Abstract: A lane recognition method and a lane recognition device operate such that when a travel lane of a vehicle is recognized by performing cross-check between first boundary information about a boundary dividing lanes acquired from map information and second boundary information about the boundary dividing the lanes acquired from a detection device of the vehicle, a movable center line is detected from at least one of the first boundary information and the second boundary information. The movable center line is a center line that can move in a width direction of a road on which the vehicle travels. When the movable center line is detected, the cross-check between the first boundary information and the second boundary information is not performed on one of a right side and a left side of the vehicle on which the movable center line is detected.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for inspection, under a microscope, of end connectors of fiber optic cables are provided. In one aspect, a light ring including a circular array of light sources provides darkfield illumination to an end connector being inspected under a microscope. Each of the light sources may be lit in series and the resulting shadows may be used to identify dirt on the end connector, as well as to determine whether any dirt identified on the end connector can be cleaned off. In another aspect, a light ring combined with a redirection ring (e.g., a reflector and/or refractor ring) may provide darkfield illumination. In yet another aspect, a series of images may be captured and analyzed to automatically identify dirt on the end connector, as well as to determine whether any identified dirt can be cleaned off.

The dummy die includes: a dummy substrate comprising a trench formed in a top surface of the dummy substrate, extended in a first direction and a second direction, and having a shape of checkerboard; and an oxide layer on a bottom surface of the dummy substrate. At least one of the plurality of semiconductor dies includes: a substrate, an upper passivation layer and a lower passivation layer. The oxide layer is in direct contact with the upper passivation layer of an uppermost one of the plurality of semiconductor dies. A level of a bottom surface of the trench is higher than a level of the bottom surface of the dummy substrate.
Abstract: A semiconductor device has a first semiconductor die and second semiconductor die with a conductive layer formed over the first semiconductor die and second semiconductor die. The second semiconductor die is disposed adjacent to the first semiconductor die with a side surface and the conductive layer of the first semiconductor die contacting a side surface and the conductive layer of the second semiconductor die. An interconnect, such as a conductive material, is formed across a junction between the conductive layers of the first and second semiconductor die. The conductive layer may extend down the side surface of the first semiconductor die and further down the side surface of the second semiconductor die. An extension of the side surface of the first semiconductor die can interlock with a recess of the side surface of the second semiconductor die. The conductive layer extends over the extension and into the recess.

Abstract: A motor vehicle provides wireless charging to a mobile wireless device outside of the vehicle. After a request by a person outside the vehicle, a wireless power transmitter initiates remote charging of the mobile wireless device. A vehicle controller is configured to respond to the charging request by (A) attempting one or more times to communicate with the mobile wireless device until a link is established, (B) before the link is established then activating the wireless power transmitter to remotely charge the mobile wireless device, (C) when the link is established then determining whether the mobile wireless device corresponds to a pre-established communal group, and (D) deactivating the wireless power transmitter when the mobile wireless device does not correspond to a pre-established communal group. Consequently, the power reserve in a vehicle battery is protected against depletion.
