Abstract: An image chat application generates comments to images based on features of the images. In one example, the image chat application searches through a repository of stored image-comment pairs to identify a stored image that is similar to the image, and generates a comment to the image based on an identified stored image-comment pair. In another example, the image chat application may identify and tag particular objects that dominate an image, and may generate a comment to the image based on characteristics of those particular objects. In this second example, the image chat application further generates a comment to the image based on comments previously associated with the identified tag.

Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe electronic document generation, where an electronic document of an application/service may be dynamically generated in a manner that is tailored specifically for a user. A query may be received that comprises a topic for generation of a slide-based visual presentation. The query is processed. In some examples, slide content suggestions may be generated and presented to a user based on the query processing. Content for a processed query may be retrieved by a plurality of data service providers that are connected with the visual presentation service via a distributed network. An electronic document may be generated for the slide-based visual presentation. The electronic document is specifically tailored for a user and dynamically generated based on one or more of: the processing of the query, the retrieved content, a selection of one or more slide content suggestions and an evaluation of signal data associated with the user.

Abstract: A heat pipe assembly of a nuclear apparatus includes a number of elongated heat pipes and a detection system having one or more fiber optic cable assemblies that are elongated and are wrapped in a helical fashion along an exterior surface of one or more of the heat pipes. The detection system further includes an optical signal generator that supplies to each, fiber optic assembly an optical signal and additionally includes a sensor that detects a number of reflections of the optical signal and generates an output. The output is usable by an instrumentation and control system to determine a number of temperatures along one or more of the heat tubes by detecting a temperature at each of a plurality of locations along each fiber optic cable assembly.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for verification of data, including updates to applications, firmware, operating system libraries or other such data. This may be done through the use of a distributed ledger system to provide a secure anti-tamper mechanism for software and firmware updates that may be independently accessed and verified by any device. Distributed ledger systems, sometimes referred to as block chains, are online data storage systems with cryptography-based architecture providing links between records stored in “blocks”. Each block contains a hash of a previous block, providing a chain of linked blocks that are immutable: any alteration of a record changes the hash of the subsequent block, which changes the hash of the next subsequent block, etc. Accordingly, any modification of data is easily detectable.
Abstract: A system includes a location determining circuit configured to acquire position information of a vehicle system moving along a route. The system also includes a controller circuit having one or more processors. The controller circuit is configured to calculate curvatures of the route, based at least in part on the position information, to form a curvature waveform. The controller circuit is further configured to generate a route map based on the curvature waveform.
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to a head-worn computer having a see-through computer display, a frame mechanically adapted to hold the see-through computer, a first side arm pivotally attached to the frame and adapted to hold the head-worn computer in place on a head of the user, wherein the first side arm comprises a temple section and an ear horn section and the temple section further comprising a compartment adapted to contain a battery, wherein the battery powers the see-through computer display.

Abstract: In some implementations, a substrate for coupling to an integrated circuit includes multiple layers. Each of the multiple layers has, in a particular region of the substrate, a repeating pattern of regions corresponding to power and ground. The multiple layers include (i) a top layer having, in the particular region, power contacts and ground contacts for coupling to an integrated circuit and (ii) a bottom layer having, in the particular region, power contacts and ground contacts for coupling to another device. At least one layer of the multiple layers has a repeating pattern of signal traces that extend along and are located between the regions corresponding to ground in the at least one layer.
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses disclosed herein for improved mobile app security testing via bridged native and web user interface interaction. In one example embodiment, a method is provided comprising receiving, by a security instrumentation system, an app for analysis, and discovering, by the security instrumentation system, one or more user interface elements provided by the app. Thereafter, interrogating, by the security instrumentation system, the one or more user interface elements provided by the app and serializing, by the security instrumentation system, the one or more user interface elements. In some embodiments, after serializing the one or more user interface elements, causing presentation of the serialized one or more interface elements via a web browser.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods that are useful in control of one or more aspects of a power production plant. More particularly, the disclosure relates to power production plants, methods of starting power production plants, and methods of generating power with a power production plant wherein one or more control paths are utilized for automated control of at least one action. The present disclosure more particularly relates to power production plants, control systems for power production plants, and methods for startup of a power production plant.
Abstract: In various embodiments, a method and apparatus are configured to receive information associated with a path from a first node to a second node; and generate a set of one or more segment identifiers at least one of which is in an address space having a span in a current region in which the first node resides, and is configured for use in identifying a next region, wherein the set of one or more segment identifiers encodes the path.
Abstract: A machine-assisted method for verifying a video presence that includes: receiving, at a computing device of an identity provider, an authentication request initially sent from a requester to access an account managed by a relying party, different from the identity provider; retrieving, from the authentication request, at least a portion of a video stream feed initially from the requester, to the computing device, the portion of video stream feed portraying a face of the requester; extracting the face of the requester from the portion of the video stream feed; providing a directive to the requester soliciting a corresponding gesture; and receiving a response gesture from the requester.
Abstract: This system invention relates to the use of short hop communications to transfer data between 2 modules inside a well. A system deployed in a well permanently or semi-permanently collects data from downhole parameters such as pressure, temperature, vibration, flow and fluid identification and stores the information in the system memory. The receiver module is deployed in the well via slick line, electric line or coil tubing with the purpose of retrieving the data from the system memory by interfacing with the downhole module via wireless short hop communications. The receiver module can also send commands into the downhole module to change its data collection parameters. Upon completion of the data transfer, the collector is returned to the surface where the data is again wirelessly transferred to a processing system such as a Personal Computer.

Abstract: Essentially coincident with the capture of an image by the imaging device, biometric information indicating the identity of the operator of the device is obtained from at least one biometric sensor. The biometric information and captured image are then stored in a manner reliably associating each with the other. At a later time, biometric information is obtained from a supposed operator of the imaging device. By comparing this candidate biometric information with the stored biometric information, the supposed operator may be authenticated as the operator of the imaging device at the time of capture of the stored image.
