  • Patent number: 11834862
Abstract: A modular energy-dissipating fabricated structure for a transmission tower includes a base, two T-shaped beams, a vibration damping mechanism, a connection plate, and four supporting beams. The vibration damping mechanism slides to generate the damping force and energy dissipation. The larger the displacement of the vibration damping mechanism, the greater the damping force provided by the system. This effectively reduces vibration of an upper structure of the transmission tower, and lowers a probability of damaging the upper structure in a natural disaster. The modular energy-dissipating fabricated structure realizes hierarchical control under different loads. Under an action of a dynamic load such as a strong wind, a small sliding range of the vibration damping mechanism can realize vibration damping and energy dissipation purposes of the structure. When a strong dynamic load such as an earthquake is applied to the structure, the vibration damping mechanism reduces an impact on the structure.

  • Publication number: 20230381185
Abstract: Described herein is a novel nanocomposite for oral administration for treatment of gastrointestinal disease, e.g., IBD, or injury. The nanocomposite contains nanoemulsion particles (NEs), loaded with an active therapeutic agent, that are then combined with a second component containing a self-assembling peptide(s) (SAP) or peptidomimetic(s) (optionally, the second component is in a powder form). Upon administration, when hydrated at slightly acidic or near-neutral pH, the system self-assembles into a hydrogel matrix enveloping NEs, which then adheres to, and more efficiently delivers, the active agent to the intestinal tract of a treated subject. The nanocomposite can be administered in a capsule dosage form that forms a depot in the stomach or post-stomach.

  • Patent number: 11822163
Abstract: A novel and useful quantum computing machine includes classic computing and quantum computing cores. A programmable pattern generator executes instructions that control the quantum core. A pulse generator generates the control signals input to the quantum core to perform quantum operations. A partial readout of the quantum state is re-injected into the quantum core to extend decoherence time. Access gates control movement of quantum particles in the quantum core. Errors are corrected from the readout before being re-injected into the quantum core. Internal and external calibration loops calculate error syndromes and calibrate control pulses input to the quantum core. Control of the quantum core is provided from an external support unit via the pattern generator or retrieved from classic memory where sequences of commands are stored in memory. A cryostat unit functions to cool the quantum computing core to approximately 4 Kelvin.
