Abstract: An assembly having a coupling component and a poppet is disclosed. The coupling component has a first end. The first end has an opening extending into the coupling component, such that the coupling component has a sidewall extending around and defining the opening, the sidewall at least partially constructed of a ductile material. The poppet is positioned within the opening. The poppet has a first end outside of the opening, a second end within the opening, and an outer surface extending between the first end and the second end. The poppet has a recess positioned between the first end and the second end, the recess being defined by at least one sidewall and a bottom. At least a portion of the ductile material of the sidewall is positioned within the recess to secure the poppet into the opening.

Abstract: This disclosure covers systems and methods that retrieve and transform a requested dataset into a data shape that a widget specifies for visualization. In certain embodiments, the disclosed systems and methods respond to data requests for widgets by retrieving datasets formatted according to different data models for different platforms. The systems and methods then transform the datasets into a data shape specified by the widgets. By transforming requested datasets to conform to data shapes specified by widgets, the disclosed systems and methods orchestrate the update of a widget (or multiple instances of a widget) with data that originally conformed to different data models and, in some cases, was formatted for different software applications.

Abstract: One example method includes, for each document in a group of annotated documents, extracting a set of words from the annotated document, and each of the words is positioned in a respective field of the annotated document. The method further includes using an aggregation function to determine, for one of the fields, a similarity of each one of the annotated documents to all of the other annotated documents, creating a document layout graph with nodes that each correspond to a respective annotated document, and each node is connected to all other nodes for which a similarity threshold for the one field has been met, and running an algorithm on the document layout graph to identify a clique of the annotated documents, and each annotated document in the clique has a similar layout to respective layouts of the other annotated documents in the clique.

Abstract: Techniques for enabling efficient guest OS access to PCIe configuration space are provided. In one set of embodiments, a hypervisor can reserve a single host physical memory page in the host physical memory of a host system and can populate the single host physical memory page with a value indicating non-presence of PCIe device functions. The hypervisor can then create, for each guest physical memory page in a guest physical memory of a virtual machine (VM) corresponding to a PCIe configuration space of an absent PCIe device function in the VM, a mapping in the hypervisor's second-level page tables that maps the guest physical memory page to the single host physical memory page.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a mobile communication device is in communication with a network. During operation, the mobile communication device executes a monitor application associated with embedded SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) information downloaded to programmable hardware of the mobile communication device. The monitor application is received as a portion of the embedded SIM information. Via the executed monitor application: the monitor application monitors a status of the embedded SIM information and then communicates the status over a network to a remote communication management resource.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer-readable storage devices, for robot navigation using 2D and 3D path planning. In the disclosed method, a robot accesses map data indicating two-dimensional layout of objects in a space and evaluates candidate paths for the robot to traverse. In response to determining that the candidate paths do not include a collision-free path across the space for a two-dimensional profile of the robot, the robot evaluates a three-dimensional shape of the robot with respect to a three-dimensional shape of an object in the space. Based on the evaluation of the three-dimensional shapes, the robot determines a collision-free path to traverse through the space.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a network management system for managing a logical network that spans multiple physical sites. The network management system includes a global network manager for receiving global logical network configuration data for the multiple physical sites. The network management system includes, at each of the physical sites, (i) a local network manager for receiving a logical network configuration for the physical site from the global network manager and (ii) a set of central controllers for distributing logical network configuration data to computing devices that implement the logical network at the physical site.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing error detection in a network, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing error and/or fault detection in a network and/or media stream and providing options to address the error and/or fault in the network and/or media stream. In various embodiments, a computer might detect an error in a first network and send a notification indicating that the error has occurred. The notification might contain one or more options to address the error in the first network. The computer, a user device, a service provider device, or a content provider device might receive and display the notification containing the one or more options. The computer, the user device, the service provider device, or the content provider device might then select at least one of the one or more options to address the error in the first network.

Abstract: Implementations selectively offload visual frames from a client device to an edge system for processing. The client device can receive streaming visual frames and a request to process the visual frames using a data service. The client device can offload visual frames to an edge system preloaded with a workload resource that corresponds to the requested data service. After the edge system processes the offloaded visual frames using the workload resource, the edge system can return the processed visual frame to the client device. In some implementations, the edge system and client device are situated in a network such that a latency for the offload communications support real-time video display. A cloud system can maintain a registry of edge systems and provide client devices with information about nearby edge systems. The cloud system can also preload the edge systems with workload resources that correspond to data services.

Abstract: In embodiments of multi-device pairing and combined display, mobile devices have device touchscreens, and housing bezels of the mobile devices can be positioned proximate each other to form a combined display from the respective device touchscreens. An input recognition system can recognize an input to initiate pairing the mobile devices, enabling a cross-screen display of an interface on the respective device touchscreens, such as with different parts of the interface displayed on different ones of the device touchscreens. The input to initiate pairing the mobile devices can be recognized as the proximity of the mobile devices, as a gesture input, as a sensor input, and/or as a voice-activated input to initiate the pairing of the mobile devices for the cross-screen display of the interface.

Abstract: A system for a vehicle includes a rear gate assembly of the vehicle that includes a closure panel operable to pivot vehicle-downward from a closed position to an open position. The system also includes a support feature coupled to the closure panel and operable to move relative to the closure panel between a retracted position and a deployed position. In the open position of the closure panel, the position of the support feature in the deployed position is further vehicle-downward than the position of the support feature in the retracted position. The system also includes a sensing system of the vehicle that detects a living being proximate to the rear gate assembly. The system further includes a controller that authenticates an identity and determines a position of the living being based on data received from the sensing system and prompts movement of the support feature from the retracted position to the deployed position based on the authenticated identity and determined position of the living being.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method instantiates a proxy that stores first state information for first workloads running on a first computing device. The first computing device receives a migrated workload from a second computing device and second state information for a session associated with the migrated workload. The second state information is generated by a proxy on the second computing device that processed one or more packets for the migrated workload on the second computing device. The method stories the second state information for the proxy on the first computing device and resumes the session associated with the migrated workload using the proxy on the first computing device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a system, a method and a device for switching between different communications protocols. A head wearable display can transmit, to a console during a first session interval, a first request to switch from a first link using a first communication protocol to a second link using a second communication protocol. The first request can include at least one characteristic of the first link. The head wearable display can receive, from the console, a first response to the first request, to perform a switch from the first link to the second link. The first response can indicate a wake up time and a second session interval to perform the switch. The head wearable display can switch from the first link to the second link in the second session interval and after the wake up time.

Abstract: According to one configuration, while the user equipment is wirelessly connected to a first wireless base station over a first wireless communication link, a communication management resource in the user equipment receives input (such as a request) to tune-away the user equipment to a second wireless base station providing corresponding wireless services. To facilitate the temporary tune-away to the second wireless network, the communication management resource of the user equipment generates timing information associated with the switchover. In furtherance of the switchover (temporary tune-away) to the second wireless base station, the communication management resource of the user equipment transmits the timing information in a wireless communication over the first wireless communication link to the first wireless base station.

Abstract: Described is hard link handling when a directory snapshot exists that includes the hard link's connected file object. A hard link is created by allocating a virtual inode number for the hard link, with the virtual inode number mapped to a real inode number that identifies a real inode of the file object; the hard link is assigned weight. A total weight associated with the real inode is increased by the hard link weight, and a hard link data store is updated with an entry for the hard link. Upon receiving data write request to the hard link, weight data determines that the file object is shared as a result of the snapshot; the hard link is disassociated from the real inode file, and associated with a new real inode number and new real inode of a new file object. The data is written based on the new real inode.
