Abstract: The patent application relates generally to a thermal isolation material, more particularly to a thermal isolation material having at least an intumescent layer and a refractory layer. The intumescent and refractory layers are generally stacked on top of one other. The patent application also generally relates to a method of making the thermal isolation material that includes the steps of providing a substrate having opposing first and second sides, applying an intumescent material to the substrate and applying a refractory material to the substrate to form a thermal isolation material, where the one following can be true: (i) the intumescent material is applied on the first side and wherein the refractory material is applied on the second side; (ii) the intumescent material is positioned between the substrate and the refractory material and (ii) the refractory material is positioned between the substrate and the intumescent material.

Abstract: A composition containing a carbon monofluoride admixture is provided. The carbon monofluoride admixture is generally in the form of layer having opposing upper and lower surfaces. Usually, an ion conducting or a solid electrolyte layer is position on one of the upper or lower layers of the monofluoride admixture. In some configurations, the ion conducting or a solid electrolyte layer can be alkaline metal aluminum oxide or alkaline metal aluminum fluoride. The alkaline metal is commonly lithium, and the alkaline metal aluminum oxide or alkaline metal aluminum fluoride is more commonly MzAlXy (M is one of alkali metals, X=O, F), Z commonly can have a value from about 0.5 to about 10 and y can have a value from about 1.75 to about 6.5, more commonly z can have a value from about 1 to about 5 and y can have a value from about 2 to about 4. The carbon monofluoride admixture can include a polymeric binder and one or more of a conductive carbon black and conductive graphite.
Abstract: A hybrid electrochemical energy storage device having the attributes of a high power supercapacitor and a lithium ion battery are described. The hybrid electrochemical energy storage device can be a pseudocapacitor with a cathode having a coated activated carbon powder having a coated activated carbon cathode. The coated activated carbon can provide for enhanced energy density and ion conductivity. The activated carbon powder is coated with metal oxides, metal nitrides, metal sulfides, metal phosphates, polymers, and ion conducting or solid electrolytes, and a mixture thereof. More specifically, the activated carbon powder can include two or more active materials, with one of the two or more active materials being carbonaceous particles that comprise from about 50 to about 100 wt % of the composition, and the other of the two or more active materials atomic deposition layers on the carbonaceous particles.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an energy-saving electronic touch switch, comprising a touch sensing module, a power supply module and a switch driving module, wherein the touch sensing module is used for receiving a touch sensing signal inputted by a capacitive touch switch, and controlling the action of the switch driving module according to the touch sensing signal, so as to switch on a power supply circuit for the load; and the power supply module feeds power to the touch sensing module. The touch switch can drive various loads and has a wider range of possible loads including inductive, capacitive or purely resistive loads and high-frequency switch power supply loads, such as energy-saving lights, AC (Alternating Current) motors, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) new light sources, common fluorescent lamps, and the like. The energy-saving electronic touch switch overcomes the disadvantages of small load range and weak load capacity of conventional switches.

Abstract: Disclosed are endodontic filling materials and methods. A method for filling a dental root canal may include providing a hydrosetting filling material and inserting the hydrosetting filling material into the dental root canal, the material setting in the root canal to form a biocompatible filling. The hydrosetting filling material comprises a hydrogel former and a filler. The hydrogel former is at least one of a reactive organic hydrogel formers, an inorganic hydrogel formers, and a non-reactive organic hydrogel formers, and the filler is at least one of a self-hardening and a non-hardening filler. Plural filling material precursor compositions that collectively contain hydrogel formers and fillers may be provided.
Abstract: An agglomerate is provided that can include an aluminosilicate (ash) base material and one or more of a binding agent or leach reduction agent. Each of the agglomerate and binding agent can include no more than about 25 wt. % cement.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to cathode materials for electrochemical energy cells, more particularly to metal/air electrochemical energy cell cathode materials containing silver vanadium oxide and methods of making and using the same. The metal/air electrochemical energy cell can be a lithium/air electrochemical energy cell. Abstract: A clamp assembly adapted for attachment to a tubular beam includes first and second grips, with each grip having and at least four curved fingers projecting radially from the central portion and curving generally in the same direction to respective distal ends. The grips are secured together in a complementary relationship with the distal ends of the fingers of the first grip aligning with the distal ends of the fingers of the second grip to define a first generally cylindrical aperture extending through the fingers in a first direction and a second generally cylindrical aperture extending through the fingers in a second direction. The first cylindrical aperture has a diameter that substantially corresponds to the diameter of the tubular beam to which the clamp assembly is to be clamped. The clamp assembly generally includes a flange for attaching auxiliary equipment to the clamp assembly.

Abstract: Sorbent compositions including sorbent particles of a small particle sized sorbent with increased pneumatic conveyance properties. The sorbent compositions have relatively small median particle size and have a controlled particle size distribution (PSD). Specifically, the sorbent compositions include a relatively small percentage of very fine particles, such as a small percentage of particles having a particle size of not greater than about 5 ?m. The sorbent compositions are particularly useful for the treatment of a flue gas stream to remove mercury from the flue gas stream.
