A right side pillar is configured to be attached to the top rail at the right end thereof and extend downwardly therefrom. A left side pillar is configured to be attached to the top rail at the left end thereof and extend downwardly therefrom. The top rail is formed with at least one T-slot that extends along the length of the top rail. At least one bracket is configured to support a lighting fixture or accessory and is attachable to the T-slot of the top rail at a desired location therealong. The T-slot is configured to permit the at least one bracket to be slid to a desired location along the top rail and secured at that location. • Patent number: 10059251
Abstract: A force-diverting tail light guard is disclosed for a vehicle having tail lights that project from the body of the vehicle with each tail light having a vehicle facing surface and a rear-facing surface joined by sides. The tail light guard has a base configured to be mounted against the body of the vehicle surrounding the tail light. The base may include a plate that at least partially covers the vehicle-facing surface of the tail light. A cage is configured to be mated to the base and at least partially covers at least the rear-facing surface of the tail light. The base and cage, when mated together around the tail light, at least partially surround the tail light. Attachment structures are disclosed for mounting the tail light guard to the body of the vehicle surrounding the tail light. The tail light guard is configured to divert external forces due to impact around the tail light and directly to the body of the vehicle to prevent impacts from breaking the tail light or rendering the tail light inoperable.

  • Patent number: 10035126
Abstract: A sorbent composition such as for the removal of a contaminant species from a fluid stream, a method for manufacturing a sorbent composition and a method for the treatment of a flue gas stream to remove heavy metals such as mercury (Hg) therefrom. The sorbent composition includes a porous carbonaceous sorbent such as powdered activated carbon (PAC) and a solid particulate additive that functions as a flow-aid to enhance the pneumatic conveyance properties of the sorbent composition. The solid particulate additive may be a flake-like material, for example a phyllosilicate minerals or graphites.

  • Patent number: 9951287
Abstract: The present invention is directed to additives for coal-fired furnaces, particularly furnaces using a layer of slag to capture coal particles for combustion. The additive(s) include iron, mineralizer(s), handling aid(s), flow aid(s), and/or abrasive material(s). The iron and mineralizers can lower the melting temperature of ash in low-iron, high alkali coals, leading to improved furnace performance.

  • Publication number: 20180105495
Abstract: A new azo-type quaternary pyridinium salt (Azo-QPS) shows enhanced activity at acidic conditions (e.g., pH=5); in neutral or basic conditions, this new Azo-QPS shows a much lower level (2-50 times less) anti-bacterial activity. The use of such a “stimulus-enhance” antibiotic can response to the proliferation of bacteria directly. It helps reduce or prevent the build-up of potent antibacterial agents in the oral environment. The antibacterial properties of Azo-QPS are “activated” when the environmental pH becomes acidic; this acidic pH may be indicative of the accumulation of Streptococcus mutans, or the initiation of tooth decay.

  • Patent number: 9931281
Abstract: A multi-functional self-healing dental composite may intrinsically repair the micro-crack and prevent the crack from propagating to catastrophic failure, thus significantly extending the service life of the restorative material. The self-healing dental composite includes a dental resin matrix, fillers, healing powder, and healing liquid containing micro-capsules distributed throughout the matrix. Each of the micro-capsules have a silica she formed by the hydrolysis condensation of TEOS in the presence of an aqueous solution of a healing liquid. The healing liquid includes a homo-polymers(s) and/or copolymer(s) of carboxylic acid(s). The healing powder particles distributed throughout the resin matrix, and include alumina, silica and other elements. The self-healing may be triggered automatically as a result of micro-cracking, induced by thereto/mechanical fatigue. During the self-healing process, antibacterial agents may be released to provide protection of the composites against cariogenic bacteria.

  • Publication number: 20180086002
Abstract: A computer-controlled method for forming a composition-controlled product using 3D printing includes disposing two or more liquid reactant compositions in respective two or more reservoirs; and mixing the two or more liquid reactant compositions, which in turn includes controlling by the computer a mass ratio of the mixed two or more liquid reactant compositions. The computer-controlled method further includes scanning, under control of the computer, a mixed liquid reactants nozzle over a substrate; depositing the mixed liquid reactant compositions onto the substrate; and operating, under control of the computer, a light source to polymerize the deposited mixed liquid reactant compositions.

  • Patent number: 9889451
Abstract: A waste gas is contacted with a mercury removal agent to remove mercury and a flue gas conditioning agent to alter a resistivity and/or cohesivity of particulates. The flue gas conditioning agent can be substantially free of SO3and/or comprise more than about 25 wt. % SO3, and/or the mercury removal agent can be substantially unaffected by the flue gas conditioning agent. An amount of mercury removed from the waste gas in the presence of the flue gas conditioning agent can be the same or more than that removed from the waste gas in the absence of the flue gas conditioning agent. An amount of the acid gas removed, by an acid gas removal agent, from the waste gas in the presence of the flue gas conditioning agent can be the same or more than that removed from the waste gas in the absence of the flue gas conditioning agent.
