A central channel in the first segment and the second segment allows the anchor to be advanced along the stimulation lead from a proximal end toward the distal end while in the collapsed configuration. The central channel of each segment grips onto the stimulation lead in the deployed configuration so that the segment does not move from a deployed position on the stimulation lead.
