated from upstream and downstream adjoining sections of the pipe system and/or surrounding construction details.

Configurations for vertical and horizontal members of a fencing assembly that can be used in conjunction with the clip. Methods of assembly are provided as well.
Abstract: A rake architecture for a frequency division duplex (FDD) and use also in TDD and TD-SCDMA type communications system, designed to significantly reduce the memory capacity required and thereby also reduce an area on the die of an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) into which the memory is integrated. A single circular buffer, preferably of the shared memory type is shared by all of the rake fingers of a rake receiver to significantly reduce the hardware and software required to time align multipath signals received by a UE from a base station. This unique time alignment technique also reduces the number of code generators required to track a plurality (typically three) of base stations.

The reservoir flange is made in the form of a connection fitting and is provided with a partition having a central opening in which the tubular electrode is positioned to enable the formation of a heating element including an evaporator and a vapor superheater, both separated by the partition, the evaporator is provided with grooves for discharging vapor into a collector out of an annular recess on a surface of the vapor superheater arranged outside the reservoir.

Abstract: A code division multiple access base station receives K data signals over a shared spectrum. The base station receives and samples a combined signal having the K transmitted data signals. A combined channel response matrix is produced. A block column of a cross correlation matrix is determined using the combined channel response matrix. Each block entry of the block column is a K by K matrix. A fourier transform of a complex conjugate transpose of the combined channel response matrix multiplied to the combined signal samples is taken. An inverse of a fourier transform of each block entry is multiplied to a result of the fourier transform to produce a fourier transform of the data vector. An inverse fourier transform of the data vector fourier transform is taken to produce data of the K signals.

Abstract: An image stabilizer includes a fixed member, a first movable member, a second movable member, and a position sensor. The fixed member includes a first actuator arranged near a first side of an imaging device in parallel with the first side. The first movable member includes a second actuator arranged near a second side perpendicular to the first side in parallel with the second side and moves, when driven by the first actuator, in the direction of the first side. The second movable member has the imaging device mounted thereon and moves, when driven by the second actuator, in the direction of the second side. The position sensor detects the relative position of the imaging device moved by the first and second actuators. The first and second actuators are located near an intersection of the longitudinal axes of them not to interfere with each other.
Abstract: This storage device performs deduplication of eliminating duplicated data by storing a logical address of one or more corresponding logical unit memory areas in a prescribed management information storage area of a physical unit memory area defined in the storage area provided by the flash memory chip, and executes a reclamation process of managing a use degree as the total number of the logical addresses used stored in the management information storage area and a duplication degree as the number of valid logical addresses corresponding to the physical unit memory area for each of the physical unit memory areas, and returning the physical unit memory area to an unused status when the difference of the use degree and the duplication degree exceeds a default value in the physical unit memory area.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for radio link control (RLC) re-segmentation are disclosed. An original RLC protocol data unit (PDU) is generated from at least one RLC service data unit (SDU). The RLC PDU size is within a flexible maximum RLC PDU size. The original RLC PDU is stored in a retransmission buffer. If transmission of the original RLC PDU fails and the original RLC PDU size is larger than an updated maximum RLC PDU size, the original RLC PDU is segmented to segmented RLC PDUs. If transmission of one of the segmented RLC PDUs fails, the original RLC PDU may be re-segmented to smaller size RLC PDUs, or the segmented RLC PDU may be sub-segmented. Alternatively, the failed RLC PDU may be processes as an RLC SDU to generate encapsulating RLC PDUs for carrying the RLC PDU. Alternatively, an RLC SDU corresponding to the failed RLC PDU may be re-segmented.
