  • Patent number: 11882406
Abstract: Hearing instruments, such as hearing aids, may improve a quality of presented audio through the use of a binaural application, such as beamforming. The binaural application may require communication between the hearing instruments so that audio from a left hearing instrument may be combined with audio from a right hearing instrument. The combining at a hearing instrument can require synchronizing audio sampled locally with sampled audio received from wireless communication. This synchronization may cause a noticeable delay of an output of the binaural application if the latency of the wireless communication is not low (e.g., a few samples of delay). Presented herein is a low-latency communication protocol that communicates packets on a sample-by-sample basis and that compensates for delays caused by overhead protocol data transmitted with the audio data.

  • Patent number: 11882217
Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating surgical tools for use in a surgical operation by a robotic surgical system are described herein. The authentication systems and methods include status lists for surgical tools associated with surgical systems. The status lists indicate an allowed or disallowed status of each surgical tool. The status list is stored on a cloud-computing system and shared with various surgical systems at different geographic locations. Prior to performing a surgical operation or at other times, the surgical systems decrypt tool data received from a surgical tool to access identifying information and access a tool status from the status list based on the tool data. The surgical systems then proceed based on the status of the surgical tool in the status list.

  • Patent number: 11882224
Abstract: A method for signing data such as software images is provided that uses modules executable by a generic client to sign hashes of the software images rather than the images themselves. The method avoids both the requirement for new or updated client software and the uploading of full software images to the signing system. This approach uses a generic client that requests and downloads processing modules from the signing system to perform the pre-processing operations in signing software images, as well as optionally for post-processing operations.

  • Patent number: 11878974
Abstract: Bromocriptine citrate administered to a vertebrate, animal or human, can be used for any purpose including, e.g., the long-term modification and regulation of metabolic disorders, including prediabetes, obesity, insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, hyperglycemia and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and/or, e.g., the treatment of other medical disorder(s) including immune or endocrine disorders or diseases. Bromocriptine citrate is administered over a limited or extended period at a time of day dependent on re-establishing the normal circadian rhythm of central dopaminergic activity of healthy members of a similar species and sex. Insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia and hyperglycemia, T2DM, prediabetes, MS or all, can be controlled in humans on a long term basis by such treatment inasmuch as the daily administration of bromocriptine citrate resets neuronal activity timing in the neural centers of the brain to produce long term effects.
