Abstract: A method for modifying a cellular polymer foam with apparent porosity, which includes providing a cellular polymer foam with apparent porosity, placing the cellular polymer foam in contact with at least one compound in order to obtain a cellular polymer foam including on the surface thereof an intermediate phase formed from the compound having at least one catechol unit. The foam may be used as a catalyst substrate.

Abstract: Disclosed is a radio antenna comprising a substrate of dielectric material; a ground plane of electrically conductive material on a first face of the substrate; a resonator for converting an incident electrical signal into an electromagnetic wave and for resonating at at least two different resonant frequencies. The resonator comprises at least three elements, each in the form of strips of conductive material and arranged on a second face of the substrate opposite the first face. A second element is electrically connected to the ground plane by means of a via passing through the substrate at a first end of the corresponding strip, forms an extension of the first element, and is electrically connected directly to the first element at a second end of said strip which is opposite the first end.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for supporting efficient and secure “Machine-to-Machine” (M2M) communications using a module, a server, and an application. A module can communicate with the server by accessing the Internet, and the module can include a sensor and/or an actuator. The module, server, and application can utilize public key infrastructure (PKI) such as public keys and private keys. The module can internally derive pairs of private/public keys using cryptographic algorithms and a first set of parameters. A server can authenticate the submission of derived public keys and an associated module identity. The server can use a first server private key and a second set of parameters to (i) send module data to the application and (ii) receive module instructions from the application. The server can use a second server private key and the first set of parameters to communicate with the module.
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to electronic smoking devices and in particular to a tray for at least a portion of an electronic smoking device. The tray (100) comprises at least one cavity (101) for containing the portion. The tray (100) is configured to be reversibly deformed from a default form into a deformed form by finger interaction with interaction elements of the tray (100) having a distance to each other of at least 90% of the average distance between thumb tip and index finger tip or a middle finger tip of an adult. The tray (100) is configured to return to the default form once the finger interaction is terminated. The default form provides the at least one cavity (101) for containing the portion in an inaccessible manner and the deformed form is required for accessing the portion.

The module can (i) receive the first key, (ii) decrypt the first shared secret key K with the first key, and (iii) subsequently authenticate with the wireless network using the plaintext first shared secret key K. The wireless network can authenticate the user of the module using a second factor. The module can then (i) receive the second key, (ii) decrypt the second shared secret key K, and (iii) authenticate with the wireless network using the second shared secret key K. Abstract: A radio transmitting device and method enables reduction of an increase of CQI memories for the control channel and an improvement of the throughput of the data channel. Abstract: Method for determining a grasping hand model suitable for grasping an object by obtaining a first RGB image including at least one object; obtaining an object model estimating a pose and shape of said object from the first image of the object; selecting a grasp taxonomy from a set of grasp taxonomies by means of a Convolutional Neural Network, with a cross entropy loss, thus, obtaining a set of parameters defining a coarse grasping hand model; refining the coarse grasping hand model, by minimizing loss functions referring to the parameters of the hand model for obtaining an operable grasping hand model while minimizing the distance between the finger of the hand model and the surface of the object and preventing interpenetration; and obtaining a mesh of the hand represented by the enhanced set of parameters.
