A pair of locking devices is provided wherein one locking device is inserted into the opening formed in each of the first and second end members of the axis member. The locking devices engage the pair of expansion sleeves causing the expansion sleeves to expand to secure the axis member in a pair of mounting lugs. A chamber member is formed around a central area of the axis member. At least one lubricant chamber member is formed between the central area of the axis member and the chamber member.
Abstract: A circuit element package has a substrate having a plurality of electrically conductive patterns, a die pad, and an access hole formed through the die pad and substrate. A plurality of leads is coupled to the substrate. A circuit element die is attached to the die pad wherein a first sensor port is positioned over the access hole. A die attach membrane is provided for attaching the circuit element die to the die pad. The die attach membrane allows the circuit element die to sense ambient while protecting the circuit element die from environmental damage. An encapsulant is used for covering portions of the circuit element die.

Abstract: An adjustable patio cover and storm protection device capable of remote operation which acts as a security screen that prevents access through a doorway or window to which it is coupled, reduces the amount of light able to pass through the doorway or window, and also acts as a storm barricade when in its closed or down/vertical position, and which acts as an awning or sun shade that provides shade for the area in front of the door or window to which it is coupled when it is in its open or up/horizontal position.
Abstract: A semiconductor device has a substrate comprising at least one dielectric layer and at least one metal layer on a first surface of the substrate. A die is attached to the first surface of the substrate. A mold compound is used to encapsulate the die and partially encapsulate the first surface of the substrate. The mold compound has a protrusion proximate to the at least one metal layer. A conductive material covers the mold compound, including the protrusion, and contacts the at least one metal layer.

Abstract: A system for on-board anomaly resolution for a vehicle has a data repository. The data repository stores data related to different systems, subsystems, and components of the vehicle. The data stored is encoded in a tree-based structure. A query engine is coupled to the data repository. The query engine provides a user and automated interface and provides contextual query to the data repository. An inference engine is coupled to the query engine. The inference engine compares current anomaly data to contextual data stored in the data repository using inference rules. The inference engine generates a potential solution to the current anomaly by referencing the data stored in the data repository.
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring a gap between a first mating surface of a first component and a second mating surface of a second component has a substrate. A plurality of capacitive sensors is coupled to the substrate. A controller is coupled to the plurality of capacitive sensors. The controller is used to select each individual capacitive sensor to measure the gap between the first mating surface of the first component and the second mating surface of the second component.
Abstract: A method for reducing synchronization offset errors in a TDOA location finding wireless system, comprising: receiving transmissions from at least one sync unit at multiple location transceivers, wherein the multiple location transceivers are synchronized from the sync unit; determining actual times-of-arrival of the received transmissions in response to receiving transmissions; performing a wireless distance measurement between the transceivers and the at least one sync unit, the wireless distance measurement performed by the transceivers in response to the received transmissions from the at least one sync unit; computing an actual propagation time between the sync unit to the transceivers; computing differences between the actual propagation time and theoretical propagation time determined in conformity with the predetermined locations; estimating synchronization offset error of the transceivers in conformity with the computed differences; and correcting the synchronization offset error.

Abstract: A dimming circuit for driving a string of LEDs at constant current has a power converter. A control circuit is coupled to the power converter. A plurality of shunt switches is provided. An individual shut switch is coupled to each LED. Each LED can be shunted individually by the individual shunt switch. The control circuit corrects an internal DC state based on a feedback signal VO so that the output current of the power converter remains unchanged when at least one LED is shunted.
Abstract: A method for working a component to reduce a propensity for advanced dynamic change analyzes affects of a StressWave process on at least one location on a size and shape of the component. The component is also analyzed as to the affects of adding at least one feature on a size and shape of the component. A beginning shape of the component is then extrapolated.
Abstract: An ankle foot orthosis that provides a patient with forward flexing, energy loading, and balance control. The orthosis may also be adjustable for size and fit. The orthosis couples opposing stabilization forces that help to provide optimal balance control.
Abstract: A pumping apparatus and method incorporates at least one and preferably as many as four components that are configured to improve debris removal capabilities as compared to prior art apparatuses. The apparatus and method impart cyclonic motion to pumped fluid, in a manner that tends to separate entrained solids and other impurities, and further that helps draw solid impurities away from the pump barrel. In a preferred embodiment, a cyclonic effect first occurs in a seat plug having a funnel-shaped accumulator region leading to an interior passage therethrough, and at least one off-center opening extending from the interior passage to the exterior of the plug. In one embodiment, that effect is continued at a plunger adapter that has a plurality of inward-angled rings, and that also features off-center openings through which debris may pass to the interior of the plunger adapter.
Abstract: There is provided a gas anchor for use in admitting fluids into a downhole sucker rod oil pump. The gas anchor includes an outer shell positioned around a hollow core, which defines an interior region and an exterior region of the gas anchor. The gas anchor further includes an upper region and a lower region. The hollow core and outer shell have a plurality of holes passing through the hollow core and outer shell, and the holes provide fluid communication from the exterior region to the interior region of the anchor. The hollow core and outer shell further define at least one channel which is in fluid communication from the upper region to the lower region. Additionally, the plurality of holes are formed so as to induce a cyclonic rotation on fluids passing into the interior region of the gas anchor.
Abstract: A cleaning composition and method which may be used to clean a variety of household objects. Such objects may include floor surfaces (including carpets), counter surfaces, bathroom surfaces, clothing, and utensils. In one embodiment, the composition consists essentially of water, vinegar, slaked lime, and alum. In another embodiment, the composition consists essentially of vinegar, lime juice, tamarind, slaked lime, and rock alum.
Abstract: A semiconductor device has a substrate and an encapsulation area on a first surface of the substrate. A first plurality of metal lands is on the first surface of the substrate around a periphery of the encapsulation area. Solder mask coverers portions of the first plurality of metal lands closest to the encapsulation area. Remaining portions of the first plurality of metal lands are exposed areas having no solder mask.
Abstract: A blackjack-type card game with multistage wagering that provides a predetermined set of rules for when a player receives two or three cards, thus removing the option of splitting, doubling-down, or purchasing insurance. The game comprises areas for a player to place an first wager and a second wager. A transitional area is used to transfer the first wager to in given circumstances. The invention may or may not also include an area for an optional bonus wager, wherein the bonus wager would be either collected or paid according to a preset payout schedule and depending upon the cards of the player placing the bonus wager.
