  • Patent number: 7742854
Abstract: A system for on-board anomaly resolution for a vehicle has a data repository. The data repository stores data related to different systems, subsystems, and components of the vehicle. The data stored is encoded in a tree-based structure. A query engine is coupled to the data repository. The query engine provides a user and automated interface and provides contextual query to the data repository. An inference engine is coupled to the query engine. The inference engine compares current anomaly data to contextual data stored in the data repository using inference rules. The inference engine generates a potential solution to the current anomaly by referencing the data stored in the data repository.

  • Patent number: 7729707
Abstract: A method for reducing synchronization offset errors in a TDOA location finding wireless system, comprising: receiving transmissions from at least one sync unit at multiple location transceivers, wherein the multiple location transceivers are synchronized from the sync unit; determining actual times-of-arrival of the received transmissions in response to receiving transmissions; performing a wireless distance measurement between the transceivers and the at least one sync unit, the wireless distance measurement performed by the transceivers in response to the received transmissions from the at least one sync unit; computing an actual propagation time between the sync unit to the transceivers; computing differences between the actual propagation time and theoretical propagation time determined in conformity with the predetermined locations; estimating synchronization offset error of the transceivers in conformity with the computed differences; and correcting the synchronization offset error.

  • Patent number: 7713035
Abstract: A pumping apparatus and method incorporates at least one and preferably as many as four components that are configured to improve debris removal capabilities as compared to prior art apparatuses. The apparatus and method impart cyclonic motion to pumped fluid, in a manner that tends to separate entrained solids and other impurities, and further that helps draw solid impurities away from the pump barrel. In a preferred embodiment, a cyclonic effect first occurs in a seat plug having a funnel-shaped accumulator region leading to an interior passage therethrough, and at least one off-center opening extending from the interior passage to the exterior of the plug. In one embodiment, that effect is continued at a plunger adapter that has a plurality of inward-angled rings, and that also features off-center openings through which debris may pass to the interior of the plunger adapter.

The gas anchor includes an outer shell positioned around a hollow core, which defines an interior region and an exterior region of the gas anchor. The gas anchor further includes an upper region and a lower region. The hollow core and outer shell have a plurality of holes passing through the hollow core and outer shell, and the holes provide fluid communication from the exterior region to the interior region of the anchor. The hollow core and outer shell further define at least one channel which is in fluid communication from the upper region to the lower region. Additionally, the plurality of holes are formed so as to induce a cyclonic rotation on fluids passing into the interior region of the gas anchor.
