Abstract: A device is disclosed for the manual control of thermal relays, comprising a case with a push-button on a front wall and having a transmission member; the latter comprises a rigid support and a resilient lever applicable on the stop and re-set pushers of a thermal relay. A drive element proper to the push-button is applicable on an intermediate zone of the resilient lever.

Abstract: The fixing device includes parallel slides 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d constituted by double folds of flexible thin curtains disposed opposite one another. Each slide is made up of two lips 2a, 3a, 2b, 3b, 2c and 3c which are able to receive cards 14a, 14b and 14c by sliding. Between the sldies 1a and 1b, the curtain has an arced shape and bears tie rods 6 so that any traction applied to these tie rods 6 flattens the arc-shaped section of the curtain 1, thus pushing back the lip 2a towards the lip 3a and the lip 2b towards the lip 3b. Thus, clamping of the cards 14a and 14b is respectively obtained in the slides 1a and 1b.The invention is applicable to the fixing of printed cards in housings, particularly on board space and aeronautical vehicles.

Abstract: On the frame of the apparatus are pivoted the upper ends of two lateral levers of which the lower ends are respectively pivoted at the two ends of an intermediate horizontal lever, these levers defining three sides of a deformable parallelogram. Three rollers ar carried on a lever which rollers are adapted for clamping the strap circulating around the periphery of a pulley, while another lever carries a deflector roller which co-acts with the loaded strand of the strap for applying the rollers against the pulley. Besides the deflector roller are mounted two guide rollers which are urged by a spring. The loaded strand is guided between the deflector roller and one guide roller while the other strand, which is clamped between the guide rollers, is driven at a speed identical to the speed of the loaded strand but of opposite direction.

Abstract: The device includes, on the one hand, a main body with a base (2) and, on the other hand, screen-type dialogue means (7) which are placed in a flat casing connected to the main body (2) by support means, and means for maintaining the angular position (14) which can be regulated both for height and for angle. Said means for maintaining the angular position (14) are arranged coaxially to a pivoting axis XX' of a support arm (15) on the body (2) and include a free-wheel device mechanically located in series with a friction angular coupling device. The invention makes it considerably easier to adjust the position of the dialogue means.

Abstract: A flange is disclosed for supporting and adjusting the position of a proximity detector. The body of the flange has a cylindrical housing in which the case of the detector is held in position by clamping device. Fixing elements are provided on the side of the body to allow adjustment thereof along the axis of the housing. The body comprises a rigid web of small thickness at one end of the housing to serve as a stop for the detection face of the case.

Abstract: The invention relates to a medical instrument with an endoscope, in which a wire loop, gripping arms or the like are arranged in displaceable manner in the longitudinal direction of the endoscope, as well as with a telescopic periscope which is displaceable together with the wire loop electrode or the like and in which between a ring connected to the telescopic periscope and an axially displaceable slide, which, is connected to the wire loop or the like, are arranged first and second levers interconnected by means of a first joint so that the first lever is connected by means of a second joint to the slide, while the second lever is connected by means of a third joint to the ring, a connection between its end to the periscope and at its other end by a fourth joint being connected between the two joints of the second lever so that the ratio of the spacing of the fourth joint with respect to the first joint is selected so that there is a smaller periscope displacement than wire loop electrode displacement.

Abstract: An article of manufacture which is used in medical treatment is a concave wave focusing device and a piezoelectric surface coupled to a target locating and treatment aiming ultrasound transducer which is located between the target and the surface and which scans the target to display a target image in coincidence with a visible indication of the focal point of the focusing device.

Abstract: A thermal relay is disclosed which can be remotely re-set and/or tripped by means of remote control electromagnets.The case of the relay has second fixing means adapted to receive first fixing means belonging to one and the same electromagnet can in which an extension of the core or plate is orientable so as to come opposite each of the re-setting and testing pushers placed on the front face of the relay.

Abstract: A portable data-processing terminal is provided comprising a central unit, a keyboard and a screen, the keyboard being disconnectable whereas the screen is connected to the central unit by an articulation device comprising at least one (cranked) bent lever, one end of which is articulated to a first face of said central unit, whereas the other end is articulated to the screen. With the (cranked) bent shape of the lever, the screen may be folded back against a second face of the central unit.

Abstract: A protected reversing contactor is disclosed comprising two electromagnets intended to be alternately energized and whose armatures actuate two sets of respective phase switches and two acknowledgement switches mounted respectively in series in the supply circuit of the two coils of the two electromagnets. These two acknowledgement switches are actuated by a transmission system comprising two coaxial rotary shafts disposed end to end and each having an arm adapted to be driven in rotation, in one direction, by one of the electromagnets and a finger cooperating with the acknowledgement switch of the other electromagnet.

Abstract: The device consists of a hollow tubular body which has, at one side at its upper portion, four parallel slots intended to each receive a pack of thirteen cards in one of the colours of a deck of cards. A vertical screen disposed at the rear of the slots prevents the packets of cards being seen by the other players. The other portion of the body houses a wound tape on which a list of the player's successive hands is printed. This list comes out through a slot towards the bottom of the body and then enters inside the latter through a slot and comes out through a slot. The player reads on the portion of the tape coming out through the slot 9 the disposition of the hand to be played and quickly forms this hand by means of the packs of cards housed inside the slots. The device enables a player at a table to quickly form a predetermined bridge hand.

Abstract: An electronic thermal relay is disclosed which can be associated with a multiphase electric load for generating a pre-alarm and/or an order for cutting off the power supply to the load in the case of a current overload in at least one phase or an imbalance between phase currents.With each phase is associated a thermal element with a resistive heating element through which the phase current flows, a resistive sensor transmitting to a signal processing circuit a signal representative of the heating and a thermal memory mass. The heating element is thermally coupled to the sensor and to the memory mass by a coupling body whose thermal inertia is less than that of the memory mass.

Abstract: A hyperthermia treatment apparatus combining a generator of a focused ultrasonic beam comprising a main high frequency electric wave emitter and a main piezoelectric transducer whose active surface is focusing, with an echography device comprising an auxiliary high frequency electric pulse generator associated with an auxiliary piezoelectric transducer and means for causing the zone to be treated to be swept by the ultrasonic examination beam generated by said auxiliary transducer; and with switching and adjustment means for causing, during a main treatment and checking operating mode, emission of said focused beam by said main transducer energized by said main emitter during periodic time intervals separated by shorter time intervals during which the emission of the examination beam and the formation of echographic images are effected.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method of ultrasonically locating and aiming treatment at a body target and displaying real time images of the body target. A treatment transducer produces a treatment beam of wave vibrations focused on said target and a separate scanning transducer displays images of said target on a display device during treatment with said beam together with a coincident image of a cursor which identifies the focal spot of the treatment beam.

Abstract: Device for make-up by transfer of colored substances to the skin from a relatively soft support applied to the skin and removed after transfer, characterized in that said support (1) is in cut-out form, that the pigments or colored powder type lacquers of the cosmetic type are deposited thereon in order to form a pigmented area (regions 2 to 7) having the contour of a predetermined region of the skin, with a distribution of the various colored substances and of their density in said zone which are such as to produce the effect of the final make-up, the adherence of the pigments to one another and to the support being, in the surface layer, weaker than their adherence to the skin so that their transfer to the skin is effected by simple application of the support to the section of skin to be made up.
