  • Patent number: 6199894
Abstract: An extendable truck frame includes extended frame rails and interconnecting members. One end of the extended rails includes a connection that can be received by and secured into the back end of truck frame. In one embodiment, the extended rails can be positioned either at the general level of the truck frame to essentially extend the truck frame in the same general plane as the truck frame, but alternatively can be secured to the truck frame at a different, for example lower, position. The extended frame is releasable by interconnecting mechanisms so that extended frame can be selectively used.

  • Patent number: 6201215
Abstract: A thick film low value high frequency inductor made by the process of subjecting a conductor layer to a plurality of linear cuts by a pulsing laser cutter imposed simultaneously on the entire length of the linear cut being made to create a cross sectional cut of substantial rectangular configuration. The conductor body is a layer of dried silver thick film ink. The method of making a thick film low value high frequency inductor involves the steps of taking a conductor layer comprised of a dried layer of photo sensitive silver ink, masking the ink with the negative of the desired configuration of the ink, exposing the ink to UV radiation, developing the ink, and firing the layer to adhere the silver to the layer.

  • Patent number: 6199591
Abstract: A pipe repair apparatus includes an outer carrier tube, an inner bladder tube within the carrier tube, and a repair sleeve within the bladder tube. The bladder tube and the carrier tube are formed by one unitary tube which is folded back upon itself. A wick extends from the repair sleeve to the rear end of the bladder tube and permits evacuation of gases from the bladder tube when the bladder tube is flattened by a vacuum during insertion of a curable resin into the bladder tube at its forward end. The bladder tube can be inverted out of the carrier tube so as to place the repair sleeve in contact with an area to be repaired within a sewer pipe. This method may also be used to repair the damaged joint between a lateral sewer line and a main sewer line.

  • Patent number: 6199333
Abstract: An elongated strip for covering the ends of a row of spaced protruding reinforcing bars has an elongated body member having a substantial horizontal top with outer and inner surfaces, and with parallel side edges. A pair of converging side walls extend downwardly and inwardly from the side edges of the top and terminate in lower ends which define an openable throat portion normally having a breadth less than the diameter of reinforcing bars upon which the body member is to be placed. The body member is at least partially resilient and spring-like so that the throat portion can be manually opened sufficiently to receive the ends of a row of reinforcing bars. At least two oppositely disposed elongated protruding ribs extend inwardly from the inner surface of the side walls of the body member to frictionally engage reinforcing bars extending through the opened throat portion and in between adjacent ends of the ribs.

  • Patent number: 6196549
Abstract: A game apparatus and method for playing the game comprising a verse booklet, a plurality of instruction cards, each with a different instruction imprinted thereon and a scoring means. The game is played by selecting an existing partial verse. Then, an instruction card is drawn from a plurality of instruction cards, which outlines how the partial verse is to be completed. A player then completes the poem under a time constraint. Then, the completed verse is scored by opposing players. Finally, the steps are repeated until the game is completed.

  • Patent number: 6196231
Abstract: An apparatus for treating lymphedema in the limb of a patient as an outer sleeve configured to encircle the limb of the patient. A plurality of straps are secured in a lateral configuration on the sleeve to tighten the sleeve about the limb of the patient. Detachable markers are located on each of the straps adjacent a reference point on the straps to permit the straps to be tightened, loosened and then retightened to the same positions. The method for treating edema in the limb of a patient at a multiplicity of spaced apart locations comprises encircling the limb of a patient with an elongated sleeve having an elongated open seam and a plurality of spaced apart laterally extending releasable enclosable tightening straps. Strap are closed to secure the sleeve to the patient's limb. One of the straps is released, and a partially air-inflated pneumatic bladder is inserted through the seam underneath the released strap to position the bladder adjacent the patient's limb and the interior of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6196645
Abstract: A device for removing debris from a drive wheel rotatably mounted to a vehicle body includes an auxiliary wheel rotatably mounted on the body adjacent an outer peripheral surface of the drive wheel. The auxiliary drive wheel has a substantially circumferential surface for engaging the outer peripheral surface of the drive wheel and thereby being rotated by the drive wheel in a direction opposite the rotation of the drive wheel. The auxiliary wheel dislodges debris on the drive wheel and discharges it away from the track mechanism of the vehicle. A selector mechanism can be provided to selectively move the auxiliary wheel out of engagement with the drive wheel. The auxiliary wheel can be mounted radially adjacent to the drive wheel so that it contacts the upper section of the drive wheel.

  • Patent number: 6189435
Abstract: A diaphragm for a turbo charger actuator includes a layer of fabric having upper and lower surfaces. A first layer of elastomeric material coats at least a portion of the upper surface of the fabric to prevent pressurized air from passing through. A second layer of elastomeric material coats at least a portion of the lower surface of the fabric to form a plurality of ribs thereon. The ribs reinforce the fabric and prevent dirt or other abrasive particles from wearing holes in the elastomeric material and the fabric. When the fabric has woven strands, the ribs protect some of the points where the strands intersect in key areas on the diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 6190636
Abstract: A novel method is described whereby chlorine and sodium sulfate waste by-products from chemical by-products are recycled to form useful chemicals. Sodium sulfate is first reacted to form a metal sulfate and sodium chloride. The sodium chloride may be used as a chemical feed in chlor-alkali plants. The metal sulfate is then reacted to form an ammonium sulfate or bisulfate which in turn is reacted with chlorine to form sulfuric acid. The sulfuric acid may be used a chemical feed in chlorine dioxide plants and in various other chemical processes.

  • Patent number: 6189253
Abstract: A muzzleloading rifle has a bolt with a laterally extending handle. The bolt is operationally connected to the cocking piece of the firearm by means of engaged cam surfaces of the bolt and the cocking piece which will permit the rifle to be cocked only by moving the bolt handle in an upwardly and rotational motion without any longitudinal movement of the bolt towards the cocking piece. After the firearm has been loaded by means of depositing a disc element with a primer element in the center bore thereof in the breech opening of the firearm, the firearm is placed in a firing condition by reversing rotational motion of the bolt handle. The disc element has a center bore which is adapted to receive a conventional nipple and a percussion cap, or in lieu thereof, and preferably, a shot gun primer. The latter is preferred in that it provides a hotter and more intense ignition of the gun powder in the muzzleloading rifle art.
