Abstract: According to one or more embodiments presently disclosed, a method for processing a chemical stream may include contacting a feed stream with a catalyst in a reactor portion of a reactor system that includes a reactor portion and a catalyst processing portion. Contacting the feed stream with the catalyst may cause a reaction forming an effluent. The method may include separating the effluent stream from the catalyst, passing the catalyst to the catalyst processing portion, and processing the catalyst in the catalyst processing portion. Processing the catalyst may include passing the catalyst to a combustor, combusting a supplemental fuel stream in the combustor to heat the catalyst, and treating the heated catalyst with an oxygen-containing gas. The supplemental fuel stream may include at least 1 mol % of one or more hydrocarbons, and a weight ratio of catalyst to hydrocarbons in the combustor may be at least 300:1.

Abstract: A vehicle particulate matter contamination recovery system includes a particulate matter filter receiving exhaust gas from an engine. A particulate matter sensor is positioned downstream of the particulate matter filter, the particulate matter sensor collecting a non-combustible contaminant on a circuit of the particulate matter sensor and generating a current indicating presence of the non-combustible contaminant. A total volume of water collected during multiple cold start operations of the engine is passed onto the sensor acting to at least partially dissolve the non-combustible contaminant. The particulate matter sensor is operated in a remedial action mode of operation having no voltage applied to the circuit of the particulate matter sensor until a quantity of the cold start operations corresponding to the total volume of water is reached.

Abstract: The vehicle mounted perception sensor gathers environment perception data from a scene using first and second heterogeneous (different modality) sensors, at least one of the heterogeneous sensors is directable to a predetermined region of interest. A perception processor receives the environment perception data and performs object recognition to identify objects each with a computed confidence score. The processor assesses the confidence score vis-à-vis a predetermined threshold, and based on that assessment, generates an attention signal to redirect the one of the heterogeneous sensors to a region of interest identified by the other heterogeneous sensor. In this way information from one sensor primes the other sensor to increase accuracy and provide deeper knowledge about the scene and thus do a better job of object tracking in vehicular applications.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for overlaying themed imagery onto real-world objects in a head-mounted display device (HMDD). A computing device receives, from an HMDD, depth data that identifies distances from the HMDD to surfaces of a plurality of objects in a user space. The computing device detects at least one object in the user space based at least in part on the depth data. The computing device determines a classification of video content being presented on a display system of the HMDD. The computing device selects, based on the classification, a particular image theme from a plurality of different image themes, the image theme comprising one or more image textures. The computing device sends, to the HMDD, at least one image texture for overlaying the at least one object during presentation of the at least one object on the display system of the HMDD in conjunction with the video content.
