Abstract: This invention provides an electronic circuit component authenticity determination method capable of determining whether an electronic circuit component is a component manufactured by an authorized manufacturer. The electronic circuit component is operated under a predetermined condition at the time of manufacturing or initialization of the electronic circuit component. The waveform of power consumption or an electromagnetic wave at the time of the operation is measured and stored as first waveform data. An authenticity determination target electronic circuit component is operated under the predetermined condition. The waveform of power consumption or an electromagnetic wave is measured and temporarily stored as second waveform data. The stored first waveform data is compared with the second waveform data. It is determined that the electronic circuit component is a genuine when the waveform data match.

Abstract: Systems and methods for assessment of sleep quality in adults and children are provided. These techniques include an apparatus worn above the forehead containing the circuitry for collecting and storing physiological signals. The apparatus integrates with a sensor strip and a nasal mask to obtain the physiological signals for the user. The form factor of this apparatus is comfortable, easy to self-apply, and results in less data artifacts than conventional techniques for capturing physiological data for analyzing sleep quality. Neuro-respiratory signals are analyzed using means to extract more accurate definitions of the frequency and severity of sleep discontinuity, sleep disordered breathing and patterns of sleep architecture. Biological biomarkers and questionnaire responses can also be compared to a database of healthy and chronically diseased patients to provide a more accurate differential diagnosis and to help determine the appropriate disease management recommendations.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for power control in a processor. The apparatus comprises a plurality of operational units arranged as a group of operational units. A power consumption monitor determines when cumulative power consumption of the group of operational units exceeds a threshold (e.g., either or both of the cumulative power threshold and the cumulative power rate threshold) during a time interval, after which a filter for issuing instructions to the group of operational units suspends instruction issuance to the group of operational units for the remainder of the time interval. The method comprises monitoring cumulative power consumption by a group of operational units within a processor over a time interval. If the cumulative power consumption of the group of operational units exceeds the threshold, instruction issuance to the group of operational units is suspended for the remainder of the time interval.
