  • Patent number: 7787366
Abstract: A method and apparatus for alleviating congestion of a wireless medium used by an access point (AP) and a plurality of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) is disclosed. If congestion is determined to exist on the wireless medium, a determination is then made as to whether there are any low priority traffic streams established between the AP and at least one of the WTRUs. If there are no low priority traffic streams established between the AP and at least one of the WTRUs, selected ones of the associated WTRUs are disassociated with the AP based on the amount of time spent by the WTRUs trying to transmit and retransmit unacknowledged packets or on a specific traffic stream access category. If low priority traffic streams have been established, the packet transmission delay associated with the low priority traffic streams is increased when congestion exists. Otherwise, the packet transmission delay is decreased.

  • Patent number: 7786003
Abstract: A buried local interconnect and method of forming the same counterdopes a region of a doped substrate to form a counterdoped isolation region. A hardmask is formed and patterned on the doped substrate, with a recess being etched through the patterned hardmask into the counterdoped region. Dielectric spacers are formed on the sidewalls of the recess, with a portion of the bottom of the recess being exposed. A metal is then deposited in the recess and reacted to form silicide at the bottom of the recess. The recess is filled with fill material, which is polished. The hardmask is then removed to form a silicide buried local interconnect.

  • Patent number: 7779664
Abstract: A device (1) for the stepped displacement of workpieces inside a press (2) or similar processing equipment is provided. The device includes at least one or two gripper rails (4) that can be displaced back and forth in the direction of a longitudinal extent thereof and in the feed direction, the rails being displaced transversely in relation to one another in order to engage workpieces. To execute a gripping movement, the gripper rail (4) includes levers (5) that run at an angle and in opposite directions to one another, whereby the ends of the levers that face away from the gripper rail can be displaced towards or away from one another. Pivoting arms (11), which together with the levers (5) form scissors or half scissors type drives, are hinged on the levers (5) to guide the resultant transverse movement.

  • Patent number: 7782396
Abstract: A frame rate converting apparatus for converting a frame rate of an input first image signal and outputting the image signal having the converted frame rate as a second image signal. The apparatus includes an input section into which the first image signal is input; a detecting section for detecting a time difference between synchronization timing of each frame of the first image signal and synchronization timing of each frame of the second image signal; a section for determining an output method of outputting the first image signal in conformity with a frame rate of the second image signal, based on a time period of each frame of the first image signal, a time period of each frame of the second image signal, and the above time difference; and an output section for outputting the first image signal as the second image signal in accordance with the determined output method.

  • Patent number: 7779801
Abstract: A camshaft adjuster (1) for an internal combustion engine is provided, which includes a housing (21) and in which a relative angular position between a driving gear (22?) and an output element allocated to the camshaft is adjustable. In a first connection region (28), the housing is connected in a fixed manner to a support element (20) which is connected in a fixed fashion to a plastic toothed ring (19) in a radially outward direction in a second connection region (29). The outer surface of the carrier element (20) fits an inner surface of the toothed ring (19) in the second connection region (29). The carrier element (20) makes it possible to bridge the radial gap between the toothed ring (19) and the outer surface of the housing (21), and the second connection region accurately predefines a position of the toothed ring (19).

  • Patent number: 7783368
Abstract: A control system used to control a controlled plant includes a main control unit, a first tuning unit, and a second tuning unit. The control system regulated by two weighting parameters of a first multiple and a second multiple, robustness and rapid response are attained, and excess of the output signal the controlled plant generates disappears or approaches zero. The control system has technical features of objective bandwidth, offsetting of low frequency disturbance, and matching of transfer functions. By designing the main control unit, the first tuning unit, and the second tuning unit, regulating the two weighting parameters of the first multiple and the second multiple, and tuning the actual system, the above technical features are obtained.

  • Patent number: 7783953
Abstract: A wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) user equipment (UE) operating in frequency division duplex mode for receiving data over at least one of a plurality of high speed (HS) shared control channels (SCCHs) is disclosed. The UE includes means for monitoring the plurality of HS-SCCHs; means for receiving a packet over at least one of the plurality of HS-SCCHs; and means for determining whether a UE identification is present in the packet and whether a circular redundancy code (CRC) of the packet is correct by processing a mask field. The mask field has an N-bit CRC modulo 2 combined with an N-bit UE identification.
