Abstract: A gear forming tool includes an outer sleeve having an outer sleeve aperture and an inner sleeve having an inner sleeve aperture in fluid communication with the outer sleeve aperture, a tool holder disposed within the outer sleeve, and a 3D printed gear cutting tool with a plurality of tool cutting edges and a plurality of capillaries attached to the tool holder. The tool holder has a plurality of fluid channels configured to be in fluid communication with the inner sleeve aperture and the plurality of capillaries of the 3D printed gear cutting tool such that cutting fluid flows through the outer sleeve, the inner sleeve, the plurality of fluid channels of the tool holder, and the plurality of capillaries to the plurality of tool cutting edges.

Abstract: A sports helmet kit has a shell, attachable face guard, composite helmet liner, and fit pods to improve and customize the fit of the helmet to the wearer. The composite liner consists of a base liner and a selected group of fit elements, for example, fit pods, removably attached to the inner surface of the base liner (i.e., the surface of the base liner facing the wearer's head). The fit pods are selected from a set of fit pods having different properties, for example, different sizes, thicknesses, densities, and cross-sections. The selection of fit pods from the set may be aided by taking anatomical measurements of the wearer's head and analyzing the measurements with respect to the geometry of the helmet to produce a pressure map. The measurements may be taken by physical contact or by non-contact means. The fit pods may be selected to optimize a pressure map, and thus optimize the fit, for a given wearer of the helmet.

Abstract: Effectiveness of a neoepitope-based immunotherapeutic composition against a tumor can be increased by predicting the surface presentation of the neoepitope bound to the HLA molecule of the tumor cell. Surface presentation levels of neoepitopes can be predicted by identifying any changes in omics data of the tumor cell that may affect the expression or surface trafficking of the HLA molecule and that may affect binding affinities of neoepitopes to the HLA molecule.

Abstract: A building intelligence gathering, assessment and decision-support system including a GPS system deployed about the Earth and supporting a plurality of GPS satellites for transmitting GPS signals to the surface of the Earth. A building data sensor network, including a plurality of GPS-tracked rooftop-mounted sensors, are mounted on the rooftop surface of the building, and adapted for collecting GPS-indexed data specifying conditions on the rooftop surface at particular dates and times of the year. The building rooftop conditions includes one or more conditions selected from the group consisting of snow load conditions, windspeed and direction, and temperature. The system also includes one or more hand-held mobile augmented-reality (AR) based rooftop navigation and inspection devices, each configured for communication with communication servers within a data center over a wireless data communication network.

Abstract: A method of neural network model compression is performed by at least one processor and includes receiving an input neural network and an input mask, and reducing parameters of the input neural network, using a deep neural network that is trained by selecting pruning micro-structure blocks to be pruned, from a plurality of blocks of input weights of the deep neural network that are masked by the input mask, pruning the input weights, based on the selected pruning micro-structure blocks, selecting unification micro-structure blocks to be unified, from the plurality of blocks of the input weights masked by the input mask, and unifying multiple weights in one or more of the plurality of blocks of the pruned input weights, based on the selected unification micro-structure blocks, to obtain pruned and unified input weights of the deep neural network.

Abstract: A wearable sound therapy device includes a housing, and a loop cord coupled to the housing for supporting the sound therapy device pendant from the neck of a user upon a torso of the user. Audio electronics are resident in the housing and include a bone-conduction transducer, an audio file storage medium storing an audio file, a power supply, and a transducer control unit structured to energize the bone-conduction transducer based on the stored audio file to bone-conduct sounds to the body of the user. The stored audio file can include a compressed audio file such as an MP3 or MP4 file of pure tone sounds.

The filter includes a vessel having at least one inlet and at least one outlet, a media bed including a plurality of media layers, an uppermost media layer of the media bed including substantially uniform and spherical glass micromedia, the plurality of media layers increasing in density from the uppermost media layer to a lowermost media layer and an air distributor configured to direct a volume of air through the plurality of media layers. A system for treating water is also disclosed. The system includes a source of water to be treated, a filter vessel as described herein, and a treated water outlet fluidically connected to a filter vessel outlet. A method of retrofitting a filter vessel as described herein is also disclosed. The method includes removing the uppermost media layer from the media bed and installing a media comprising substantially uniform and spherical glass bead micromedia into the media bed as the uppermost media layer.

Abstract: A load control system may include control devices capable of being associated with each other at one or more locations for performing load control. Control devices may include control-source devices and/or control-target devices. A location beacon may be discovered and a unique identifier in the location beacon may be associated with a unique identifier of one or more control devices. Upon subsequent discovery of the location beacon, the associated load control devices may be controlled. The beacons may be communicated via radio frequency signals, visible light communication, and/or audio signals. The visible light communication may be used to communicate other types of information to devices in the load control system. The visible light communication may be used to identify link addresses for communicating with load control devices, load control instructions, load control configuration instructions, network communication information, and/or the like.

Abstract: Systems and methods to pump fracturing fluid into a wellhead may include a gas turbine engine including a compressor turbine shaft connected to a compressor, and a power turbine output shaft connected to a power turbine. The compressor turbine shaft and the power turbine output shaft may be rotatable at different rotational speeds. The systems may also include a transmission including a transmission input shaft connected to the power turbine output shaft and a transmission output shaft connected to a hydraulic fracturing pump. The systems may also include a fracturing unit controller configured to control one or more of the rotational speeds of the compressor turbine shaft, the power turbine output shaft, or the transmission output shaft based at least in part on target signals and fluid flow signals indicative of one or more of pressure or flow rate associated with fracturing fluid pumped into the wellhead.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for scrubbing anomalies from an expanding dataset. In an embodiment, a data sanitization system may determine whether data is anomalous to a set of data stored on a first blockchain. The data sanitization system may perform this determination using a first machine learning algorithm trained using the set of data. Upon determining that data is anomalous, the data sanitization system may publish the data in a second blockchain different from the first blockchain. The data sanitization system may monitor data of the second blockchain and apply a second machine learning algorithm to this data to identify a pattern of anomalous data. In response to identifying the pattern, the data sanitization system may publish the anomalous data of the second blockchain to the first blockchain.

According to one example, a method includes: grouping data objects of a first training set into a plurality of clusters; training a base model using a first cluster of the plurality of clusters, the base model being a neural network having a plurality of nodes; generalizing the base model to obtain a generalized base model, the generalizing the base model including setting a portion of the plurality of nodes to have random or predetermined weights; determining that the first cluster is, out of the plurality clusters, most similar to a second training set; and training the generalized base model using the second training set to obtain a trained model.
