  • Publication number: 20130138977
Abstract: Briefly, a method and apparatus adjusts the power consumption level of an integrated circuit by dynamically scaling the clock frequency based on the real-time determined power consumption level. In one example, the method and apparatus changes an actual clock frequency of the integrated circuit to an effective clock frequency based on the maximum clock frequency and the difference between the threshold power consumption level and the actual power consumption level of the integrated circuit in the previous sampling interval. In one example, an effective clock frequency of the integrated circuit in the current sampling interval is determined. In one example, the difference between the maximum and effective clock frequencies in the current sampling interval is proportional to the difference between the threshold and actual power consumption levels in the previous sampling interval. The actual clock frequency of the integrated circuit is changed to the determined effective clock frequency.

  • Publication number: 20130130484
Abstract: An ion implanter and an ion implant method are disclosed. Essentially, the wafer is moved along one direction and an aperture mechanism having an aperture is moved along another direction, so that the projected area of an ion beam filtered by the aperture is two-dimensionally scanned over the wafer. Thus, the required hardware and/or operation to move the wafer may be simplified. Further, when a ribbon ion beam is provided, the shape/size of the aperture may be similar to the size/shape of a traditional spot beam, so that a traditional two-dimensional scan may be achieved. Optionally, the ion beam path may be fixed without scanning the ion beam when the ion beam is to be implanted into the wafer, also the area of the aperture may be adjustable during a period of moving the aperture across the ion beam.

Abstract: An integrated circuit device can include a number of test structures, whereby each test structure includes a TSV and a plurality of devices-under-test (DUTs). Each of the DUTs in a test structure has a different positional relationship, such as proximity or orientation, to the TSV. A test system can measure selected parameters such as transistor threshold voltage, leakage current, or other parameters, for each of the DUTs in the test structure. The measurements for different test structures can be combined to characterize nominal values of the measured parameter and its statistical distribution. This information provides an indication of how the measured parameter varies according to the positional relationship of a TSV to a DUT.

Abstract: A three dimensional imaging camera comprises a system controller, pulsed laser transmitter, receiving optics, an infrared focal plane array light detector, and an image processor. The described invention is capable of developing a complete 3-D scene from a single point of view. The 3-D imaging camera utilizes a pulsed laser transmitter capable of illuminating an entire scene with a single high power flash of light. The 3-D imaging camera employs a system controller to trigger a pulse of high intensity light from the pulsed laser transmitter, and counts the time from the start of the transmitter light pulse. The light reflected from the illuminated scene impinges on a receiving optics and is detected by a focal plane array optical detector. Abstract: Systems and methods for assessment of sleep quality in adults and children are provided. These techniques include an apparatus worn above the forehead containing the circuitry for collecting and storing physiological signals. The apparatus integrates with a sensor strip and a nasal mask to obtain the physiological signals for the user. The form factor of this apparatus is comfortable, easy to self-apply, and results in less data artifacts than conventional techniques for capturing physiological data for analyzing sleep quality. Neuro-respiratory signals are analyzed using means to extract more accurate definitions of the frequency and severity of sleep discontinuity, sleep disordered breathing and patterns of sleep architecture. Biological biomarkers and questionnaire responses can also be compared to a database of healthy and chronically diseased patients to provide a more accurate differential diagnosis and to help determine the appropriate disease management recommendations.
