  • Patent number: 6212065
Abstract: A capacitor includes a porous pellet formed from compressed conductive particles. The pellet has a lead receiving external surface. The conductive particles at the lead receiving surface are fused together to create a fused layer on the external surface of the pellet. A lead wire has one of its ends welded to the fused layer on the surface of the pellet. The fused layer is formed by exposing it to high temperatures, preferably by use of a laser beam.

  • Patent number: 6206105
Abstract: A forwardly folding tool bar including a center tool bar section having wing tool bar sections pivotally secured to the outer ends thereof. The wing tool bar sections are pivotally movable from a field position to a transport position. In the field position, the wing tool bar sections are parallel to and extend outwardly from the outer ends of the center tool bar section. When the wing tool bar sections are moved to their transport positions, the wing tool bar sections pivotally move approximately 180° with respect to the center tool bar section so that the wing tool bar sections are positioned in front of the outer ends of the center tool bar section. A telescoping tongue is also provided on the tool bar section which includes telescoping tongue sections which are automatically locked and unlocked.

  • Patent number: 6206477
Abstract: A yard waste handling apparatus includes a trailer or truck with a dump box operably mounted on the forward end thereof and a tailgate pivotally mounted on the rearward end thereof. The tailgate may be pivoted from a vertical position to a loading position sloped downwardly to the ground. The dump box has an operable front wall which may be pivoted to an open position to permit dumping of the contents from the dump box. A hydraulic scissors hoist under the dump box and connected to the truck or trailer frame is operable to pivot the dump box about the forward edge of the bottom of the dump box to thereby dump the contents of the dump box to one side of the truck or trailer. A hopper is mounted on a lift arm which is operably mounted to the dump box, the lift arm raising the hopper from a loading position on the ground to a raised position adjacent the open upper end of the dump box.

  • Patent number: 6207234
Abstract: A method of creating a multilayer ceramic component of the present invention is used to spontaneously create vias between adjacent conductor layers in a multilayer inductive component. After a first conductive layer is printed, a via dot is printed on the first conductive layer. Next, a controlled thickness of ceramic slurry is cast over the previous ceramic layer, first conductive pattern, and the via dot. The physical/chemical forces between the via dot and the ceramic slurry expel the slurry in the proximity of the top surface of the via dot. When the ceramic slurry dries, the ceramic cast leaves vias filled with conductors from the preprinted via dots. This process is repeated until a desired number of conductive layers are formed.

  • Patent number: 6206039
Abstract: A freezeless wall hydrant for delivery of hot or cold water from a single discharge conduit has first and second fluid inlet pipes in parallel spaced relation. The pipes have forward and rearward ends and are connected respectively to sources of hot and cold pressurized water. A laterally extending fluid conduit member connects the forward ends of the first and second fluid inlet pipes and is in communication therewith. A fluid closure valve is located in the rearward ends of each of the first and second fluid pipes. A check valve is in each of the pipes forwardly of the fluid closure valves and is capable of permitting fluid flow in the pipes in a direction from the closure valve, but prevents fluid flow towards the closure valves. A valve rod having forward and rearward ends rotatably extends through the laterally extending fluid conduit and through the forward ends of the first and second inlet pipes and has one end operatively connected to the check valves in the rearward ends of the fluid inlet pipes.

  • Patent number: 6206700
Abstract: An interactive adaptive learning system. A collection of core stimuli consisting of at least auditory and visual symbols and information, are stored on a computer. A number of different relationships between the core stimuli are created which can then be presented as discrimination or identification tasks to the user. Different sets of stimuli are then presented succeedingly to the user and the user is requested to respond. The form of response can either be to investigate and analyze the stimuli, or attributes of the stimuli, or answer of the quarry regarding the discrimination or identification task. The system has a built in strategy for progressing the user through learning tasks. The users actions and responses in reaction to the stimuli are all recorded and analyzed. Based not only on the success rate of the user responses, but also on other characteristics of the users reaction to the stimuli, the users learning strategy is classified.

  • Patent number: 6205603
Abstract: An improved front loading washing machine and method of wetting clothes in a front loading machine is provided. The balance ring of the machine has a plurality of holes extending 360° around the ring through which water is flowable. A water supply line directs water to the space between the machine tub and spinner, such that the water flows by gravity along the outer surface of the balance ring and then drains or drips through the holes in the balance ring for introduction into the spinner, thereby wetting the clothes in the spinner. With this improved machine, the amount of time required to saturate the clothes in the spinner is minimized, thereby enhancing the washing action on the clothes.

  • Patent number: 6199740
Abstract: A pneumatic fastener inserter and hopper for the same is disclosed for use in inserting fasteners into material being secured. The hopper comprises a rotatable drum which tumbles the fasteners therein into position so that the shanks thereof protrude outwardly between spaced-apart bars. The fasteners are discharged from a discharge opening formed in the hopper and are delivered to a magazine which is in communication with an entrapment apparatus which feeds the fasteners to a feed tube under pressure. The air pressure in the feed tube delivers the individual fasteners to the inserter with the fastener being positioned between pivotally movable head fingers which open to receive the fastener to position the same for subsequent insertion and which pivot to enable the fastener to be driven outwardly therefrom by a piston rod so that the fastener is driven into and through the material being secured.
