Abstract: A wireless node in a wireless network may transmit information indicating a first reception schedule and a second reception schedule. The first reception schedule and the second reception schedule may be used by other wireless nodes to determine a sequence of time intervals for reception. Data may be transmitted to the other wireless nodes based on the scheduled transmissions.
Abstract: A multi-mode receiver includes a channel decomposition module (e.g., a Rake receiver) for separating a received signal into multipath components, an interference selector for selecting interfering paths and subchannels, a synthesizer for synthesizing interference signals from selected sub channel symbol estimates, and an interference canceller for cancelling selected interference in the received signal. At least one of the channel decomposition module, the synthesizer, and the interference canceller are configurable for processing multi-mode signals.

Abstract: The disclosed methods, systems, and computer-program products allow a business to generate data quality indicators for relationships in a database. In an embodiment, one or more relationships linked to a customer are retrieved from a database to form a set of relationships. A match confidence code is generated for each relationship based on a score generated by the comparison of customer data associated with the respective relationship and corresponding customer data obtained from an external industry database. Abstract: A centrifugal blood pump apparatus includes a plurality of permanent magnets (17) in an impeller (10) in a blood chamber (7), a plurality of coils (20) in a motor chamber (8), and a magnetic element (18) in each of the coils (20). The magnetic elements (18) are made shorter than the coils (20) to lower attractive force between the magnetic elements (18) and the permanent magnets (17) in the impeller (10), to set a large gap between the magnetic elements (18) and the permanent magnets (17). As a result, axial attractive force and negative rigidity can be lowered while required torque is satisfied.

Abstract: A mobile station includes communication control circuitry that selects a preamble contained in a first Random Access Preamble group when a message size based on data available for transmission does not meet a first condition or when a value calculated based on a reference signal received power of downlink does not meet a second condition, a preamble contained in a second Random Access Preamble group when the message size based on data available for transmission meets the first condition and the value calculated based on the reference signal received power of downlink meets the second condition, and a preamble contained in the third Random Access Preamble group for a handover, independent of the message size based on data available for transmission and the value calculated based on the reference signal received power of downlink. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for an updatable blood pump are disclosed herein. The blood pump can be part of a mechanical circulatory support system that can include a system controller and the blood pump. The blood pump can include a rotary motor and a control unit that can communicate with the system controller. The system controller can initiate the update process and can provide the update to the blood pump. Upon initiation of the update process, the control unit can stop the rotary motor. While the rotary motor is stopped, the blood pump can be updated. At the completion of the update, the rotary pump can be restarted.

Abstract: A system and method for detecting and mitigating a suction condition are disclosed. The method may include estimating a flow waveform of the pump, identifying pulses in the flow waveform, determining a negative flow based on a valid identification of a pulse, and evaluating a characteristic of the pulse for an existence of a suction condition. In various embodiments, a suction marker is located based on a minimum in a diastolic phase, and the suction marker location is used to identify a probability of a suction condition. A speed of the pump may be adjusted to mitigate the suction condition. A system and method for estimating flow is further disclosed. The method may include interpolating data sets defining pump power to flow for various pump speed values.

Before regular manufacturing of an IGBT, the surface defects of a substrate material are eliminated as many as possible before epitaxy is formed, and the quality of an epitaxial layer is improved, thereby improving the quality of the whole IGBT.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for removing a polysilicon protection layer (12) on a back face of an IGBT having a field stop structure (10). The method comprises thermally oxidizing the polysilicon protection layer (12) on the back face of the IGBT until the oxidation is terminated on a gate oxide layer (11) located above the polysilicon protection layer (12) to form a silicon dioxide layer (13), and removing the formed silicon dioxide layer (13) and the gate oxide layer (11) by a dry etching process. The method for removing the protection layer is easier to control.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method providing an improvement in remediating vulnerabilities in computer security comprising: receiving, using a network tap of a sensor computer that is coupled to a compromised computer, a communication packet that was sent from the compromised computer to a target computer; using the sensor computer, determining that the target computer is one of a plurality of enterprise computers; reading, at the sensor computer, a plurality of fields within a header of the communication packet; and performing a remediation measure by generating a header of an action packet, wherein the header comprises duplicates of at least some fields of the plurality of fields so as to appear to be generated by the target computer, generating a payload of the action packet, and sending the action packet comprising the generated header and the generated payload to the compromised computer.
