Abstract: An on-line system and method assembles, stores, and administers all of a company's merchandising content in a single location, and optimizes the effectiveness of the content by determining the content and format most likely to be of interest to the consumer. Generally, a merchant sets up at least one campaign in the system, by generating various objects and/or resources comprising merchandising content. The merchant and/or its advertiser then establishes a set of rules which are applied to determine the objects and resources of the campaign to be distributed to a consumer, based on various circumstances and scenarios. When the consumer interacts with the system, the system determines dynamically the merchandising content to be sent to the consumer by processing data corresponding to the consumer, the consumer's computer system and environmental and geographical data.

Abstract: Non-planar acoustic arrays are disclosed in which the plurality of transducers lie on a curved surface. The curved surface preferably subtends at least 90° and, in a preferred embodiment of the invention is a closed convex surface such as a cylinder. The curvature of the surface allows beams to be directed in a greater variety of directions. Apparatus and methods are disclosed in which only certain of the transducers are used for beam-forming, in accordance with the position of the transducer relative to the desired beam.
Abstract: An electromagnetic device and method of operation thereof are disclosed. The electromagnetic device contains an electromagnetic field generator, a microcurrent generator and a photonic accumulator. The electromagnetic field generator generates broadband electromagnetic fields to substantially envelope a subject placed in proximity thereto. The subject is placed in contact with microcurrent electrodes so as to permit a broadband microcurrent to flow through the subject or along the surface of the subject. A photonic accumulator is positioned proximate the subject to receive biophotons emitted therefrom and to activate the biophotons with a light source.
Abstract: A cable holder for securing multiple elongated objects to a support has a plurality of inner and outer hangers fixedly attached to one another and each configured to receive a respective one of the multiple elongated objects. The inner and outer hangers are displaceable relative to one another so that the outer hanger does not block the inner hanger during attachment of the latter to a support.
Abstract: It is the object of the present disclosure to provide an improved end mill that can be easily manufactured, reduces cutting forces on the driving tool, limits chatter at high rotation speeds, has better stability, produces smoother cutting surfaces, and has less natural resonating frequencies while in use to permit operation of the end mill over a wider range of operating conditions. The end mill is equipped with a series of sinusoidal cutting edges with a single long pitch arranged regularly or irregularly along the circumferential cutting surface. In another embodiment, the pitch, the cutting angle of the datum line of the sinusoidal cutting edges and the amplitude of the sinusoidal function can be varied.
Abstract: A system for representation and analysis of pressure variables in a patient including a plurality of pressure sensors; a signal processor connected to process signals emitted by the sensors, wherein the process comprises a multiplicity of inputs for receiving analog signals from the sensors, wherein each input is connected to a sampling circuit providing a digital signal used by a calculator for performing processing steps comprising: resampling displayed or recorded signals, analyzing the frequency of sampled signals in relation to a range of target frequencies recorded in a memory, for the display and recording of temporal variations of the signals corresponding to slow waves of the signals, and determination of temporal shifts between the slow waves corresponding to two distinct inputs; and a display that shows variations in the signals.
Abstract: Control apparatus of an electric vehicle controls a power supply system of the electric vehicle equipped with a first direct current power supply apparatus for supplying direct current power to a traction inverter, and a second direct current power supply apparatus connected in parallel with the first direct current power supply apparatus via a DC/DC converter. This control apparatus is also provided with a relay for cutting off supply of power from the first direct current power supply apparatus to the traction inverter in synchronization with the operation of the self-protection circuit in the event that the self-protection circuit of the traction inverter operates as a result of overcurrents supplied by the first direct current power supply apparatus.

Abstract: A loudspeaker comprises a region devoid of electroacoustic transducers and at least two groups of electroacoustic transducers at the periphery of the region. Each of the groups is configured to produce a different sound field representative of an audio signal and each of the groups comprise a different set of transducers. This allows a more compact loudspeaker to be provided because the transducers can be located around the periphery of a visual display screen. Sound quality is not compromised because groups of transducers forming a subset of the totality of transducers are used for each sound signal, thereby avoiding alias beams.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a substantially package-like discrete electronic component of the type comprising a power electronic circuit, a body or casing, substantially parallelepiped, and electric connecting pins connected inside the body with said circuit and projecting from said body for an electric connection on the electronic printed circuit board. The body has a heat dissipating header having at least one surface emerging from the body and laying on a plane whereas the pins project from the body for a first section initially extended parallel to the plane. Advantageously a pair of pins has a substantially U-shaped bending, after the first section parallel to the plane for allowing a more stable bearing of the component during the step of welding to a heat dissipating intermediate die.
Abstract: The present invention provides a communication network in which data can be routed from a terminal to a WAN over a plurality of communication links, the communication links connecting a plurality of terminals to the WAN and all of the terminals being interconnected by a LAN.
