Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for personal taste recommendation. In one implementation, an image set is obtained at a recommendation system. The image set has at least one image of a wine list menu having one or more wines for a dining location, and the image set is captured using a camera of a user device. An identified wine is generated for each of the one or more wines on the wine list menu based on a match to a known wine. A personalized wine menu unique to a particular user set for the dining location is generated by generating a personalized taste match of the particular user set for each of the one or more identified wines.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for adapting a language model are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving transcriptions of utterances that were received by computing devices operating in a domain and that are in a source language. The actions further include generating translated transcriptions of the transcriptions of the utterances in a target language. The actions further include receiving a language model for the target language. The actions further include biasing the language model for the target language by increasing the likelihood of the language model selecting terms included in the translated transcriptions. The actions further include generating a transcription of an utterance in the target language using the biased language model and while operating in the domain.

The components may include an engine and associated local controller and sensors, a transmission connected to the engine, transmission sensors, and a pump connected to the transmission and powered by the engine via the transmission and associated local controller and sensors. A supervisory controller may control the hydraulic fracturing units. The supervisory controller may be in communication with components of each hydraulic fracturing unit. The supervisory controller may include instructions to, for each hydraulic fracturing units, obtain hydraulic fracturing unit parameters, determine a hydraulic fracturing unit health assessment, and build a hydraulic unit profile including the health assessment and parameters.

Abstract: Coated grain oriented electrical steel plates and methods of producing the same are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a method includes producing molten steel with from about 2.5 to about 4 weight percent silicon, from about 0.005 to about 0.1 weight percent carbon, and from about 90 to about 97.5 weight percent iron. The molten steel is cast into a slab and then cold rolled into a plate having a surface. The plate is decarbonized using a decarbonization anneal, and then recrystallized using a recrystallization anneal to produce grain oriented electrical steel. A coating is applied overlying the surface, where the coating includes an organic radiation curable crosslinking agent and a photo-initiator. The coating is cured by exposing it to a radiation source.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for network strengthening, such as by detecting issues with one or more network components and reconfiguring one or more upstream or downstream network components to preempt issues with the one or more upstream or downstream network components, for instance. Some embodiments are particularly directed to a tool (e.g., strengthening agent) that implements pre-scripted or dynamic hardening of up and downstream dependencies of a network component in response to an issue identified with the network component. In many embodiments, up and downstream components of a network component may be reconfigured while the issue with the network component is being addressed to preempt issues with the up and downstream components.

Abstract: A portable sensing device may be deployed for determining at least one stability metric of a vessel. The sensing device may include one or more motion sensors for sensing motion of the vessel, one or more freeboard sensors for determining a freeboard of the vessel, and a computing system for processing motion data from the one or more motion sensors and freeboard data from the one or more freeboard sensors to determine the at least one stability metric. The computing system may be programmed to transform the motion data from time domain motion data to frequency domain motion data and process the frequency domain motion data to determine the at least one stability metric of the vessel and the freeboard of the vessel.

Abstract: One aspect of this disclosure includes a method for operating a head-mounted display system that includes an imaging device. The method includes receiving an indication that an ambient light condition in an environment is below a lighting threshold. Responsive to the low lighting condition, an amount of motion of the head-mounted display relative to the environment is determined based on one or more signals received from an inertial measurement unit included in the head-mounted display system. An exposure time, frame rate, and a pixel-binning mode are automatically selected for the imaging device based on the determined amount of motion. Imagery is captured from the environment using the automatically selected exposure time, frame rate, and pixel-binning mode for the imaging device. The captured imagery is then displayed at the head-mounted display system.

Abstract: A ruggedized programable switch accepts multiple forms of current from a plurality of sources and thereafter conditions and balances the current to provide a reliable common grounding plane of current for an end user. The common plane reduces electrical noise and interference through grounding loops preventing crosstalk between adjacent circuits while prioritizing current sources feeding the common plane. Components necessary to provide such a common plane of current are housed within a sealed, ruggedized protective housing. The housing passively conveys heat generated by the interiorly protected components to a plurality of heat dissipating fins and channels on the housing's exterior maintaining the device's operational capability.
