Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a telecommunications wire including an electrical conductor and a dielectric insulator surrounding the electrical conductor. The dielectric insulator defines a plurality of channels defining void space containing a material having a low dielectric constant such as air. The channels each run along a length of the electrical conductor. The channels are configured to lower an overall dielectric constant of the dielectric insulator while maintaining desirable mechanical properties such as crush resistance.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a time-resolved & user-spatially-activated feedback entrance (TruSafe) graphical user interface (GUI), useful to distinguish between allowed human feedback (entrance-OPENED) and disallowed response generated by a computer (entrance-LOCKED). The TruSafe comprises (i) a cursor operable by a human and (ii) at least one cursor sensitive zone (CSZ). The cursor and the CSZ are adapted to interact according to human perceptive response over time and space, and thus transform said TruSafe from its initial entrance-LOCKED configuration to at least one different terminal entrance-OPENED configuration. The TruSafe is useful for advertisement of goods and services. The invention also presents methods for securing an entrance-OPENED configuration, and advertising an advertisement by means of a TruSafe.
Abstract: In a casting method for producing a cast part, a melt to be cast is filed into a container and the mold is connected seal-tightly to the container. The mold and the container are rotated together so that the melt flows from the container into the mold. The mold and the container are separated from another and the cast part is removed from the mold. The casting plant for performing the method has a mold that is pivotably supported about a first axis of rotation to perform a first movement that is a pivot movement in a first movement direction. A container is pivotably supported about a second axis of rotation. The mold is supported so as to be movable by a second movement in a second movement direction.
Abstract: The invention is a software system capable of managing advertisement campaigns across remote digital signage advertising participating locations. The system provides interfaces for advertisers, locations, system administrators and consumers. Central to the system is an algorithm that ensures advertising budgets are dispersed across a specified timeframe. This algorithm adapts to changes in campaign timeframes, price per advertisement impression, number of active locations, average display frequency per location and addition, revision or removal of advertisements.

The insert also has a primary filter means having an outer sidewall, a bottom surface, and a central portion, with the bottom surface contacting the bottom wall of the perforated structural member, and with the central portion contacting the raised portion of the perforated structural member.
Abstract: A system, computer program product and method are provided that smooth handwritten information following the transmission of handwritten data to a second computing device, thereby reducing the memory, processing and communications bandwidth requirements of a first computing device that captured the handwritten information. A system, computer program product and method are also provided for creating new points in the vicinity of at least some of the data points of the handwritten data after transmission of the data, thereby effectively improving the resolution of the handwritten information without increasing the memory, processing and communications bandwidth requirements of the first computing device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fibrous structure comprising at least one mat of discontinuous thermoplastic fibers partially bound together, wherein said fibers can be dyed and are transferred to one or more backup fabric structures so as to create a resistant binding between the layers while maintaining a continuous felt-like surface appearance of the assembly thus obtained. This structure can produce in a continuous manner. Upon the application of appropriate pressure and temperature, the structure provides composite materials that do not require any additional surface-finishing process.

Abstract: A system for executing a method for neutralizing an explosive device disposed within a targeted area. In operation, an artificial lightning generator of the system generates one or more electric sparks. Additionally, a spinning breakout apparatus of the system spins a spark emission point in a predetermined pattern within the targeted area, and for neutralizing the explosive device, discharges the electric spark(s) into the targeted area via the spark emission point.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for measurement of flow velocity using the transmission of a sequence of coherent pulsed ultrasonic signals into the flow, and sampling the received response signal at a predetermined delay time relative to the pulse transmission that does not correspond to the signal transmission time. The sampling may be coherent with a frequency offset from the coherency frequency of the pulses. The received signal samples are then spectrally processed, typically by a Fourier process, to generate a frequency domain data set. A threshold technique is used on the frequency domain data set to determine a peak Doppler shift. Average velocity is then obtained by multiplying the peak Doppler shift by a factor, for example, 0.90. In one embodiment, the transmit pulse and receive samples are interleaved by alternating between transmitting a pulse and, after a delay, sampling the received signal.
Abstract: A data transmission device has a network, a mobile data transmission unit, and a driver. The network has at least two access points for establishing a wireless connection to the data transmission unit. The data transmission unit has an application generating user data, wherein the application is connected by an interface to the driver. The data transmission unit has at least two modules for transmitting data, wherein the at least two modules are connected to the driver. The data transmission unit has a switching device for switching between the at least two modules. The switching device operates such that in any switching state of the switching device user data generated by the application are transmitted by only one of the at least two modules.

Abstract: An electro-optic device includes a substrate a metal thin film pattern formed on the substrate, and a transparent electrode pattern formed to cover the metal thin film pattern, wherein one side of the metal thin film pattern is formed to be exposed to the outside of the transparent electrode pattern. Therefore, a uniform current can flow through the transparent electrode pattern by providing a supply voltage to the metal thin film pattern and thus it is possible to manufacture the electro-optic device having uniform luminance.

Abstract: Provided are a method for manufacturing a transparent electrode pattern and a method for manufacturing an electro-optic device having the transparent electrode pattern. The method for manufacturing the transparent electrode pattern includes forming a transparent electrode on a light-transmissive substrate, patterning the transparent electrode by removing a portion of the transparent electrode, and forming an insulating protective layer in an edge region of the patterned transparent electrode through a printing process. In accordance with the method, the insulating protective layer is formed in the edge region of the patterned transparent electrode through the printing process so that an apparatus and method for manufacturing the insulating protective layer can be simplified, resulting in a decrease in manufacturing cost.

Abstract: A gas injection unit and a thin film deposition apparatus having the gas injection unit are provided. Since a variety of different kinds of organic materials can be sequentially vaporized and injected by a single injection unit, a variety of different kinds of thin films can be deposited in a single chamber. Furthermore, the gas injection structure of the injector unit can be easily controlled. Therefore, even when the process conditions such as the size of the substrate, the process temperature of the chamber, and the like are altered, it becomes possible to actively response to the altered process conditions by simply replacing some parts without replacing the whole injector unit.
Abstract: Provided are an organic light emitting diode (OLED) and a method for manufacturing the same. The method for manufacturing the OLED includes forming a first electrode on a substrate using a metal paste, forming an organic thin film on the first electrode, and depositing a second electrode on the organic thin film. Herein, the second electrode includes a transparent conductive oxide.
