Abstract: The present invention provides a semiconductor device manufacturing method for lowering the technical difficulties of a process forming a horizontal single crystal nanowire and a manufacturing cost, the semiconductor device manufacturing method comprising the steps of: preparing a substrate including a first area and a second area; determining a position at which a nanowire is to be formed on the substrate of the first area and arranging an empty space in which the nanowire is to be filled; exposing a substrate surface of a part adjacent to the first area; causing selective single crystal growth from the exposed substrate surface; and forming a nanowire by a self-aligned method through an etching process within the first area, and removing, from outside the first area, a single crystal growth layer of the remaining areas excluding a part necessary for the wiring of the second area.

Abstract: A device for reading a message includes a reader to read biometric data of a holder of the medium and a scanner to capture, on a medium, an encoded message having elementary message units. The message includes a noise that consists of marking defects of the message on the medium which are random and unpredictable for each elementary message unit. A noise reducer to reduce the noise of the captured message based on biometric data. A decoder to decode at least one portion of the message in which the noise has been at least partially removed. Preferably, the decoder utilizes redundancies of the message with the noise removed to determine at least one portion of the encoded message.

Abstract: A circuit adapts to the occurrence of metastable states. The circuit inhibits passing of the metastable state to circuits that follow, by clock gating the output stage. In order to determine whether or not to gate the clock of the output stage, two detect circuits may be used. One circuit detects metastability and another circuit detects metastability resolved to a wrong logic level. The results from one or both detector circuits are used to gate the next clock cycle if needed, waiting for the metastable situation to be resolved.
Abstract: A method for producing agglomerated tantalum particles, comprising: a step for grinding secondary tantalum particles, which are obtained by reducing a tantalum salt, and adding water thereto to give a water-containing mass; a step for drying said water-containing mass to give a dry mass; a step for sieving said dry mass to give spherical particles; and a step for heating said spherical particles. Abstract: Techniques for improving translation lookaside buffer (TLB) operation are disclosed. A particular entry of the TLB is to be updated with data associated with a large page size. The TLB updates replacement policy data for that TLB entry for that large page size to indicate that the TLB entry is not the least-recently-used. To prevent smaller pages from evicting the TLB entry for the large page size, the TLB also updates replacement policy data for that TLB entry for the smaller page size to indicate that the TLB entry is not the least-recently-used.
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle includes a body portion, a plurality of driving portions, a plurality of arms and first and second landing members. The body portion is formed at a center thereof, and the body portion includes an inner space defined by an upper plate, a lower plate and a plurality of supporting frames that connect the upper plate with the lower plate. Abstract: A system and method for load queue (LDQ) and store queue (STQ) entry allocations at address generation time that maintains age-order of instructions is described. In particular, writing LDQ and STQ entries are delayed until address generation time. This allows the load and store operations to dispatch, and younger operations (which may not be store and load operations) to also dispatch and execute their instructions. The address generation of the load or store operation is held at an address generation scheduler queue (AGSQ) until a load or store queue entry is available for the operation. The tracking of load queue entries or store queue entries is effectively being done in the AGSQ instead of at the decode engine. The LDQ and STQ depth is not visible from a decode engine's perspective, and increases the effective processing and queue depth.
