Abstract: Provided are a method for manufacturing a transparent electrode pattern and a method for manufacturing an electro-optic device having the transparent electrode pattern. The method for manufacturing the transparent electrode pattern includes forming a transparent electrode on a light-transmissive substrate, patterning the transparent electrode by removing a portion of the transparent electrode, and forming an insulating protective layer in an edge region of the patterned transparent electrode through a printing process. In accordance with the method, the insulating protective layer is formed in the edge region of the patterned transparent electrode through the printing process so that an apparatus and method for manufacturing the insulating protective layer can be simplified, resulting in a decrease in manufacturing cost.

  • Publication number: 20090161216
Abstract: Provided are a display device including a fluid buffer layer and a method for manufacturing the same. The display device includes a display device layer, a passivation layer, an encapsulation layer, and a fluid buffer layer. The display device layer is disposed on one surface of a substrate. The passivation layer is disposed on the display device layer. The encapsulation layer has a cup-shaped internal space to protect the display device layer. The fluid buffer layer is formed on at least one of the top and the side of the passivation layer formed on the display device layer. Because the fluid buffer layer is formed on the display device layer, oxygen and moisture are prevented from flowing into the display device layer, thus suppressing the device lifetime reduction. Also, an external physical impact is absorbed by the fluid buffer layer, thus minimizing the damage to the display device.

Abstract: A fractional response allocation system is designed to accurately measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and programs. It determines the impact of each marketing event that has influenced a customer's purchase by allocating some amount of credit towards the customer purchase for each of the existing open marketing campaigns present during the customer's purchase window. The system factors the recency of the campaign, the mechanism through which the campaign was promoted, the relationship between products promoted and products purchased into the amount of credit any sign campaign is given towards a single customer purchase. Other factors unique to a given industry and/or business can be taken into account when assigning credit to any given promotion.

  • Publication number: 20080289790
Abstract: In a casting method for producing a cast part, a melt to be cast is filed into a container and the mold is connected seal-tightly to the container. The mold and the container are rotated together so that the melt flows from the container into the mold. The mold and the container are separated from another and the cast part is removed from the mold. The casting plant for performing the method has a mold that is pivotably supported about a first axis of rotation to perform a first movement that is a pivot movement in a first movement direction. A container is pivotably supported about a second axis of rotation. The mold is supported so as to be movable by a second movement in a second movement direction.

  • Patent number: 7424374
Abstract: A method and system for analyzing flow of a substance in a sewer system determines a first flow velocity at a first location and a second flow velocity at a second location. Using a processor, the travel time between the two locations is determined using only the flow velocities and a constant. The travel time may then be used to provide a substantially accurate determination of net flow between the two locations.

  • Publication number: 20070112579
Abstract: A market management system is designed to manage energy industry standardized transactions between energy providers and utility distribution customers. The system includes business process and transaction validations along with transaction tracking. The market management system processes transactions in its own data format but stores the transactions in a client's customer information system (CIS) using the CIS's data format. Using only the CIS database for transaction storage eliminates the need to synchronize transaction records in the CIS database with records in a market management database. Exception management is integrated with the CIS to eliminate duplication of effort. The market management system's functionality is scalable such that varying levels of service may be provided to customers. Predetermined business rules may be customized for the purpose of validating transactions.

  • Patent number: 6825813
Abstract: An antenna assembly is formed from at least one antenna and associated conductive connecting element (wires, conductive gel or liquid, etc.) mounted within a deformable membrane that allows the antenna assembly to be installed or fixed within a narrow gap or crevice, wherein the gap or crevice may be subject to harsh environmental conditions. The gap or crevice is preferably a gap or crevice in a closure. The antenna assembly typically has a low profile, and is installed either flush with or within a traffic surface or within ¼″ above the surface. The deformable membrane will yield under force, but return to its original shape once the force is removed. The deformable membrane and antenna assembly will deform to conform to the shape of a gap or crevice into which the antenna assembly is installed.
