  • Patent number: 5230421
Abstract: The storage arrangement for operation in an autoclave with horizontal cylinder (60) includes a conveyor chain (10), which is moved on both sides back and forth over guide sprocket wheels. Shelves (1) are conveyed with the conveyor chain (10). The parallel guidance of these shelves (1) is effected by means of parallel guide wheels (16), which run synchronously with the guide sprocket wheels (12). The guide sprocket wheels (12) are connected with idler gears (15), so that, as a whole, they present a rigid drive structure. • Patent number: 5207173
Abstract: A low pressure tire indicator is a mechanical device for producing an audible warning to the driver of low or inadequate tire pressure. The low pressure tire indicator includes a strap for mounting the low pressure tire indicator to a wheel hub. A spring housing is mounted on the strap. A rocker arm is mounted on an anchor pin positioned within the spring housing, and extends away from the wheel hub towards the inside tread wall of a pneumatic tire mounted on the wheel hub. The rocker arm includes a roller on a free end for engaging the inside tread wall of the tire during a low pressure condition. A hammer is mounted on the anchor pin and moves in unison with the rocker arm. A spring is mounted on the anchor pin, and, during proper tire inflation, normally urges the hammer into contact with the wheel hub, and normally positions the roller on the free end of the rocker arm between the wheel hub and the inside tread wall of the tire.

  • Patent number: 5205331
Abstract: A tension reducer for a tension controller for use on a power tool such as an inverted router. The router has a drive motor, a motor driven pulley, a router bit-carrying spindle moveable between a lowered inoperative position and an raised cutting position, a drive belt for transferring rotational motion from the motor driven pulley to the spindle, and a drive belt tension control apparatus. The drive belt tension control apparatus includes a mount for mounting the motor driven pulley in continuously variable spaced-apart relation to the spindle during operation of the router and a pressure source for exerting a predetermined pressure on the motor driven pulley and thereby a predetermined tension on the drive belt during operation of the router for rotating the spindle. A tension reducer reduces the tension on the spindle during movement of the spindle between its lowered inoperative position and raised cutting positions for preventing tension-induced hesitation in the movement of the spindle.

  • Patent number: 5201957
Abstract: An evaporator in the form of a vacuum pan has partitions (38) providing a plurality of compartments (42, 46) between an inlet and outlet. The compartments increase in volume from the inlet to the outlet, each compartment having at least one pair of hollow fins (50). A pair of shafts (32) pass through the partitions (38) to provide vanes (58) in each compartment. The vanes (58) pass over the surfaces of the respective fins (50) to agitate fluid in the vacuum pan, the fluid passing from compartment to compartment by way of weirs. The number of fins (50) in each compartment increases from the inlet to the outlet, and the fins (50) may be heated, as may be the vanes (58). The apparatus is advantageous in preparing crystalline sugar from sugar solution, providing for even dispersal of sugar crystals and keeping the massecuite in motion before the latter in its most concentrated state leaves the compartment (46) for further processing.
